Yea, just my luck! Well, here is the update! ATV Discounters is almost useless when it comes to getting a straight answer out of them. However one fellow at extension 7002 was very helpful, really. Didn't lie, straight with answers.
Anyway...
I ordered on May 12th, two scooters....... , as of June 5th, I'm still waiting for my two scooters. No idea where they are, or when they are coming.
How about some prayers?

Ext 7002 is Doug. Good guy for the most part, doing the best he can in their chaos, but just as guilty as the rest of them for not returning phone calls and all the other nonsense going on there.

By the way before they decided on canceling my order I was told this:
The old shipping policy stated "most orders are shipped between 7 to 10 business days" not that all orders are shipped within 7 to 10 days. Our current average is about 15 to 17 days

15 to 17 business days! At 18 business days that makes me above average, right?

for those of you who HAVE received their product, can you please tell me, did they give you a call about delivery first? how far in advance? some of you mentioned you had received a receipt after order too. i never received receipt or email or anything. they have once confirmed verbally that i even HAD an order. ordered 5-14. anyone had any luck with just rescinding the cc charge? thanks all!

hey sleeper,
u may want to make a few calls, you should have rec a bos (receipt) right after they charged you. Then within a couple more days you get a tracking number that means nothing till they actually ship the part.
From time of order to time of tracking was with in a couple days. The waiting game is after that with little to no activity.
Good Luck

so what did doug say? anything positive? Nothing really, looking back. They all suck, sorry to say. Same ol' run-around "when did you order?", Oh!, It takes 10 business days to ship!", "What did the shipping company say the scooters are at?", " We have no idea where or when they are going out of", "Call back in a couple of days". Sigh! Neal

Sorry to hear that. I ordered my vintage (it looks like the vintage) on mothers day night and rec'd it the wednesday after mem. day. I did get an email confirming my order. It came almost perfect, and it looked even better than the pics. It was not a fully assembled unit, so I had to do a little set up. When I tried to start it it fired almost instantly. I haven't even had to adjust the idle yet and it has 160 trouble freee miles so far.
I am however waiting on parts from a damaged scooter I received in april. The claim was made etc. so we shall see If they ever arrive. I did send an email regarding that subject 2 wks ago, no response yet. That scooter hasn't missed a beat either, it has 900 miles on it.
Yes Doug seems like a good guy, has a good sense of humor. Sounds pretty laid back.
I guess I can say that I have had a positive experience with them. I have yet to find a place that sells cheaper. I could have paid $500.00 more for a Lance vintage with tiny wheels.

Man, if I were you, I'd just cancel the order before its too late! Seriously. But if you still want to take a chance or you're really a glutton for punishment, you might as well start emailing and calling ATVdiscounter now. Along about Christmas, once you've got an order number and a tracking number, you'll need to contact the shipping company and request that the driver call you if thats what you want. Mine was shipped with Estes; as soon as I had a tracking number, I called to verify the delivery date and request the driver call an hour before delivery. So far, thats the only thing thats gone off as planned.

I placed an order for a kids ATV for a Christmas present for my nephew last December with these guys. The ATV shipped out about 4-5 days after I ordered it and arrived with no damage. Was very happy with that purchase, so I thought I'd go with them again when I decided to get a scooter. I placed my order online on May 23rd. Kept checking my order status and this Monday, June 2nd, the status changed to "Shipment Prepared" and I have a tracking number from Estes Express. When I go to track it on Estes website, I enter the tracking number and it gives me a status of "BOL electronically received" or something like that. I'm HOPING this actually means that my scooter is boxed up and ready to ship, just waiting for Estes to pick it up. I'm going on vacation next week and going to be out of the country for a week, so hopefully when I get back I'll have a scooter waiting for me. If not, I'm going to dispute the credit card charge and let the credit card company fight it out with these guys. I wish I would have read this thread before putting in my order! I just hope I'm one of the lucky ones, if I actually get my scooter, I guess the next obstacle will be getting the MSO....

And yea its been over a week since i received my scooter and they haven't shipped the MSO yet (atleast no ones told me) so you can expect to wait for that too.

This is what Estes explained to me The pro number that you have provided is in reserved pro status. This means that we have assigned the shipper this pro number, however, we have not yet received the freight from them. There is no tracking information available at this time. You may want to contact your shipper to find out when/if they have scheduled for us to pick up the freight.

This is a direct quote from their website:
"ATVDiscounter will automatically mail your registration paperwork (MSO & Bill of Sale) to you on all street legal units, absolutely free. The majority of paperwork is mailed via priority mail the day after the unit is shipped from our warehouse. Most paperwork is delivered prior to you receiving your unit, but in rare cases it can take up to two weeks after unit delivery. Please allow up to two weeks after unit delivery to receive to your paperwork."
"Up to two weeks" means (too me, anyway) that at the most, I'll be waiting two weeks. I've been waiting a month for the paperwork. Two weeks ago, they swore they were mailing it out that day. I live about 200 miles from Ft. Worth, I could have walked there and back in less time but I still have no paperwork.

Here's the update on my situation. I called a number that Sheri Barling gave me and, lo and behold, she answered the phone. After I got over the shock I explained to her that I ordered my scoot on May 8th and received nothing. I was immediately transferred to Kelly, the Shipping Manager, who then put me on hold for a long time while she researched my order. When she finally got back on the line she said that my salesman, Rick Strickland, would be giving me a call. A few minutes later Rick actually called me! Two shocks to the system in one day. Rick FINALLY fessed up and said that the scoot that I ordered (Sunl 250 - 22) was out of stock and that they wouldn't get any more in until a week and a half later. I asked him if they had any other 250cc scooters available and he said he would have to make a few phone calls to the other stores to see if they had anything. I called him back about 1 1/2 hours later and he said that the only ones they had in stock were the Roketas. I said GREAT! because I really wanted a Roketa in the first place instead of the Sunl. I told him to ship it out right away and it didn't matter what color it was. He then said that the only problem is that I paid $1848 for the Sunl and the Roketa now costs $1999. However, if you look at the web site, the Sunl now costs $1998 ($1 difference). He's going to check to see if the owner will bite and let me have the Roketa for the same price.
I think these guys are starting to feel the pressure and getting with the program. I hope I'm right and I get a scooter sometime soon.

Well, I got a call this morning from Rick (it's nice that I don't have to call him) and he said that they now have to ask the owner if they can do the deal for the same price. What's funny about his comments is that he indicated that there are about 3 other guys who are in the same situation as me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed but I can't help but smile at the fact that this is the most customer service I've received since I placed my order. I hope it keeps getting better.

Okay, I just got a call from Rick Strickland and they are going to send me the Roketa and in the color I requested. After this long it's refreshing to know that they are starting to do right. I just hope that it ships out real soon.
Does anyone have any idea where most of these guys get their scooters from? It seems like it would be simple to open your own shop with just a few Chinese scooters and sell them like hotcakes.

yea that may work, but if you mean sell locally you better be able to provide some kind of support, its a lot easier to have crappy customer service when the person complaining is across the country

Well i know in illinois you need the MSO and something that shows how much tax you paid (BOS or invoice etc) But when i told the lady i haven't paid any yet she said then i probably wouldn't even need that just the MSO. Idk what WI requires but i know in Missouri they accept the unsigned MSO and the Invoice
