I was able to reach the parts dept., after waiting "in the order my call was recieved". I spoke to a guy named Jeremy, and I told him i had a problem with my CC being charged for a part i don't think i'll ever see, and asked him to transfer me to billing, that's where the BIG dogs are.

Well, here's an update on my experience with ATVD. Tonight after work I was finally able to head over to my parents place where I had the scoot shipped. It had arrived last week and my father, brother, and sister's fiance took care of the uncrating and assembly, so I don't have any photos or anything to relating to that to share. They said it took them about an hour and a half to 2 hours to get everything assembled and ready to go. After filling and charging the battery, they tried to start the scooter...nothing. Starter didn't even turn. The flashers and lights worked, but when they tried the starter button, nothing happend. Not wanting to mess anything else up, they quit and waited for me to get from vacation.
After getting over there tonight, and verifying that they were not, in fact, idiots and missing something, and seeing for myself nothing happened when the starter switch was depressed, I started doing some troubleshooting. My first inclination was that a fuse or switch was bad. I pulled the covers over the handlebars to expose the back of the switches, etc., when something catches my eye. The wiring harness into the back of the starter button looked a bit strange. I see that the wiring clip wasn't fully depressed into the back of the switch...i clip it in, try to start it, and lo and behold, it cranks over! A few seconds of cranking and the engine starts! I think that is the first time I've ever troubleshot something on a motor vehicle and found the problem with the very first thing I tried!
I go ahead and adjust the carb, drain the engine and gear oil and replace them, then give it a spin around the block. Runs beautifully! I can tell the mixture is a bit rich, but I can take care of that later. When I get back, my father has today's mail and something came from ATVD. The MCO! Didn't even have to request it. Gave the scoot a quick once-over, found some loose bolts, some vacuum line clamps that were loose, etc. Sunday I'm going to give it the full prep job, and tomorrow going to title it, so hopefully I'll be scooting next week!
Overall, my experience with ATVD was positive. Although communication was a bit lacking, they did get me what I ordered and at a great price, and even sent out the MCO without me badgering them about a week after the scoot went out. Shipping took about 3 weeks or so after I ordered it...could be quicker, but with the current demand, I'd consider it pretty good. I'd defenitely use them again for another scooter purchase. Looking at their website now, I see my scoot's price was raised $150! Got in at the right time.

Maybe they're finally getting their stuff together. I finally got a certificate of origin today (I've been waiting for over seven weeks) unfortunately, its for a different scooter. I've pretty much had it with them; I've been lied to too many times and ignored for too long. I should be headed to Dallas in a couple of weeks... if they don't sort it out by then, they can just take this POS back.
