I have had this Roketa Machoman 260 for nearly a year now, and still can't trust it. I've replaced all hoses, etc, but it still will suddenly just totally stop running at road speeds, but not all the time. I recently drove a 45 mile round trip, and absolutely no problems. Then went about 7 miles, and it totally shut down. It usually starts back up, but sometimes has to cool down first. It did have fuel problems at first, but now I think it may be the coil (if there is one), or the CDI unit. Right now, it doesn't start at all; won't even "kick". When it shuts down, it's like turning a light switch off -- it doesn't sputter, just shuts down.
Where can I get a new CDI unit, and/or coil? I really do think this might solve the problem. I like the scoot otherwise.

I'm having the same problem and appears to only happen on a really hot day after riding 20 minutes. went totally dead and after cooling down was fine. I too am suspecting a CDI.

I have a Roketa MC-54 250 cc scooter and I am having some problems with it. It will crank, but won't idle. Goes dead. We have checked every fitting to make sure there is no pressure loss, but still can't get it to stay cranked. Anyone had any problem like this? If so, how did you fix it? Thanks in advance.

Sounds typical of a fuel problem, not so much a pump, but maybe the carb or enricher.

NGK and other foriegn plugs are opposite in heat range numbers compared to the U.S. Unlike U.S. the lower Number being a cooler plug, NGK is a higher number for a cooler plug.

I discovered touch up paint for the '08 MC-54-250B Blue that matches EXACTLY at Wal Mart. I found it in the automotive section where they keep touch up paint for cars. I just went to wal mart and looked at the stuff and found one I thought would be close and it was friggin exact. Wild. Cost was $5.77 The BLUE I found was Dupli-Color brand "Electron Blue Peral" HA 00980 B95-P Honda A Link to the web site of the product is www.duplicolor.com They have a tool on their web site for matching your paint color.

Is there a cross referenced (or cross reference-able) bolt out there that I can use to mount the rotor for the 54B rear wheel? If so, who would carry something like that? Are there other scooters that use the same size? That's the only thing standing between me and the road at this point. I'll order it from Roketa if I have to but I'd love to be on the road sooner than the end of next week. lol. The parts diagram describes the bolt as such: Someone translate please. LOL I received my lovely new hub today (thanks to a swap with Rockin Ran - yay!), got the tire mounted, and was trying to undo the bolts mounting the rotor to the rear wheel. I felt like I was using an incorrect size (not to mention it was ferociously tight!) and it was threatening to round off, so I took the whole thing to Kragen and the damn bolts were on so tight that it was rounding off their allen wrenches. I took it to the tire shop that fixed my valve stems and they were willing to drill them out. They warned me that they would probably not be able to save the bolts and I said that's fine, just as long as I can reuse the rotor. So 15 minutes later, I have a spiffy new rotorless wheel with Viper Stryke tire mounted, a useless old rotorless wheel with a Kenda tire that, in comparison, looks like a diseased donut, and a lonely rotor with no bolts.
EDIT: Answered my own question. Honda dealerships have 8x25 bolts en masse (phew). I had a feeling this would be the case due to the whole Reflex clone thing.

Greetings, Anyone have a cross reference for Rok MC54B Battery. Been on line and haven't found Roketa listed in parts listing for motorcycle batteries. I've looked at auto parts stores like Auto Zone, J C Whitney, OReilly, and Walmart. They usually have Yamaha listed, but would Roketa use same battery? Thanks in advance! Big Jim

battery is a standard 9BS which is available from Wal-Mart in their powersport batteries section.
The MAXX AGM is a good choice.
