Hi Troops, Thanks! I emailed Carlos and asked if he has one for a 24mm Carb.
Oh and by the way as you can see and I said it was chilly today, well the HOT ROD got up to 57-58 mph 7300 rpms, 4 strokes sure like COLD AIR:) Alleyoop

Hi Troops, Our CVT Cover has a Pull Rope Start and looking at the Air inlet, the air is going into the Pull Start side and then the air is pushed onto the Variator and Clutch side. Was thinking if cutting out the blocked portion to let the air go directly onto the Variator side would better cool the Variator and Clutch better. Here is a picture of Air inlet looks like. Alleyoop

Hey at the worst they will come back on ya and say counter offer or with it on sale and free shipping that's their bottom dollar! If they do then with the free shipping it's a good price still at $22.49 so I'd grab it and go! Also remember what I told ya and that's polish the inside if it's rough all you can, it does make a difference on your vacuum and power! JRR

Alley this is a common problem with the intake gaskets whether it be the thicker harder plastic one or the paper one or both! See the ring impression on the gasket? It was from the intake itself when bolted on at the factory one can see the gasket/s overlap into the flow of the fuel/air! Not only do you need to make sure your new intake is nice and smooth but that you take a dremmel tool and cut away any of this excess if you see It! JRR

Well tonight I changed the three lights in the instrument panel with the LEDs. They have one bulb lighting up the Tach and Speedo and one each on the fuel guage and Charging guage. In the garage they do look brighter, but I will see how bright they really are in the daylight. But its raining here and tomorrow as well so hopefully friday it will not rain.
Now I am waiting for the Tail/stop and Turn signal lights and parking lights to arrive. Alleyoop

Tonight I ordered a pair of Mirror Extender Risers so my mirrors will extend out further to the side and a little higher as well. That will help to see more in back of me and not so much of my shoulders. Alleyoop

Hi Troops, Has anybody looked at my CVT picture on this page. Would it help to cool the inside of the CVT if I cut the half of the inlet that is blocked? Or would it cause some type of problem?
I got 3 feet each of good 3/16 and 1/4 hose and small screw type clamps. But I could not find any store that had 3/16 brass Tees. So I had to order the darn 3/16 tees, they were cheap and free shipping so I got 4 of them.
Jrryan, I put in just the three main instrument LEDs and at night they really are bright but no help during the daytime. The only ones that really show up are the Gas Gauge and Battery Gauge and thats because thats the only thing the bulb lights up. But the Speedo and Tach they share only one Bulb so they are not so BRIGHTLY LITE as they say:) I see there are Leds with 12 leds on one bulb and not inverted maybe those would be brighter.
Jrryan, Have you taken out the Plastic cover that protects the Speedo and Tach? And do you know How to pull them out, it looks like they come off from the front somehow. Alleyoop

Yes I have Alley, and the speedo and guage assembly comes out all in one piece and if I removed it I would for sure mark all the wires and such before I did take it out! Once removed you can get the front cover off.
You know by looking at this thing I do believe one could remove it and put it on a work bench and figure out how to add some more LED instrument light bulbs to make it brighter! After all the ones there just plug into a pre-cut hole and adding some would not be stressful to the electrical system as long as you used LED's!
Also if ya put it up on a test bench you could plug and play with a 12 volt battery and different bulbs untill you could say "Now that's what I want!" JRR

Hi Jrryan, I was thinking the same thing about adding more lighting for the Speedo and Tach. The other two are fine, but I do have to admit at night they are really nice and bright. Well today the tail/stop leds came in, and it was a piece of cake putting them in took me all of 5 minutes. My trike has a removeable tray in back to access the light assembley. MAN!!! What a difference in the size of the LEDS they are huge compared to the little bulbs that were in there. They are BRIGHT Jrryan, BOTH the Trun signals and the stop lights. Now they will be able to see my turn signals really clear. Thanks Bud, I haven't put in the two side lights yet but I will. I HAD TO PUT ON MY SHADES!!! Alleyoop

Jrryan, just installed the leds in the daylight running lights or whatever they are called. They are cool the leds give off a blueish light. So now I am all lite up with LEDS:) The only bulbs I haven't changed over to leds are the turnsignal which light up green and Lights on indicator which lights up blue, they are below the instrument panel.
The Trike is running awesome so I will not mess with changing the intake and velocity stack with uni filter and bigger main jet until the snow flys and I cannot ride it. Alleyoop

Yep I didn't fool with them either as they only come on when you have the signals on and if you do decide to do them they are the little T-5 bulbs. JRR

Jrryan, Last night I tried taking the plastic cover over the handlbars so I can install my Turn Signal Buzzer. Well unscrewed the 6 screws and thinking it just fits over the ignition module BUT NO!! there are two screws under the ignition module that you have to take out. So this morning I went to Harbor Freight and got a little 90% rachet screw driver to get in there and unscrew them. But places like that are like a Toy Store to me and walked out with a Hand Fuel/Oil Transfer pump since I have to fix my Gas Gauge Sensor in the Tank, a Digital Caliper, a gadget that you just run over a wire to check if it has juice, a box of assorted heat shrink and Duct tape. I wanted to buy more but I couldn't think of why I needed them:) That place is amazing!!
Oh I found a Lincoln/Mercury Brass Gas Float on ebay the right size 2" long and 1 /14 in diameter the guy wanted like $6.00 but when I went to enlarge the picture to get a good look at it got an error and would not enlarge the picture. So I emailed the guy telling him i needed to look at it enlarged to see if it would work, he came back and said Thank You For Finding the Bad Link and to give him my address and he is sending me one for Nothing for finding the bad link:) Alleyoop

Hi Troops, Well the mirror extenders/riser arrived today. But they do not fit):, The screw to hold the mirror is not big enough, also the hole to screw in the mirror onto the extender is not big enough. I will have to re-thread the threaded side so that the mirror screws in. The other side I have to go and get two bigger size screws to hold the extender onto the handlebar mirror holder. And here I thought just unscrew and screw them on(YEA RIGHT). Alleyoop

Hi Troops, OK, question: I have a signal buzzer/beeper that I want to put on. I always forget to turn off the turn signals until about a block after I turn them on.
I want to put the beeper inside the plastic handlbar cover. Can I connect the beeper wires TO the wires coming from the handlbar turn signal switch? Or do I have to connect then to the wires AFTER the Flasher Relay? ANYBODY KNOW? Thanks Alleyoop

Hi Troops, Today I installed the turn signal beeper, and it works great. It was a very simple install. The beeper has 2 red wires with diodes and one black ground wire. The red wires connect to the left side turn signal(orange or yelloish color) and to the right side turn signal(light blue color) and then find a nice ground for the black wire. I installed mine under my Handlebar cover. here is were I got the Universal Beeper: www.rvtoys.net/motormate_002.htmAlleyoop

Dwild62, ARE KIDDING!!! Wind chill is like -10 BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR and theres snow and ice out there. But I do crank it up and let it warm up in the garage. I am going to install the Gas Guage Sensor with the Brass Float I put together. The Cheap Thin Plastic Floats that are in there fill up with gas and sink to the bottom and register empty when its full. My brother-in law already ordered a new one and had it put in. But I decided to fine something that would work better and not keep replacing the whole unit. It also had a lot of play by the contact point so I also made the new wire connected it to the Brass Float and used a Brass Collar with a set screw to hold it nice and tight against the contact area. It does not wobble at all and moves up and down smoothly. Here is a picture of it. Alleyoop
