It's three above just east of Binghamton. I don't imagine it's any warmer where you are. It's supposed to get warmer in the next few days.

Any way to get Rover down to New Orleans for the Big Easy Weekender? (March 27-29) I am sure that he would have one a heck of a time with all the Dawgs down south. That ought to get him warmed up for the summer.

Somehow I think this should have started in Florida over the winter months and worked its way to NY for the summer. Think most of the riders are still hibernating.....

Well today March 17th is Evacuation Day here in Boston, so rover should muster the energy and make tracks.

Update;
Well dawgs and dawgettes, the Gods have been against us here in the Tri-state area this week but we are working on getting him moved along very soon, or at least before you all send a lynch mob after me.

Okay all, Rover is, at long last, on his way. Treesoup met with me and a few of my club member buddies this afternoon in Orange New Jersey. Photos will follow soon. He should be, by this time in Philadelphia PA.

ROVER TAKES PHILLY!!!
Having bid a tearful farewell to Mustang64 in Orange, NJ, Rover took Philadelphia by storm this afternoon. Mustang64, who had brains enough to bring a camera, will be posting some pics.
Rover, resting now from the long trip, plans to see some of Philly's famous landmarks, such as the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and the Pennsylvania Humane Society, before moving on. His next destination is undetermined at this time, possibly involving Honkerman.
Big thanks to Mustang64 and his scootin' crew for their patience and promptness!

That's a gorgeous Vespa. Glad to see Rover is making his way south. And Philadelphia should be great this time of year if the weather holds out. (I've spent quite a bit of time there, sadly none of it was one a scooter).
As the crow flies, Rover's covered nearly 300 miles. Mind if I repost some of these pictures on the blog archive? (They're all still yours. No commercial use will be made, etc, etc, etc...)

This is to ascertain who would like to take Rover on the next leg of his journey. I have posted "Advancing Rover" elsewhere on this forum to gain the attention of dawgs who may be new or do not read stickies.
What is Rover's ultimate destination, and who would like the honor of moving our friend next???

Don't know about driving him there, but in the event of ocean crossings, parcel post is acceptable since there are no aquatic scooters. It'd be really cool if we could send him to Denmark.

Treesoup has him. I plan to pick him up tomorrow on my way back from Massachusetts. Didn't happen on the way up, unfortunately, so maybe now I can do it.

From where Rover is, he could go south down the coast like, or go west, maybe not a bad idea if the westward routes are thawed out... if not then going south and then heading west after coming back up from FL might be good. Just thinking...

Rover has made it to Lancaster. Treesoup transferred him to me this morning, replete with a Phillies bib. Here he is sitting on my scoot at the Rockvale Outlets, ready to ride away We stopped at KFC for some lunch. Rover really wanted some, but my son said no, since it's not good for dogs to have people food. Here he is at Sight and Sound's Millenium theater outside Strasburg, PA. We made our way to the Strasburg Railroad. The train was out, but Rover liked the rail cars just the same. He also liked the "Red Caboose Motel" even though I think it's a little hokey and touristy. The covered bridge in Ronks really caught his fancy too. We toured a bit through Amish country. And that's when Rover tried to ride off without me... After wresting the controls from him, we made our way to Lititz PA And now we are resting at home. I'll look up the next person and try to get him transfered sometime in the next week.

As posted above, Rover is now in the capable hands of Honkerman & Son. It was pleasure accommodating him here in Philly. Best wishes on a safe journey to his next port of call.

Ok, I want to pass Rover on to the next Dawg, but I can't seem to get in contact with him....I was told it should go to "HarmZwy", but am told by the system that user does not exist. So...who wants him, and how shall we work this out?

well around the middle of june i will be heading home to syracuse NY and would love to pick him up to head up there. the scoot is on a trailer but since scoot riders may be few and far between up there he can go by car then start making the rounds. then beginning of october i will be headed south again so if he is in an area i will be traveling i can pick him up and drop him on my way down to the next person.
sccotdawg wants to meet him.

We should really look at moving Scoot Dawg down the east coast during the summer, then the dawgs in the southern states would be able to do some traveling while the rest of us are shut in over the next winter. After all, this is not going very smoothly. At the current rate we will be peddling him around to get this finished, after the oil runs out........
