Already done, Odyssey AGM 14amp, had to build a custom battery box..lol
I did a lot of research before I bought this scooter. Like replacing the starter clutch gear and burping the damn radiator, about killed my back.

I haven't been able to get the LED turn signals on my hardbags to work yet. The brake lights work fine. Now that I've moved to my new place, I can work on little things like that. I'm glad you're having fun there Chris.

Good looking scoot you got there, reminds me of the Enterprise from Star Trek, your hard bags are the scooter's nacells..lol
I have been looking into hard bags because I wanna tour with my scoot. Where did you pick them up?

Hey CCProf, can you post some closer pics of your windscreen? I need a taller one and not sure if I wanna go custom or add that spoiler looking thing I saw earlier in this thread. I am 6'3" and really need the taller screen.

i could not agree more...in 2008...i was just about ready to buy a q-link...very similar in looks to this.....but when i actually saw the ms3-250 at the dealer///it was love at first sight... recently laid out 500 bucks to get mine refirbushed and up and running again after being seriously ill, new battery/ (and bigger box holder as well)....as noted in a earlier thread..my only concern is hyosung is getting out of the scooter business to concentrate on their mcs (except their electric scooters)..i just hope parts will be available down the line....
never fall in love with a scooter!

MRP is buying up every part in the USA and Hyosungsource.com is gathering them all up in Asia so we are good for several years. I am buying in bulk on certain parts that I know will wear out in the next 2-3 years.

TB - I got the hardbags from A1hardbags.com. They ran me about $125. The mounting brackets were for a regular mc and didn't work so I used 8" L brackets from Lowes. Sorry, this is the best pic I have of the windscreen.

TB I wish I could post a pic of the spoiler I put on mine that I posted about earlier in this forum. But I don't have a digital camera, and don't know if I want to spend $50+ on something I would probably only use once. I didn't really want to have to look through a screen, and the spoiler definitely directs the wind higher. I'm 5'11", don't know how much of a difference it would make if you're a few inches taller than me. I always wear a helmet now, didn't when I first started riding. But I don't get the bugs splattered all over my helmet shield now like I used to before I put the spoiler on.

That is the only reason I am holding out for something better. I am just unsure it will protect me cause I am 6'3" and have a real tall torso. I found that company that will custom make me a wind screen but I have to send them mine and it will cost upwards of $150 and prob look silly. This site; www.bikescreen.com. Here in Denver we don't have many bugs with the altitude but on the HWY it could be an issue and that is the only place I wear a helmet. No helmet looks good on me cause my supersized (4xl) head.

Hey T.B. Nice looking bike, when did you get this one, knew you were on the fence about to jump. LOL is this Merry Christmas for yourself rofl... Took a huge gamble, found it on Craigslist. The owner said the battery had fried and burnt most every important electrical part near the battery and was asking $600. I took a risk and bought it sight unseen for $300. Went to go pick it up and this is what I got. Luckily all the nuts and bolts were there.

At least one of each of the relays and fuses, they are hard to find. Thermo switch, oil pressure switch, brake pads maybe even rotors if you do a lot of stop and go traffic. from Hyosungsource.com get yourself a CVT belt, it is the cheapest I have found. The one thing I am still searching for is buying a clutch without the extra parts that come with it. The only site that has the whole assembly is Alphasports.com and they want $400+ for it. I would also get a thermostat and gasket to have on hand. MRP has the CVT cover gasket for $6 and I would get several since you have to inspect the belt, clutch and maybe change the rollers pretty often. if your starter clutch gear has not been replaced it will need it soon. The stock one is built weak and they now make a better one from Hyosungsource.com. The teeth break off and it will be hard to start.

Wow Chris, you've been busy! Hey - my sister lives in Denver. Does the altitude do anything to performance?

Not at all, in fact the guy who I bought it from lives at 9,000ft elevation. I feel the ECU compensates pretty well. I love fuel injection.

OK - I didn't make New Year's Day. I intended to but the the weather didn't cooperate. Yesterday was beautiful so I suited up and went for the first ride of the year. Jan. 7 - new record for me. I went and rode for about 1/2 hour. Also did burgers on the grill. I'm liking Adams County!

When you are done with your 'unusually mild winter' out east I would like our 'normally mild' winters in the Northwest back!!!!
