I ordered their SC-14 150cc milano scooter on the 3rd at midnight, i called later that day to pay for the scooter and was told the billing department (in charge of ebay auctions) was closed until monday and i should call back then.
Ok, well this just means 2 more days added onto my wait time. But, a few hours later, one of the managers called and said he would complete my order for me to get things rolling. Well I received an email within a day that showed my order status, which i checked daily. I asked many questions which were not high priority, and they answered all of them (even after i paid). Now their responses were always short and to the point, but answered the question nonetheless. For instance i received two order numbers and wasn't sure which i should use to track my order, i emailed and asked and their response was simply 12345 (well the real order number) and nothing else. Good enough for me.
Fast forward to the 9th of may (yesterday) i checked the order status page and there was a tracking number. I went to estes-express (the shipping company they are using) and the tracking number comes back as having the BOL electronically handed to estes, but freight not yet tendered. So in all it took 5 days for atvdiscounter to contact the shipping company and setup the shipment. I don't think thats too bad with it being the busy season. Anyway i'll keep updating this with whatever good/bad things happen with my experience. I know this isn't majorly important stuff, but sometimes people want to know small things like these.

Definitely the busy season, you have no idea! I've been on the phone with them a lot lately, they can't seem to keep anything in stock, and they're waiting for shipments to come in for what I'm going to be ordering, said to call back Monday. Hopefully that'll get the ball rolling, because I want to start rolling! Good luck with your purchase.

what model are you waiting for? I bought mine through ebay to get the vehicle protection they offer and i figured if they're auctioning it off they more than likely have it in stock (maybe not, but seemed logical at the time)

mortar, I'm a very active seller on eBay and if i list something, then I have it in my posession. That doesn't mean that everyone does and especially in the case of drop shippers. I've bought many things that state the location is in the US but later learned after waiting for a long time that they were actually shipped from overseas. Everything from shirts to computer parts has been done this way. If you buy just about anything with the location stating California and it's a new electronic device, I'd bet you it's shipped directly from China. The more that scooter sellers on eBay sell, the faster you'll get them to you.

One of their affiliates sells it, but being as there's a "B" and non-B model, ATVD doesn't know what they have (and it doesn't specify B on the crate, either). I *really* wish Roketa had given it a different model # rather than just adding a B on the end of it and causing all this mass confusion, but oh well.

Their prices seem to bounce around, the SunL 250cc was $1499, then it was $1588, then it went back down to $1499. I have a feeling though with how the feeding frenzy in the scooter market is right now though, that price trends are definitely on the incline. Next time ATVD (or another dealer) hikes their prices up, expect them to stay that way. There was a dealer I was looking at that has a shipping charge (most of these places roll the shipping charge in their price). Overnight, it went up $50. Moral of the story, if you want a scooter at a decent price, you better get it now before prices go up any further.

well contacted the shipping department through email and they replied pretty quick. Trisha gave a table showing what the computer considered a 10 day wait time... technically ten days would be tomorrow (excluding weekends) but according to the "computer glitch" ten days would be next monday.. so i'm supposed to call her on monday if my tracking number isn't updated and she'll call the warehouse to see whats up

I just bought two scoots from ATV Discounter.com. Roketa MC-54 250 and the Sunl Cozumel 150 Crusier. I got the same explanation. 10 days for shipping. I'm hoping by May 24th or there about to see a tractor trailer pulling up to my house dropping (carefully) off in my driveway, two beautiful scooters. Which I will smartly tear-down, tighten, replace, check, drain, all my bolts, nuts, screws, fluids, hoses, oil, electrical connections, coolant. Did I forget anything else? Neal

Hi Gazzoo, waiting on the MC-54. I got the same e-mail response. Computer Glitch. Ordered mine April 29th and the Credit Card Charged May 1,2008. Funny how the computer worked for that. May they need the geek squad! I have a tracking #. Estes hasn't be tendered yet. Estes said to call shipping. I did that. They said that they had a shipment going out on Wed. and one out on Friday. Check the Estes site later on in the day. Well mine still hasn't changed. So maybe we are waiting on a slow boat from China. Didn't think that this was going to be along process. Even after it gets here, you still wait on the paper work to show up. Thought I would have had this thing before the Memorial Weekend. When I ordered it. Would have like to taken it out for a ride. To all those who go for a ride, post picture of all the fun you had. It might ease my depression.

Estes has been used as the shipper by some other dealers because of low cost but after damage rate was found to be excessive, they were dropped by some dealers. If the deal goes through, check your scoot over carefully and don't hesitate to refuse it. Don't make the mistake of thinking you can easily fix the damage and that the dealer will assist yo with parts!!!!!

In case anyone was wondering, it's pretty much been confirmed now, ATVD is only carrying the 54B's now, they've stopped ordering the 54 non-B's, and they also say they are so far behind that if you get your shipment within 3 weeks (and your MCO another 3 weeks after that) consider yourself lucky! They are VERY backed up right now, as many other dealers are as well.

Yeah I suppose so, with gasoline prices going up. It would not surprise me to see a large number of people getting scooters now.

Yea i suppose i'll wait it out.. but only because the guy i talked to on the phone admitted they were backed up and it was their fault the order had not shipped... this Trisha lady could have just told the truth from the beginning and saved face instead of being a damn liar. I figure even if i get my money back i won't find another scoot at $800 anyway... but i can only be so patient

(By coincidence the driver used to work for the company that I work for) I have heard some horror stories, however. I only had a couple of nicks that I used Hooker Red nail polish on. Worked goooooood. Time for a cruise, hang in there guys, you'll be scootin' soon enough.

Ok, as a follow up to my post here, I just talked to Steve @ ATVD and I guess by popular demand, they're getting the "A" models back in again, just to confuse us even more! I really wish they would update their website with both, or just carry one or the other. Not to mention they still have Vog's, and those aren't on their website either! Best advice one can give with dealing with ATVD is call them, don't trust the website. In any event, they're selling out of pretty much everything they get in stock, things are booming, prices are skyrocketing, it's crazy.

Too bad you're not a little closer, i'm up by rockford waiting for my scoot to come. Some people have had their MCO and BOS under there seat when they got their scoot (and those forms worked for registering), so we may get lucky (doubt it though). Let us know when it comes, be sure to rip that box apart and check it before signing anything

Tracking status has changed to awaiting departure and now shows an eta of 5 /27/08 so heres hoping next tuesday will be the day (if not hopefully anytime next week) Well, my 10 day "waiting period" came and went. As of today-thursday (monday the 26th was a holiday),I will have been waiting 13 business days (not including weekends or holidays) However, I still see no change up at ATVDiscounter site or Estes Express site. Both still say "Shipment Prepared" and "freight has not been tendered.." respectively. Called on tuesday to get some sort of confirmation out of them as to when I could expect shipment. " Well sir... did you check the shipper? Usually they don't update their website tracking within 24 hours so it can look like it didn't ship yet" ?WHAAAAAAT? Did they ship, or didn't they ship yet. Give us an HONEST ETA of our goods. PLEASE, just be straight with us consumers! Neal

Neal,
If your scoot was sent via Estes Freight, they are very bad about updating the website. I have gotten a lot of deliveries from them, and usually the first 'update' I get is the phone call saying can we deliver tomorrow... website still said waiting for pick-up.
