Update, got head pipe tacked together, & mounted in place, doesn't look to bad.. Tomorrow I'll weld it up & add the finishing touches & take some pics.. I may even try to get you some sound waves also..

Alley No sound tonight, when I put her back together I put the #115 jet in, which just ain't going to cut it, got to step up the main jet.. But I'll try to get a sound bite tomorrow.. It's definitely louder. Probably rattling the walls of my rental unit.. My Grandmother is my tenant, though she probably won't call the cops, but she might beat me over the head w/ a frying pan.. ;D ;D

David Sr., Yes, I would imagine with the Drag pipe and nice header pipe and the veloicty stack that you are definitely in the higher range of main jets. I bet with the mods you picked up some hidden STALLIONS:) That thing is surely going to be "THE BLUE STREAK" Did you make the header pipe the same size as the existing exhaust port or is the pipe bigger than the port and you grind some out to match the pipe. hello fellow dawgs jus orderd my bear 3 days ago(MC_TS11) cant wait till it gets here mine is grey new to bikes in general but i love the ideas u dawgs are putting in to ur trikes to dwild and allyoop kutos to u both there is one more person on here making alot of since too cant remember their name right now also dwild do u think u could build me an air filter tube like u did yours i thought that was awsome SO PLEASE PLEASE DAWGS KEEP ME IN TOUCH WOULD LOVE TO GET OUR BEARS TOGETHER IN THE FUTURE LOOK FOWARD TO HEARING FROM U BOTH

Greenhorns, Welcome to the Trikers:) Your trike is like the one Dwild62 has. I think all the current trikers on this forum has learned something from each other about the trikes in general. And from Jrryan I learned about getting speed and dialing in the rpms by replacing the Variator with a Racing Prodigy Variator Kit. This is a very friendly forum and everyone tries to help each other if they can.

thanx allyoop cant wait to get int o the life of triking question im 200+ girlfriend is 130 + trike= 660 will it drag alot most roads here are 45 will i be able to hold that

Hi Greenhorns, The trike limit is I think 430 lbs, so you two guys are will under the max weight. And it should do 45 no problem and probably even 50. But they come with very light weights mine came with 10G and it ran 50 at 8100rpms which is in the Red Zone. Some come with 10.5g weights and those should run around 7800 at 50. I am running 12g Sliders at 7100-7200 rpms at 54-55mph. But I have a Prodigy Variator Kit on which gives you a gain of about 5mph over the stock setup. Alleyoop

Welcome to the group, Greenhorns!!!!! If us trikers keep growing maybe the moderators will give us a forum of our own. Beautiful exhaust work, David Sr.!!! Quick comment on my 150-8. Did the washer trick and solved the loosening hub nut. Still shudders strongly when first starting but stops after the bike is warmed up. Someone here sugested clutch and MountainMoped has experienced the same problem with his, tends to agree. Only have 330 miles on mine and figure that it may be a breaking problem as was suggested. I am going to get the Dyna Beads installed this weekend in hopes of solving the front end 'wobble' that I experience as I accelerate from a stop. It is sort of there even at speed but the wheel is running true. (On the Ruckus clone I can see the front wheel when moving.) Other than that my only problem is the weather!!!! Cant get to ride enough. Merry Christmass to you all. And safe ridingf in the New Year.

Wolfhound, Me and my brother-in law have the same trikes the PST150H and do not SHUDDER. Now, can you sort of explain what you mean by SHUDDER. You will hear a sort of CLUNK when starting off not all the time but thats because of the PLAY in the differential Spider Gears.
If it actually SHUDDERS its the REVERSE and FORWARD Gear NOT adjusted correctly. I know because my brother-in laws REVERSE CABLE was broken and I installed a new one for him. And thats when I experienced the SHUDDER and all you have to do is adjust the cable.
1. If it SHUDDERS going forward you have to loosen the cable a little. Not Much just about 1/8-1/4 2. If it SHUDDERS going in reverse you have to tighten the cable a little. Not Much just about 1/8-1/4.
What the cable is doing is MOVING the GEAR to engage the REVERSE GEAR. It is Spring loaded to SLIDE BACK to engage the FORWARD Gear. So if the cable is to tight the Gear will not FULLY Mesh with the FORWARD Gear. You have about 1/8- 1/4 or so to get the Reverse and Forward to Fulley Mesh when adjusting. So it doesn't take much to get it to Shudder or Not Shudder. Alleyoop

Thanks, Alley Oop. It actually shudders(like bump bump bump) in reverse and in foreward as you accelerate, then quits. If you hit the gas once it warms up you take off smoothly. This is at very slow speeds, not high speeds and not all the time. I will try the spring adjustment this weekend since I am not working and will have time to do it (if this ^&%$ rain will be over by then). Will report back on what happens.

wolfhound & Alleyoop Hay there may be a known defect in the drive of these trikes.. Alley as you already know, Ice Bear finally responded to my emails.. I've sent them a copy of my Title & my online bill of sales, Quan is waiting for a response from Parts Support as to weather they're going to honor the part on the warranty.
The way Quan responded, he knows there's a problem, because he ask me 2 questions, those 2 questions descibe exactly what my drive does.. In the last email he refers to "The Problem Part". Though they haven't said what the problem is or the name of the part..
The email I got from the California Office they said there is something wrong in my gear box.. They would warranty the parts but they had to talk to Scooter Dynasty (my dealer) first.. So I'm assuming this is the Office that Quan is awaiting a response from..

David, I hope that this is not going to be the case. If it is I can count 4, Alley Oop and his brother in law, MountainMoped and I, that are having rear end problems with these units. If it is true and you combine it with all the other problems such as the infamous air filters, the extremely shoddy fuel line and vacuum line problems, the unreported other problems that we have not heard about by buyers who are not ScootDawg members and it reinforces my concept that there is little or no quality control measures in efect in the manufacturing plant that IB uses and little or no oversight being done by IB. A very poor way to win new sales once word gets around. Lets hope that a satisfactory solution for all can be reached. Time will tell.

Dwild62, What were his two questions? Now when the Reverse Cable needs adjusting it will jump and shudder and you can hear the gears hitting each other trying to mesh. It feels like the chain is junping teeth. But this usually happens either going forward or in reverse and not both. Alleyoop
