I bought my wife and I both scooters at the same time from Alitescooters.com out of Edmond Ok. has anyone done business with them? Nothing wrong with the price very competitve in fact got $100 off of each for buying two. Now here is where the fun starts when my scooters came in one was right one wrong made them take the one wrong back got what I ordered two weeks later. Whe I got the first one perfect no blemishes or damage but the second one had 3 blemishes on it and now 6 weeks I have got one of the replacement part and the other two are on backorder. I like a lot of people have had some minor mechanical issues and that's where there service department needs help, they are young and inexperienced and we all make mistakes but when it involves the customer then you should quickly and promptly correct those mistakes instead of continuing apologies and dragging your butt! They will however answer their emails and answer the phone so I finally got with the manager of the store itself and the jury is still out on how much better they do. I think I got his attention and I told him up front I would be listing my complaints on this forum for all to see which carries a lot of weight. Like a lot of folks out there I wish I had known about this site before i bought. They do have some very good deals and the promotion of the lifetime warranty is a good price and I will hold their feet to the fire on every thing, I am not one of these people who just gives up and goes elsewhere when people don't do as they say and the manager sure knows it now so again we will see if things get better. Again I would like to know if any dawg out there has had any dealing with these people? I have been asked to do repairs for this companies customers, by the customers them selves, in Colorado and the people that I have helped said that they were compensated by the company. That seems like a pretty stand up thing to do for an online sales company.

:DI cast my vote for other since you did not have POWERSPORTSMAX on the poll list. i have had only positive results from them. I need to update my original impression of powersportsmax. After nearly 5 months of experiences with this seller, the real problem is that they never have parts you need. I have had to order parts myself from Roketa Goldenvale, Roketa does deliver the parts to me. and powersportsmax has reimbursed me for those parts minus the shipping cost. Why can I get parts from Goldenvale but Powersportsmax can't? Do not think the statement that parts are in stock as stated on their web site means anything, it is not true. Purchase from Scootertronics if you want support, they have been very helpful with my VOG260.

Well I purchased my scooter a Chuanl Adventure 150 cc from a B&M store Power and playwarehouse in Pompano Beach FL on June 26th 2008. I had done some research and go over info from this board which was very useful. Since Florida decided not to give driving tests anymore for Motorcycles effective June 30th I had three days to learn to ride. My experience with my dealer has been very good, the second day I had my scooter it wouldn't start, probably my fault in flooding it they offered to pay for the tow to get it in in if I had no other means of getting it there. Needless to say I didn't take the road test but went to Motorcycle school which I felt to be very helpful. I would strongly recommend this dealer for those in the area price was very competitive, scooter was assembled and test driven before my eyes

I have purchased two scooters on the Internet and have had nothing but positive results from Scooternitro and nothing but negative results from County Motor Sports.

Hey why isn't Valley Scooters on the poll? I know we have been very quiet lately but we are still here. We have been making our move to Georgia from CT. Just got here 3 weeks ago and should be closing on a house in a month, so we are very busy right now but will be back on the forum soon.

I was looking at one of these at a garage near my house and the mark up was $300. Is it worth the $300 to have a guy prep this? I am considering ordering it direct. Any feedback for the Venice or Vintage 150's?

That's a tough question. If you are mechanically inclined and don't mind getting your hand dirty, you can order it direct and save some money. On the other hand if you have a local shop, you can buy it from them and develop a relationship with them for the future when you have questions or problems. Of course, if you do it yourself you will know exactly what was done during the PDI. It would be a good idea to read through the PDI x1scooters.com/pdi.html and then ask the dealer exactly what their prep would be before you get it, so you know if they are doing a good job. By the way, I have the Heritage 150, essentially the same as the Vintage 150. I've been happy with it so far, although I wish it has more under seat storage, can't fit a helmet under the seat... - Tek

I've had quite the BAD experience with ordering parts from Scootertronics! The order was placed on May 28, 2010. It was for a Gates Belt, a high performance air filter and a performance variator. After two weeks had passed I inquired about the status of my order and was told it was shipping that day and I said GREAT! I got a Clik-N-Ship notification and then nothing. A week passed and still nothing so I inquired again and was told the variator was on back order. They could have told me that right from the start. They did send the belt and air filter. The air filter sent was not the one I ordered. I contacted them about that and was asked to tell them which one I ordered so I did a screen grab of the item from THEIR web page and sent that. Michael Milstead (Scootertronics) told me the air filter I had ordered was on back order. Another item they should have stated right up front but they didn't. I have since gotten another Clik-N-Ship email and no further information. I contacted Scootertronics again to inquire what was happening with my order. I sent a couple more emails with no response.
On July 9th Michael emailed me stating he would refund my money.
I emailed back that was suitable to me.
On August 10th I sent an email to Michael stating the delay in refund was totally unacceptable.
THEN on August 10th I receive an email from Michael Milstead saying he was sorry and the whole thing was his fault. What could he do to make it right. I said just send the NCY variator and we'll call it a done deal. He then sends me and email on August 12th complaining to me because he supposedly sent the variator I had ordered and then had to go to the post office and pull it because I had changed what I wanted and he got caught in the rain on his scooter and he complained that he gets 1000 customers a month with broken scooters that he didn't sell.
He also had stated previously that because I was continually contacting them about my order he pulled the order. That's pretty childish in my book.
I emailed him to ask why the variator had not been shipped and his response was: "ok once again, I do not need to keep going over this, thats why you are not getting the parts you keep emailing a story".
That has got to be the most infantile response a grown human being could ever have.
This still isn't settled and I had contacted the Maryland Better Business Bureau about this matter previous to the August 10th email and they requested all correspondence. I have forwarded them all subsequent emails from Michael as well as emails I've sent to him.
I would not buy ANYTHING from anyone who treats customers that way. He even said in an email that he's behind on filling his orders because he also races. Well, which is more important when you have a web site SELLING scooter parts???

Maybe this poll should be redone, with some of the newer dealers that people are raving about.

Maybe this poll should be redone, with some of the newer dealers that people are raving about. Agreed. With their free PDI and competitive prices superiorpowersports.com seems like one of the best. Their BBB and other ratings shows they stand by their product. Yet they are not part of this poll. scooterdepot.us appears to do the most volume. They are not listed either. Some of the sites on the poll no longer exist, or are no longer selling scooters online.

I'm surprised that MxMotorsports.com isn't on the list of BAD Online dealers, total fraud Eric Marabini. He never shipped, sent, did anything other than attempt to take my money. Luckily my CC company had already filed claims against him, needless to say the charge was completely dropped off my bill! If you are having an issue with an online dealer, FILE A DISPUTE CLAIM ASAP! Afterall, the more these companies attempt to fraud people out of their money and the CC companies see the pattern they use of changing business names like I change underwear, MAYBE a few of these crooks will go where they deserve to...jail. I hope "Bubba" get's a hold of these guys and bends these criminals over harder and faster than they try with us! See my posts in good&bad.

Hello all. New to the forum.
I have been riding motor cycles off and on since 1970.
I am looking into buying a 250 scooter for short trips to the hardware stores and such. I am going to buy Chinese because of the price. Jap scooters just cost too much for a ROI with gas savings. That plus it seems most of the Jap manufactures have dropped the 250 size.
A few things I have noticed is different online sellers show the same pictures but call then totally different scooters. Then reading all of this thread it seems it is a cr@p shoot with any online seller.
Anyway, lot of good info on this forum.
