I am having some major issues with the ECOTRONS kit maybe some of you could lend some insight....
engine is a 150cc gy6 installed on a honda ruckus. Kit was all installed according to the instructions as well as some insight from this thread.
Problem i am having is i can not go over 50% throttle without it bogging out completely. Runs fine at all load amounts up to 50% throttle but once i hit that point, it goes imediately lean and pops and spits. I have been in contact with Matt at ecotrons and we have tested a few things but overall havnt had much progress in making this thing run properly.
Also wanted to ask if anyone on here had a GY6 150cc calibration i could try. I am wondering if there is something faulty with the calibration i have.
Thanks!

I can see if your scooter ha spoints. An EFI is something you should replace. But this is a scooter. You are wasting your money, and time when you could be riding. Sure, when you hit the mountains your scoot might hiccup. Chances are when will you be scooting to the Rockies. Remember Dumb and Dumber? An EFI sounds cool and looks cool, its a big waste of time, money and valuable riding time on your scoot. My recommendations are to save your money for something you need, not want. Unless you are the kinda person who has to have new socks and shoes whent hey buy a new car(Thats rims and tires for the laymen) go for it.

chrism929 I don't happen to agree.. Mainepeace did this project because he wanted to try it... He simple documented his attempt here on scootdawg as he felt others would be interested in such a project..
Innovation and the willingness to try something new are sadly lacking now days.. I know in doing this project Mainepeace has learned a lot about his scooter, walked away a better mechanic and a sense of pride knowing he has something truly unique.
I personally don't believe it was a waste of money at all, and if anything Mainepeace added to the knowledge base for us all in documenting his project, As for Mainepeace not riding, I suggest you look up Mainepeace LLC.. This man has a fleet of scooters to ride any time he wants. So he can afford the downtime on one scooter.

I join Larry on this one. I don't think you do a project like this for a specific outcome as much as because you want to give it a try. I know I enjoyed learning about what it takes to do the upgrade and wish I had the wherewithal to try it myself. I'm always checking out crazy car builds and mods on you tube, and the owners can't hope to get out what they're putting in. they think its cool to try it. That's the hobby end of scootering.
