Well guys: I have finally installed the Prodigy variator and 12 grm weights. About three miles into the test run the retainer nut, washer, and cup came off and got into the plastice pulley for the pull cord. It melted and welded the retainer cup to the pulley, killed the engine, and left me stranded. Fortunately, the wife didn't fuss too bad. Quite a site though ...her pulling me down the road with a tow strap. It rounded the center teeth on the variator fan so it was junk. I managed to dislodge the cup, washer, and nut from the pullcord pulley; and was able to reuse them. The teeth at the very tip of the crankshaft was boogered up; so I took a small pick knife, and a triangled shape file and was able to repair it. I went back with the OEM weights (10gr) and fan, and used the prodigy variator. (I had to go back to the OEM weigths 'cause the new 12g ones were pretty knarled up when they came out of the variator.) Took it for about an 8mile test run (after I wrenched down like a sumo wrestler on the retainer nut of course). I am getting about 7300rpms WOT. And, on about an 8% down hill grade for a distance of about a mile I tagged a solid 55. I am real pleased. Now, on to replacing the fuel and vaccum lines.

And, I have lost the left rear blinker lense cover and the tailight lense cover. The tailight lense cover cracked. It held both the left and the right lense covers in place. When the tailight lense cover cracked the left blinker lense cover came off completely. Does any one have suggestions as to where to find just the lens covers without buying the whole assembly? I called Roketta and they can't give me an answer til next week....

Aileronjack. Its SPAM some childish idiot logs on as a guest and posts this stuff. I have emailed the MODS to NOT allow Guests to POST only to look. I would advice everyone to email the MODS (Earlwb,Aaron,Medman1952) if anyone knows any more mods email them as well. All they have to do is look for a goofy signon as guest and they will find Spam, pages and pages of it. Alleyoop

They are spam-bots. The mods over ar the MRA web site had to remove 86 of them today. I believe they originate in China. A lot of them advertise fake Viagra.

The doctor put Wolf on half a Viagra a day last summer to cure his shoe rot. Now he doesn't piss on the end of his shoe anymore.

I haven't put up a post in quite sometime. Al helped me through my fuel mixture problem. It's still a little finicky, but I think I have narrowed it down to a faulty enricher/autochoke. Other moderate accomplishments include fixing the fuel gauge (remember the state trooper story?), changing the oil, and installing a replacement reverse cable. Today I installed the 12gram weights I have had. I must say it is a nice change. Subtle as it is, I can tell that the top end is definitely a solid 55 mph now. It just takes it forever to get to it. (at least a half a mile on a flat stretch) I still haven't solved the problem of carrying a wheelchair. Unless my wife comes a long with me in another vehicle to bring my chair, I have to make a round trip and never get off the bike; and that defeats the purpose of having a scooter. It's a utility vehicle and by nature you take the scooter to make those short runs to the grocery, postoffice, or the bank. JrRyan suggested I post this link as it might be a solution to my dilemma. I could use your comments and suggestions. I didn't see aprice anywhere. If anyone knows, by all means post it's location or something. www.usawholesalescooters.com/carrypack.htmJ

Aileronjack, I have the solution to carry your wheelchair:) I sent you a Video of a Trike Wheelchair Carrier. I emailed them but nobody responded, they may be out of business.
But here is what I will do for you my friend. I have already talked to my Hot Rod Welder about it and he also veiwed the Video. He said he could build one like the one in the Video, would that one be something you would be instrested in?
Now just about all the Trikes have the same Frame configuration due to the way they bolt the the Axles on. The Wheelchair carrier would be attached to the frame under your seat so it will stay stationary. I would have him make it removal so you could put it on another trike if you went with something else.
Do you like the one that is in the Video? Would that solve your problem? Would you be able to put the Wheelchair in the carrier and take it out when you needed it? Alleyoop

That would be an incredible show of kindness! No question, I believe that I would be able to load it on the carrier.
Let's chat about it's portability to another bike further.... I'll give you a buzz

Aileronjack. Not a problem my friend, and yes we can chat about the portability actually two means of portability. 1.) Ability to take just the Carrier Off in case you have a rider with you. 2.) Ability to take the Mount off the Frame as well to be able to mount it onto another. Alleyoop

LOLOLOLOLLLOLOL It ain't funny really though The first time was only a few tenths of a mile, today I drove the bike 3 miles with the parking brake on again. It gave up the rear brake temporarily. I guess at 48 yrs old I, obviously, have a bad case of CRS. I took it down to an auto restoration outfit that belongs to a buddy of mine in the RC club. I had asked him to take a look at the muffler as it has been unusually loud as of late. I figured it had lost a couple of the rivets or something, and he could perhaps weld the seam and the holes to quiten it down to normal. The whole baffle and muffler tip is gone! I have been running a straight pipe for weeks. lololololololol "Getchya motor runnin", "Head out on the highway", "Looking for adventure", "In whatever comes our way"...... "Booorn to be WiiiiiIiiiiiiIiiiild". Well, the rear brake came back and seems normal for now. I took it back out and it appears there is a solid catch when I grab the left caliper. I hope that it stays good. I can't figure why the Chinos can't put out better quality. It just doesn't make sense. I supppose that we don't demand more from them so they keep sending what we accept.
