I agree it seems odd, but if there are so many complaints out there valid enough to shut of their merchant account, why have we not heard about them?? most of the comments on this forum are pretty positive, except for some communication issues, but they seem to be getting better at that, too. You don't see mxmotorsports getting their account shut off, and there are far more vociferous, negative reviews about them here... could it have something to do with the fact that MrScooters is so new?

Well don't get me wrong, they might have a valid reason, but I have never had this problem. Just because you don't see the negative posts here doesn't mean they haven't had a lot of charge backs. I don't know... it just smells fishy to me.
Don't you think they read this? Why wouldn't they answer it?

I've noticed they've added MCO notary service charge and expedited mailing service charge options to the purchase order form. Does this mean the MCO I receive won't be accepted when I take to the VA DMV?

It really doesn't take much if they are new to have their credit card processing suspended. There were allot of people complaining about communication, and they stated they called the credit card company and reversed the charges, one even after they recieved the scooter, simply because it didn't come fast enough for them. Therefore, they called the cc comapny and disputed it. This is a tough thing to call... I don't know what for sure is going on, as I don't work for them, and can't speak for them. All I can say is, I myself have had a most pleasant experience with them.. They communicated, albeit slowly, regularly, and was most kind to inform me of a potential problem with the model I ordered, and worked a great deal with me to make sure I was a satisfied customer, and shipped rather quickly... I got the color I wanted, and I got the B version... Can't ask for more...

Does this mean the MCO I receive won't be accepted when I take to the VA DMV? Hmm... Could be a problem, I dunno, Does VA require the MCO to be notarized? I know Ohio does not require it, and some states though state it is mandatory, many have had no problems with unnotarized MCO's... I think many people arent even sure what is required at the DMV.. They just work there... heheh.. JimK

Hey Jimk; Scooter really looks good. I really like my red. I now have 96 miles. I have had it up to 50 once. Still no luck with the gas gage that does not work. I don't know what to look for or where. Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm... strange... I think it could very well be a stuck float... Have you checked the sending unit? To get to it, you have to take the plastic panels off... The sending unit is actually in/on the tank.. YOu can remove the sending unit and float from the tank, but it's kind of a pain, with you being a novice, I would suggest getting a person with more mechanical experience to help.. It could be just a loose connection though, but you'll have to remove the panels to tell for sure..Here is a picture of a scooter without the panels, as taken by Fufu, it shows the tank, though this is a 244CC, the 257CC isn't much different on this, I marked where the sending unit is....hope this helps...

I do remember seeing this when I did the PDI. I did not think to check the gage at that time. I will wait awhile as I am just having fun. I keep gas at home. I just fill up after a couple of trip. Thanks!!

Dennis,There was a thread about the gas guage issue. One fix was to take a coat hanger and try to lift the float in the tank. A stuck float is common, I think. If you can find the float by feeling around and moving it up, it seemed to cure the problem for other folks. Other than that, make sure the wiring to from the float sensor in the tank is plugged in. Don't know if there is a fuse. Look for the thread. Try searching "fuel guage" or something.
On other matters -- I stand behind MRSCOOTERS.COM 100% Wish people who have not ordered would stop trying to make them sound bad. The easiest way to rip someone off is to take their MO and run. Many on this thread, including myself have had NO problems when it comes to our MO purchase. Communications are a different issue, but other than a few extra days delay, everything promised was delivered. I got the 250B in my 1st choice of color (blue) and also received courteous communications with MrScooter whenever I DID get thru to them. Why should they lie about their size you ask??? I myself would have had many more concerns if they guy told me it was just him and his wife(or friend... whatever) working drop ship out of an apartment. People feel comfortable thinking they are buying from Humungo's million square foot scooter emporium. LOTS of people exagerate their size and facilities. If that is the worst of the problems, then they are a godsend. The horror stories on OTHER sites and dealers is enough to send you screaming into the night. Have you read some of the return policies and warranty info on some other sites?.. good grief!! Some even have 800 numbers or answering services that make them sound professional. that's fine, but if you get the cold shoulder when calling about the status of your order placed WEEKS ago... . . I'll stop there. 'Nuff said. GOD SPEED, mike and the Mrscooters crew!!

The 244 tank is vertical, the 257 has a flat horizontal tank. If I remember right, the sending unit is on top.

Jerseyscooterguy:
There is a big difference between exagerating the size of your store and not having one. As for the tone of my post, I was not negative to the drop ship aspect of their business and was dissmissive of many of the other complaints. I said I would buy from them if they had a store!!!!

How much gear lube did you get out of it? I let it sit for quite a while and there wasn't much. It took about 4or 5 tries and then it started up. A little rough at first and then it smoooothed on out. ;D I just knew I was gonna get a red one so all the gear I got was red. Well, It'll all be good when I paint it.

got my docs too... Alreday got the title and tags... Woo Hooo took me 15 minutes at the BMV.. Insurance is paid and active, $177 a year, for OVERKILL full coverage... Never hurts to be over protective.. As for the Gear Oil, I know I'm gunna get yelled at, but I haven't done that yet, I should, but I want to break it in a bit first with the crap fluids, then change them to good fluids in about a hundred miles or so... In the meantime, I AM LEGAL!!! MrScooters is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!! JimK

When I read that, I went to the mailbox and guess what...ME TOO! I'll have to wait because I'm broke now. But next week I'll be at the DMV I hope the fact that it's not notarized won't be a problem. Thinking good thoughts. I won't be getting my license until after I take the safety course on the 23rd and 24th, so I have some time.

Hopefully Mrscooters will start advertising CARB approved scoots. Especially YY250T models.

I LOVE the black!!! Mine are being delivered tomorrow from 3-4pm from SAIA! They rock as freight shippers! Shipped out Friday morning and they were in Lincoln NE Saturday afternoon! The truck had to go to Omaha to the hub to be split out, and my 2 Capri-150's will be here tomorrow! Mr Scooters ROCKS!!! I will order more from him with no worries whatsoever!

It looks like Mr. Scooters has added Tank to their line of scoots. Tank is CARB approved but they don't list the CARB approval in their listings. Also they don't show the 250cc Touring Deluxe DE which is the YY250T model for Tank.
