Wish I could say I am still 100% satisfied with Mr.Scooters. Delivery was excellent, but since I received my scoot, I've had nothing but a headache with MrScooters. If I could reach someone on the bleeping phone, I'm sure I could resolve my issues quickly. No dice tho. I've been communicating with them via e-mail.
I have yet to receive my MCO. I've requested a 2nd (via mail and on their online request form), and even a 3rd when I received nothing. I insisted on tracking on that 3rd one. Its been over a month since I ordered my scooter on the 19th of July. I'm left with a $2,000 piece of lawn furniture. Every time I managed to get a response, they would tell me what I wanted to hear. They told me that they sent the 2nd copy, and then they agreed to sending again with tracking for the 3rd request, but I never received an e-mail or phone call after with the tracking.
I also had some minor damage from the delivery and asked MrScooters for an invoice on the parts for my claim with the trucking co. I included all the part numbers, and detailed instruction on the insurance company's requirements for an acceptable invoice\estimate. I got a reply the same day that said "tomorow" they would have it for me. That was on the 19th. Today would be the 5th day since then. Nothing. You'd think they would want to make money on parts?. I tried calling Goldenvale Inc. directly yesterday, but they said the dealer needs to call. They only deal with the dealers both for parts, and the MCO request.
I've been forced now to take extreme steps to try to get someone at MrScooters to listen. (BBB, Us Dept. of commerce, on the advice of my attorney.) I'll let everyone know if I get any results.

There are two types of internet scooter dealers:
1) Those that warehouse the scooters they're selling
and
2) Those that are just a dropshipper
Online warehouse dealers actually know what's going on, because what's going on is right in front of them.
Drop shippers rarely know what's going on, because what's going on is occuring in another state thousands of miles away from them.
Online warehouse dealers usually know how to support you after the sale, basicially because they've at least touched the product you bought.
Drop shippers are rarely good at support after the sale, basically because they never even touched the product you bought.
Personally, I have yet to determine what value the drop shipper brings to the whole purchasing experience. They seem to be nothing more than a middle man that just takes the order and passes it on to the real supplier.
That being said, drop shipping can be a great add on tool for the real online warehouse dealer. The online warehouse dealer can expand the volume of sales of a product he already carries and supports by selling drop shipped vehicles. Instead of having even more product shipped to his warehouse to increase sales, he can increase sales by having the product go directly to the customer instead. But the customer is still buying from an online dealer that supports the product because he actually carries them.
That's why drop shipping exists. But drop shipping is being exploited by these new "drop ship only" dealers who are nothing more than an office with a phone, an internet connection, and a website that sell scooters. What value does that add to the whole purchasing experience exactly? It really tarnishes the whole online scooter market as people get really ticked off at the drop shipper. But they're not going to go away as for some strange reason people continue to buy from them instead of real online warehouse dealers.
To each their own I guess.

They never even really see the MCO's, GOldenvale sends them, with return address labels for MRScooter.. It's a service they pay more for. Otherwise, you have to give them the VIN, and they have to request the MCO, and it takes even longer.. BUT, you should have gotten it by now. Like I said, I got my bike on Friday, papers on Monday. That really sucks no papers.. I would say something is up with the address they are sending the papers to. Perhaps they somehow got it wrong. I dunno... That is pretty odd... This is one of the cons of buying online, You might have to wait a month or longer to get MCO, it is a crap shoot, because the importer is in charge of that. It means everyone is at their mercy..

I just wish goldenvale would send out the MCOs by registered mail... then at least there would be some proof when it gets lost/misdirected that they did indeed at least SEND the thing. It wouldnt cost them more than an extra $1.50 per MCO to do, and it would probably save them a lot of grief with customers and CC companies.
I feel for ya folks, I really do. Good luck! MrScooters was great for me... got scoot 8 days after sending MO, and got the MCO 8 days after that...

Got my scooter today! will post pictures in a bit. there was some damage, busted windshield and some paint damage on the rear left side and the right handle dug into the metal bar. also, the right side running board is cracked on the bottom. carton was intact, so i am thinking damage is from the factory/warehouse. contacted mrscoot to let them know, and i did sign for the damage on the bill. anyone know if there is a form on the website i need to fill out? thanks, and wish me luck on the pdi!!!!

Fireburster, that is exactly what I did - I used a pair of the smaller nuts and bolts that came holding the crate together (my crate had 2 different sizes of nuts and bolts on it).

well, got the major parts of the pdi finished ealry this morning, but have a few problems. the brake light stays on like I am holding the handlebars. when I press the handle bars, the lights do not get brighter! everything else is working (don't have the front end on to test the headlights yet, too much rain around here) so hopefully everything on the front end is working. oh, and i messed the wiring up for the radio. anyone know of a link showing which wire goes where? thanks guys!

when I press the handle bars, the lights do not get brighter! The guy on the assembly line in China that is responsible for tightening the left brake handle has made a habit of tightening them too tight...sometimes to the point of breaking the switch. There is an adjustment screw for the lever.

My experience with MrScooters was also good. I'm just having trouble with my windshield. I got the paperwork 2 days after delivery, which was 7 days after they said it would ship. I was order #201. A friend owns a used car/tractor/golf cart shop. He is also a pilot and he said that if I would bring in my scooter (MC 68B 150) he would make a new windshield from lexan, making it a little larger and mount it for me FREE!!! He already has the lexan panels due to replacing the windows/windshield in his airplane. Hope this works. Is anyone on this site from South Carolina?

ok, the brake levers are too tight! the scooter will start WITHOUT me holding the levers. any suggestions on how to go about backing the levers off? the right side is griping quicker than the left, so I would assume the right is the culprit. thanks guys! yeah, mrscoot did get my order out quick, just wish the scooter didn't have so many scratches and damage. oh well, somebody banged this thing up.

Scootermcgee, I have no clue how to handle that with MrScooters. Are you sure it was not shipping damage? Except for the crack and the windshield, my scoot had similar damage. I was fortunate that all the damage happened while my wife and neighbors witnessed. The driver caused all the damage trying to move a 350lb crate by himself and took all the packaging off to try to free the scoot so he could get it off the truck. Anyway, if you choose to file a claim with the delivery co or shipping co, they have their own forms and procedures online on their web site. They send a guy (adjuster) out to look at the damage. Dont put more than a few miles on her until the guy comes out, or he will try to say it is damage after delivery. Good luck trying to get Mr.Scooters to send you a quote for parts. Thats where I'm stuck. No MSO either. I'm really bummed about it. Everything went so well with the purchase and delivery in LESS than 7 days.

Hi, Debido. I'm not from NC, but still on east coast. Your friend could find he can make quite a bit of money if he wants to do custom windshields for the scooting community here at the dawg pound. A person could send him the old windshield as a template and he can give an estimate and make up a new one. Just a suggestion. I have a friend at work with a yamaha scoot that has been looking for someone who would make a windshield for him. Mine on my 250B cracked at the mounting holes. If I could find one made of better material than the oem, I would be in the market also.

...If I could find one made of better material than the oem, I would be in the market also. Ask and ye shall receive! The best windshields on the market are the ones made by Cee Bailey's, and they are a perfect, actually better fit than the factory shield. -Rich

I actually was emailing with Mike at MR Scooters.. He mentioned that he is getting parts out to a few people who had some issues... So your parts should be on the way soon... He is very busy.. THey have sold over 500 scooters now, and only had 5 with any problems... So, that is pretty good... that's less than 1%.. So, I think I would call them a very respectable seller... Also, he asked that everyone who is happy, to please spread the word.. I make sure that after I feel someone out, and are sure that an online dealer is something they can handle, I pass them MrScooters info.. I wont give it to those that don't have the mechanical knowledge to handle it.. I refer them to local stores... I also am asking him to make sure if he has people who seem to lack the skill needed, and call him for technical help to refer them to here.... JimK

Just a warning before ordering parts from Roketa, my wife fell and biffed our new 250B so I got on line on 8/13 and ordered a new turn signal assembly as well as side panels to the tume of $130 plus $35 shipping, got an email verification of the order but no shipping info, looked an the website order is listed as 'open' called last week and the person who I was finally transferred to said, 'looks like the order has gone to shipping' no word on when delivery might be. Called yesterday as nothing has arrived, after talking with 3 different people and giving my order number to each was told by the last person' we don't have any of those parts in stock, if you don't hear anything in 30 days call back' I said '30 days!!!!' she said 'at least, maybe more, these parts come from China you know.'
Just a head's up!

Hey guys, bought my MC-54-150 from mr.scooters. yea! It came in ok but damaged. Whatever. I'm dealing with the shipping company on it but Mr. Scooters is not helping me at all about getting new parts. They won't seem to deal with you once they have received your money and your bike ships. Then I find out 1-1/2 months later that I cannot get it titled. The state of Georgia will not title a Roketa with the first three vin # L8Y which is the Shanghai Shenke Motorcycle Co as the manufacturer. There are other manufacturers of Roketa and the other may or may not be ok. I did not ask as it did not apply to me. All I know is after many phone calls to the Georgia Department of Revenue that gives out the titles they told me what I had could only be used offraod and on dirt roads. I would get a ticket if they saw it on the highways. Great huh. you know what Mr. Scooters said - nothing because you cannot get him on the phone. He will not respond to emails either. Great! Well just beware after talking to the Dallas Goldenvale Inc (distribution center for Roketa) he told me that Mr. Scooters is not registered to sell vehicles in California, Nevada, georgia and everyother state as well. He is actually in the works to get him out from being able to sell Rokets with them. He is doing it illegally. Isn't that great to hear. This is coming from the manager at Goldenvale. Great. So beware of Mr. scooters. Yes they do have great prices and they do ship and you will get your product but you will get nothing after the sale is done. Be careful.
