Well, I got a call this morning from Rick (it's nice that I don't have to call him) and he said that they now have to ask the owner if they can do the deal for the same price. What's funny about his comments is that he indicated that there are about 3 other guys who are in the same situation as me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed but I can't help but smile at the fact that this is the most customer service I've received since I placed my order. I hope it keeps getting better. talked to the shipping dept. today. explained that I waited thier 10.. then 15 -18 + day period (not including weekends or holidays...phew!) I thought that was a little too long, I had been patient enough. She stopped me...put me on hold.. came back on the phone and said " Let me call you back before 6 'O clock tonight and let me see what we can do." Then...dial tone. sh!t! I SHOULD NEVER LET HAVE LET HER HANG UP! I'm such a pushover. LOL! PS. It's 4:51 EST, and still no call from ATVD, go figure. Neal

We are on the cusp of a movement, service, both online and local has to get better as more two-wheelers hit the road. I've a dealer in Cincinnati who will work on my scoot. Take heart we're taking the lead here and people can see it, we are an example to our friends and strangers, read the forum daily & don't be afraid to take that scooter apart to keep it on the road !

Time for a call to Lisa Madigan office AG. for IL. She's big on consurmer affairs. I hope to get this on the road by the fouth of JULY! April 29 this scooter was paid for. This is not worth all the trouble. Should have gonne with B&M Dealer near by.

Big Time Update
After much stress (mostly on my end) it turns out that ATVD has come through. Rick called me on Friday and said the Roketa will ship out this weekend and at no additional cost. I just got off the phone with the local Estes Express terminal and they said they had the scooter there. Hooray!! I've made arrangements to have it delivered to the house on Wednesday. I'll post some pics when they drop it off. I'll also post an update on the MOS issue when I start that process. According to Rick, I initiate the process by filling out a form on the website. However, I had to ask about that before he disclosed that information.

Well, here is the latest from ATVD.
After calling... REPEATEDLY... trying to reach a human. SUCCESS!
After speaking with Nathan Robinson in shipping, he mentioned that one of my scooters were on backorder (I have two on order) , but would be in on wed. then shipped out immediately. (yawn! getting tired of these excuses) However, not like I have much of a choice, I'll wait until wed. and see what happens.

It's funny, after speaking with ATVD today, I called them back. Something they said bugged me. One scooter I ordered was or backorder. So I thought "self...why not just send the scooter that is in stock, and wait and sent the other when it arrives instock".
I called ATVD back, spoke to Angie, and explained this logic to her. She said that they couldn't do that because they couldn't split the two scooters (?), I countered that if I made two separate orders they would have no problem sending me the scooters separately, and since they are not giving me any sort of discount for sending both at the same time why not send them when they are available?
My other argument was that the 1 month mark was approaching (3 days) and still no scooters. My credit card company is expecting payment, and I'm not interested in floating a free loan to ATVD.
So they are suppose to call back today (yea, right) to see about shipping out my Roketa(?). And for confirmation for shipping the SunL on Wed. (surrrrrre.)
You know what really crimps my nipples is that if they only had the courtesy and commonsense just to call me instead of ME having to chase them down for answers would eliminate so much anxiety.
Here is to "more of the same"

Well no one answered so i just hung up... BUT!!! checked the mail today and i guess i don't need a tracking number anyway, the signed MSO was in my mailbox and the VIN number matched so i should be good to go. I would recommend emailing nathan.barling@atvdiscounter.com, he is helpful and although it sounds like he's lieing most of the time, it seems like he actually does what he says he's going to. He said they'd ship it friday and it looks like they did... just glad i don't need to ever call them about my scooter again.. doubt the warranty would help me anyway.

However, I had to ask about that before he disclosed that information. I don't know if you've noticed but, on their website, on the MSO request page, its says, "ATVDiscounter will automatically mail your registration paperwork (MSO & Bill of Sale) to you on all street legal units..." then later says, "If you need to request a certificate of origin and bill of sale for non-street legal vehicles, please fill out the form below." My understanding of that is for a street legal scooter, the paperwork gets sent automatically. If anyone at ATVD had actually informed me that I needed to fill out the form from the get go, they could have saved me the first two weeks of waiting. I've filled out the form on their website four or five times I think, I've sent the request with all the info manually by email a couple of times and I've submitted it over the phone three times. Five weeks of waiting and I still haven't received a return phone call or meaningful email let alone the registration paperwork. Its become an absurdly bad experience; I don't know how they stay in business.

Well you'll probably hate me after i tell you, but i got my scooter on the 30th (would have been 27th but i had to work) so its only been just over a week... I would suggest emailing Nathan Barling, i emailed him last thursday about not receiving my MSO and he said it would be sent friday. I emailed again and asked for a tracking number and he said they'd get it to me this morning (monday).. well they didn't but i did get the MSO in the mail today so i guess thats even better . I checked the postage and sure enough it was sent the 6th (friday). It seems Nathan can get those guys in the titling department off their a$$es.

Hey mortar235, what is Nathan's email? We might need it in the future. It was in reply #102: nathan.barling@atvdiscounter.com Maybe if everyone bugs the crap out of him he'll start cracking the whip on his incompetent employees.

UPDATE:
ATVD said my two scoots are being loaded on a truck today in TX.
After talking to the shipping mgr. Kelly Garret yesterday, we got the problem of why can't we ship scooters to NJ in under 30 days. Graciously, she got the wheels rolling, and got my old buddy Doug (still a very agreeable guy) in on the fun.
Let's see if this really pans out.
PS: Some weeks ago at ATVD, a salesperson was cought putting his name on internet orders (giving him the commission). They also said this mucked up the works by not notifying the correct person in charge of the account in case of a problem. (Like not having a scooter in stock?).

UPDATE: I checked Estes site today with my tracking # from ATVD and lo and behold, it shows my scooter last in St. Louis with a estimated delivery day of today! I believe there was some of divine intervention, since it actually appears my scooter shipped within the 10-15 business days of the order like they state. We'll see if it arrives undamaged and hopefully, just hopefully, the MSO will be under the seat and I can get things rolling. Unfortunately, I leave the country tomorrow morning for a bit so I won't be able to do the prep work and get the thing running until next week. I'll keep you guys updated....

As I told you a couple of weeks ago, bugging them with a constant barrage of phone and email (particularly to Nathan) is the only thing that seems to work. While I was left with a sour taste in my mouth over the ATVD experience, I did end up with a good scooter at an excellent price. I just wasn't prepared for the terrible experience in getting the paperwork to register it. Keep it out of the fences and gullies and you should be fine ;D Happy scooting \-lee-/

I ordered a eagle on May 24th from ATVD. It's been 12 business days (3 weeks) and it still has not begun to be shipped. I tried to email shipping (several times) and never got a reply. I called and stayed on hold for a long time and finally someone got someone who told me that the "new average" for sending a scooter to estes shipping company is 16 business days because they are in the process of "consolidating their wearhouses". when I ordered the scooter I was originally told "most" scooters ship by 10 days. Best case, it doesn't look like I will have the scooter for least a month after the day I ordered it.
I'm actually really glad to have found this site- I was begining to wonder if ATVD was a legitimate company and I was begining to think that I had been scammed. I was considering trying to cancel my order or report a fraudlent charge to my credit card. But thanks to this site, it looks to me like ATVD is just a company with terrible customer service in exchange for great prices. they should be more upfront about what to expect - They really do have cheap prices! I bet most customers would be happy to wait a month for a scooter at a 25% discount (if they know up front what to expect and just have decent enough customer service to be assured that the operation isn't a scam).
I'll keep you posted on whether I get the scooter I ordered (and when), if it is damaged and how long it takes to get the MSO. If I end up canceling the order, I'll post that too.

ATVDiscounter's New Ad Should Read.... "ATVDiscounter. Get your ATV and Scooters Cheap! 25% Cheaper than anyone else! But it's gonna take a month and a half".
If they said that up front, I might still buy from them.

Damn ATVDiscounter is a Crummy Worthless Excuse for a business!! I ordered a left handlebar switch from them a week & 1/2 ago. and Rob, the service mgr. was supposed to call me back in a week to let me know he recieved the part and it was on its way to me. So, now its 1.5 weeks later and He has my $73 from Credit Card and I don't know where in on Earth my part is that makes all my lights work. Without my switch i have no running lights at all just brake lights. If I can't reach anyone by the end of the week, I'm going to see about getting my money back and ordering the part on ebay for $58+ $8 s/h, even though ATVDiscounter was going to refund my $73 after I sent them my defective switch. If you haven't ordered from ATVDiscounter yet, DON'T!!!!!!!! Today after I had the owner to get Rob, the service mgr. on the phone, He told me at least 2 if not 3 different stories about why I haven't recieved my switch yet. He told me yesterday that he had recieved the part and shipped it out to me, but didn't have the tracking # in front of him, but i still didn't believe him. So, today I called back to get the tracking #, Only to find out that He recieved the part but mailed it out to the WRONG customer!!!! He said a Vog 150 owner needed the exact same switch (L handlebar control switch). So now that custmoer is Supposedly going to overnight the part back to them and I should have it by Fri sat or Monday at the latest. Like I said in my first post, DON't ORDER FROM ATVDiscounter!!!!! Oh yeah, Almost forgot to mention the BEST part. Rob said he got the part 2 days after he ordered it, but that didn't do me any good, because its now been 2 1/2 weeks since i ordered the $73 part. I paid for the part to get it to me quicker, but that didn't work When I finally do get the new part, and send in my broke one The owner Glen Barling promised to refund the $73 to my Credit Card. There's no tellin' how many phone calls that is going to take though.

Wildbill, do you have any phone numbers or email addresses that you might recommend for getting ahold of someone? I've been trying for six weeks to get someone in parts to answer the phone or an email... Today, I tried every extension from 7000 to 7013 and every one had a full voicemail box so I couldn't even leave a message.
