I had no problems with the MCO I recieved, it is a valid MCO, and should be accepted without problem at the BMv..

this thread is supposed to be about Mr. scooter and the service provided or not. it is not about your oil changes and riding. that is another topic. please try to keep the threads on topic.

I'm going to chime in on the MrScooters thing again. I've had the bike for what, 2-3 weeks now at least?
Not ONE more email or phone call since I received it and notified them of the problems. I have to hotwire it to start it, no kill switch, still have the issue with the left mirror and windshield.
MrScooters might get it to you at a decent price, but they are just the same as any other drop shipper. Don't expect any service or replacement of parts which are damaged either in shipping or in my case directly from the factory.
I'd advise anyone who gets one damaged on the truck to refuse shipping. Don't expect them to come through with the parts at all, so if you call and Mike tells you to accept the shipment and he will replace anything that is broken - I'd say don't even bother calling until AFTER the driver is taking the busted one back. That way you won't get stuck with a busted bike, and they can get started on sending another quickly.

They never even really see the MCO's, GOldenvale sends them, with return address labels for MRScooter.. It's a service they pay more for. Otherwise, you have to give them the VIN, and they have to request the MCO, and it takes even longer.. BUT, you should have gotten it by now. Like I said, I got my bike on Friday, papers on Monday. That really sucks no papers.. I would say something is up with the address they are sending the papers to. Perhaps they somehow got it wrong. I dunno... That is pretty odd... This is one of the cons of buying online, You might have to wait a month or longer to get MCO, it is a crap shoot, because the importer is in charge of that. It means everyone is at their mercy.. JimK My MCO came from the Las Vegas address listed on the website. I live in Vegas and i received it one day after the postmark date so I think it really did come from here.

Goblue, was yours postmarked as being from Las Vegas? Mine had the Las Vegas return address for MrScooters, but the postmark was from Brea, CA

Hmmm, you know what, didn't look at that. I did look at the date and like I said it was postmarked one day earlier than I received it.

I too am having problems with mrscooters as far as after delivery problems. My box took a good hit during transport and my windshield and trunk are cracked. I have a MC-54-250B in Blue with the big trunk and have given up on mrscooters doing anything to help me. They are pretty much just jerking me around. Anyway, does anyone know the best place to order these parts from. I am just willing to pay to get my scooter in good shape at this point.

You can order directly from Roketa.com(Goldenvale), though it's a crap shoot on when delivery will actually take place. Though, I know when I spoke to Mike at MrScooter, he was really swamped, and remember, he is contacting Goldenvale, so he is getting jerked around by them trying to get the parts to you. He can only pass on what information he has, along with trying to handle the new sales and any other issues.. SO, I would imagine that it will take some time to get.. I am not saying I am 100% positive he is working on getting your parts, as I am not there to oversee his every move. But in talking to him, he did say he was working on it. I am wishing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I think he is honest, and wanting to do right, but is overwhelmed a bit. I hope this all works out soon, and everyone gets what they need. I had emailed him asking about the Helmet hook that wasn't on my scooter. HE told me that He has contacted Unique numerous times, and was finally told that the MC-54-250B did not come with a helmet hook. SO, that's ok.. I really would like one, so I'll have to add an aftermarket one. No big deal.

Thank you for the information Jimk. I did get him on the phone one time and he said I had to email him the request so that he could send me a PayPal bill. I did that within 5 minutes and never heard back. I think he just wanted to get me off the phone and I have only gotten a few email responses but they were all telling me to do things like take pictures. When I did the things, nothing came back. I found my windshield pretty easily on the Roketa site but I could not find the large trunk that came with my scooter. Would you know where that is on that site, or where else I could order one?

Thanks for the link, BigGuy, I will tap him for a windshield if I ever get my pathetic excuse for tax relief called a "homestead rebate" from NJ. No.1 in everything that sucks your wallet dry. MrScooters UPDATE: Looks like Mike and crew are back in my good graces, ;D even though I had to prod a little with the BBB stick to get them moving. I have a overnight package waiting for me at the post office that I will pick up in a few hours. I hope its everything I've been waiting for. If my parts quote request is in there also, they will more than recoup the 8 bucks for the overnight when I order the parts after I get my check from the insurance. As for the MCO origin issue, according to Jill who handles the MCO's at Goldenvale, the MCO's are sent to the merchant, not the consumer. There they apply their sticker or other merchant info and paperwork, and then the merchant mails to the consumer. She stated that her MCO processing girl had caught up with her backlog. Who do you believe? everyone has a different version of how and who sends mails the MCO. Oh, well. Add it to the pile of questions for our philosophers and scientists to ponder over for the next decade or so. The pound may never know. But then again, some genius in the pound somewhere will be hauling away many a bone if he\she can solve. Heck, forget jersey taxes, I'm gona have to declare bankruptcy if I keep exceeding my 2 cents worth in these replies. This one has to be closer to a 5 spot!

dschiess, the best way to look for parts on roketa.com is to use the parts catalog that came with the scooter. (the 250B came with one, anyway). If you type in the part number it comes up quickly. Then once the part comes up, you double click on the part number again, and it switches to a full color parts picture for all related parts (electrical, chassis, engine, ect.) and a full list of ALL the parts. Then you can scroll down and just check off all the parts you need and add to the shopping cart. At least, that is how it works for the mc-54(b)-250(b). Hope that helps.

I have looked in my parts catalog that came with the scooter, and I have looked online for the trunk that came with my scooter. The LARGE TRUNK is not listed anywhere. Is there a special place I should be looking?

dschiess, send me a message with your scooter model # and I'll try checking for you. Maybe I'll see something you didnt. MRSCOOTER UPDATE: No luck. Received the wrong MSO for the wrong scooter. If anyone is waiting for a MC-72-150 ordered on the 18th of July. vin# LJ4TCKPB18Y075096 , I have your MSO. Don't expect to get it from MrScooters any time soon. I could do you the favor of sending to you, but it has my name on the back. Might not be worth anything.

MrScooters is slow to respond, but you do get the scooter lightning fast. I ordered mine on the 19th of July, but it did not ship until the 25th. I received it in a lightning fast 4 days on the 29th, and I'm all the way out in Jersey. You should give them a few more days. Especially since its a holiday weekend.
Just pray you get your MCO shipped. Most people had no problems. When the automated paperwork mailed fails, there is a huge problem getting re-orders.
I don't know why Mike and crew seem to just rubber stamp the MCO's w/o looking at them. If they read the thing and (or) bothered to verify against their own records, they would have noticed it was the wrong one.

They don't actually send the MCO's.. THey come with a preaddressed return label, of Las Vegas, but they are post marked Brea CA.. They are sent from the same warehouse as the scooter. They (Goldenvale employees) are supposed to write down the VIN of the scoot they send you, and foward that to the MCO people, who then, when they finally get to yours, pulls the mco, sticks it in a Mr.Scooters envelope, and mails it to you. Mr.Scooters never sees your scooter or your MCO..

Hi Folks - Good News! This dumb old blonde girl from South Carolina got her windshield on. On the MC 68B-150 - there are two small red buttons on the dash. I couldn't figure out what they were until Saturday, they were to set the clock (dah). Anyway, one of the rings was loose, so I took it off - MISTAKE! This red button fell back behind the dash. SO, I commenced to take the screws out of the front panel. When I took the ones out for the speakers, the speakers pulled out leaving a large opening. I was able to reach in and put the red button back in place and put the ring back on. Then I could see all the screws for the windshield. I removed the ones in place, took off the black molding around the windshield. Then I had to line up the middle bracket. I actually had to bend it quite a bit to the right and down until it lined up. VWALA!!! All three screws are in place, the black molding is back on and it works great. Then I reassembled the speakers - I just hated to have to remove the entire front. Hope this helps with anyone else who purchases the 68B-150. I really do like the bike. This week end I'll change the oil and gear oil - hope that's not too much trouble. Although one place here in town that works on the locals sold said they never take the plug out - didn't know there was even a filter in the scooters. Needless to say - they will not work on mine. However, they suck the oil out with a vacuum. I did purchase one of these pumps to remove oil maybe every other time I change it. I have 268 miles and all is well. I have gradually increased the speed and am now up to 58mph. I think I've about maxed out. For the money, I'm satisfied. You'all have a good ride now, you hear.

My two cents on the MCO thing. Scooter shipped 8/5, I received on 8/13. Got MCO while i was gone on vacation, but the post office cancellation date was 8/23 and it mailed from Santa Ana CA, even though it had Las Vegas as return address. The MCO date that Goldenvale signed was 8/18, so they actually signed that doc on 8/18. Took it down to BMV this morning, got the title and tags in no time. Can't wait to go home after work tonight, and get them tags on so I can go outside the neighborhood and open it up a bit.

Just an FYI for all of you waiting for your scoot from Mr. Scooters. I just received my MC-54-250B yesterday, and other than a very small hole in the side of the seat, all was well. Even had a maintenance free sealed battery, charged and ready to go! I ordered mine on August 23rd, had to mail a cashier's check because of some trouble he's been having with credit cards? Anyway, I called several times to check status, and since I have no life, was able to get a hold of someone every time I called. However, we did spend two hours one night hitting redial. Now all I have to wiat for is the MCO. I'm a bit upset because when I ordered, he said he'd ship the day they received payment. USPS shows the check hit the P.O. Box on Tuesday the 26th, they said received Wednesday the 27th, but it didn't ship till Friday, the 29th! Otherwise, paid the extra $10 for rush shipping on the MCO, still haven't seen it. So far I'm happy, did get the "B" version, built June, 2008.
Those who are trying to call, persistence pays off. Keep the phone ringing! I don't know why they don't check the voice mail so we could leave a message. Overall I'm giving MrScooters a "B" rating, because of the fast shipping and difficulty in contacting them. (Funny side note: My first call was answered on the 3rd ring when I placed the order. In fact, two calls placed to them on the 23rd were answered lightening fast. That's why I ordered from them). Will do PDI this weekend then post a full report on my experience.

Hello all.. well, here is my last update on MrScooter.. I have purchased for myself a MC-19-150, and a MC-16-150 for my wife.. I will give Mike an -A- for speedy service on sales, give him a -B- on price, toss in an extra -A- because I think he is an honest person (I had a very hard time sending a money order to a box in Ca to someone I didn't know), and maybe a -C- on getting the paper work shipped out.. but, now the down side, he is a solid -F- on communication, and if it was possible I would rate him lower than an -F- on taking care of problems.. both scooters had issues, mine with hidden damage from not being secured correctly in the shipping crate, and my wifes has a headlight that has alot of rust inside. I am having trouble getting the headlight to get a proper ground because of the rust, so have to be very carefull on the road since lights are req at all times in Oregon.. I have given Mike plenty of time to at least respond and tell me he is doing something, (not a word from him re: anything I have talked to him about) but I am betting he really couldn't care less since I paid by check.. Just a note of caution, I think you will get your purchase from him, but if you expect anything else (like warranty svc, or help with issues) I would try someone else.. I hope I am wrong and he finally comes through and takes care of things, (which I will make sure he's given due credit on here) but I'm not holding my breath..
good luck all and happy scooting..

Hi Chuck.. I sent the money order off USPS Pri mail on 7-24, and the scooter was del 8-1 about 1200 miles from its starting point, so I would say the service was fast, but this was the money order method since thats all he was taking in July.. I sent the payment on the MC-16 on 8-13, and it was del here on 8-22.. on both orders USPS took about 2-3 days to del the money, but then the shipping was quite fast after he got his money.. don't worry to much about his order status page because as most people on here have said it doesn't get updated.. I have no idea about not being charged yet, but maybe he times the charge to it being actually shipped.. on the second order I had no idea it had even been shipped untill SAIA called me and wanted to set up a del time, so that was a nice suprise.. I think you will enjoy the MC-19, I really like mine, but I have to tell you its lacking power (I am going to rejet the carb. The factory must have under jetted it to make the "speed limiter" they refer to in the specs) .. I did a good PDI, and started riding it, but it needed a carb adjustment right out of the box. at 80 miles it started getting very hard to start cold, so being an old time Honda rider for the last 40 years I felt I knew what the problem was.. my old memory was right, I figured it had a tight intake valve (very common problem on Honda with this type of valve adjustments), but I was only half correct.. both valves were VERY tight with .000 clearance, so if you start having issues this is something to think about.. My wife loves her pink retro, and the MC-19 looks just like a crotch rocket coming down the road and handles very well.. I hope this info is a help to you, and hope you get it soon so you have a nice riding season.. good luck.. Dave

dave,
thanks for the info. i have heard absolutely nothing! it seems as though the order went into the ether!!
what was your order #?
if everything times correctly and the mco arrives soon after the scooter and the CC is hit just at shipping, then i guess thats ok.
