Kaybee, the only recommendation I can offer is to just wart the devil out of them. I've collected every email address I can for every person and department I know of at ATVD and just cc all of them every chance I get. Out of about 15 addresses, that generally gets a response from one or two. Of course, thats when it gets entertaining... they don't coordinate their BS so, if two people respond, you'll get two different explanations as to why whatever hasn't shipped yet. Good luck and keep an eye out for smokey.

Thanks Les! With my first order the canned excuse was a "computer glitch" in the shipping department. I'm waiting to get that one again! LOL
Last week I decided to call them at around 4:45 central time. Their website says business hours are till 6pm central so I decided I'd try to wait out the hold time. At 5pm straight up the hold announcement changed to "we are sorry we missed your call". Aaaaaaaaagh!!!

Just got a call from Doug! My husband's SC-38 came in to them missing a front wheel so they offered to replace it with an SC-41. It still has the large wheels AND comes with a trunk and a music system.
Doug gave us a tracking number and said it would ship in the next day or two.

12 days, no MCO yet. I like the scooter, looking forward to riding it. Taking this time to do the full PDI from the best of forum. I found some loose nuts and kinked vacuum hose. Nothing too big, but I am glad I am going over it.

reperko, I'm up in Central Wisconsin. My bike was delivered a month ago Friday and still no MSO...just promises. I've been riding anyway. Our riding season is so short that I'm not going to let ATVD ruin it for me! Just for saying this I will probably get popped this afternoon.

Hi everyone. I'm brand new here, but I sure wish I'd found you before I ordered from ATVD! My first order went absolutely perfect! We ordered & had our scoot in 10 days. It took another week to get the MCO, but we were really happy with the service we received. Then we decided to get another one...(a pink one for me). It's been total hell. We ordered and paid on May 3rd. Yup...MAY! So far we've been told that 1. Eric was fired, so they'll have to look into it. 2. They got a new computer system & 300 orders were lost. 3. They HAD my pink Motobravo in, but in all the confusion it was sold to someone else but they'll be getting more in. 4. They now have a pink one in, but the power went down so he couldn't check the computer. (Eric was rehired, so now he can help us again). 5. They have the Motobravo 150 I want & will expedite shipping.
That was last Friday. No tracking number. No scooter.
American Express has taken the charge off of our card. It will only be put back on if ATVD sends them a signed (by us) proof of delivery confirmation. (Cuz I really, really want this pink one!)
We went with them because of price. The local business selling them is scalping people. Their prices start at $1995 for the smallest, cheapest 50cc's. Is it worth it? I'll let you know.
Thanks for letting me vent. I've been a lurker & have really enjoyed the site. I'm looking forward to posting pics as soon as I get my scoot! I have my pink helmet & pink goggles that I use when riding hubby's!

Oh cool! I really wanted a pink bike but......I've got 3 boys to pass my 50 down to when I upgrade so.....I got a pretty yellow one instead. I have a bubblegum pink motorcycle jacket though! I look just like a big Easter Egg flying down the road! LOL Gotta be different!
I hope you get your bike soon.

I notice they have a distributor in Fort Smith, AR. Its about two and a half hours from me, but if the PDI is done I will surely make the trip. Even without PDI if it saves significantly on shipping. (That is, if the MC-54-250 falls through.) Has anyone visited their warehouse/store?

I would definitely call before you make the trip to make sure the prices are the same. They will probably be higher to cover overhead and you'll have to tack on state sales tax up front. They may also have a minimal inventory.
We visited a local dealer who is also affiliated with an online dealer and the cost of the "in shop" bikes were a few hundred dollars more.
Good luck with your shopping!

I received an email today saying I should expect my certificate of origin next week. Hopefully "third time's a charm" and I'll get the correct paperwork this time... Monday will be nine weeks.

My MCO has the correct vin, but it lists it as a SUNL. When I looked up the vin, it showed as a Peace. I guess I will change my signature line.
I will post how it goes at the Wisconsin DMV.

Thanks for the advice Kaybee. I'll try to give them a call sometime today after I get off work. You mentioned paying tax up front; if I were to purchase from an online dealer, would I have to pay tax at the revenue office when I went to register it?

Hubby is going to call them today. If they haven't sent it, we are going to tell them to send whatever color they have. We can sell it locally for a couple of hundred more & people are thrilled.
There's a place in Spanish Fork, UT that sells them pretty cheap, $1000-$1200, and we are headed that way to visit our son over the 4th. I might just buy one there. We bought another one there & it was much, much easier.
ATVD is giving me an ulcer!

At least that is how the two states I have lived in, CA & WI operate.

Keep in mind that you won't be able to sell anything they send you until you receive the mso paperwork which could take FOREVER! I ordered my 50cc around the same time you did (first of May) and I did get the bike after about 3 weeks but here it is the end of June and still NO paperwork!

In Montana, we can get a 60 day sticker and start riding with the paperwork that comes with it. We just can't get plates without the MSO. I did have a little blue scoot that I ordered from them the first time around. We actually did sell it. I made up a bill of sale and then we signed the title over when the paperwork arrived. It went fine, but I see what you mean. I'm just praying that a pink scooter is delivered by the scooter fairy very soon!

Kaybee, I'd just keep calling them every 2 days about your paperwork. Believe me, if I ever get my scooter I'll be calling them 'till the MSO is in my hands!
P.S. Thought you could use a Scooby Snack!

A Scooby to you too my sister in PINK!
I got a voicemail from a Nathan. He was trying to mail my papers but USPS wouldn't take my address. We live on a state highway and I always give "W" for west on shipments but the postal service won't take the "W". I emailed him back with the correct addy and told him that I actually have 2 orders and would he correct our address in the system.
Now I don't know if he was processing the MSO for hubby's new bike that just shipped or the one I've been waiting 2 months for?

I was wondering.... does anyone have a list of emails for ATVD??? I'd love to slam them with emails to try to get some answers about my scooter!
Any help would be appreciated. And you can be sure that this is the LAST scooter I'll be ordering from them!

Done at the DMV in Wisconsin. Only 1.5 hours. I received my Motorcycle endorsement and registered the scooter. The registration looked a little grim until they asked me if I had seen the "Legal to drive in the US" sticker, then they had me check and initial the "Motorcycle/Moped manufactured for highway use and displays required Federal Cert..." on the second page of the MV1. I have put 30 miles on it today after that, so I am up to 50 and oil change number 2.

So are you saying that all you had to do was check a box "vouching" that the bike says "street legal"? I've got 130 miles on mine so far.....no red lights in the rear view yet.

That is right, they asked if I had seen the sticker on the scooter, if so check the box and initial.
Our second scooter from atvd is being delivered tomorrow. This one is a 49cc for my wife. I cannot wait to see how long the MCO on this one takes. It is being delivered much faster. I ordered it on the 19th of June.

This was the worse buying experience of my life. They don't return emails or phone calls consistently. Their shipping dept. lies about ship dates. More often than not they answer with a scripted letter. I ordered a 150cc Bali and ended up with a 50cc Sunl. It took over a month to get the darn thing on a truck. I had to investigate their corporate structure to find someone with enough nuts to find out the truth about their customer service and shipping procedures. This person gave me credit for the price difference and I kept the 50cc for my wife. Doug?! Soft spoken load. Knows more than he admits. I don't believe he's an employee of ATVD. I think he is a contracted salesman working on commission. He has called me back with caller ID showing a different company he really works for.

I know their financial transactions are listed under a name something like Frontier Motorsports. (Frontier something) I think ATVDiscounters is just their internet name.

I saw that too, Frontier Importer something. I tried looking them up, found very little info.
I agree the service is not good. Like I said before I had very, very low expectations and they were met. Actually slightly exceeded.
On this second scooter two nights ago someone named "Gareth" or something called my wife to tell her "Good news! Your scooter was on its way to Salt Lake City". This confused me since it was following our previous scooter's path toward Milwaukee according to the shipping company. Sure enough it is here in Milwaukee area and being delivered to our house today.
Of course it could actually be the wrong scooter. I wont know until this evening. Maybe our scooter is on its way to Salt Lake and ATVD sent me a crate of something else.
