I LOVE the look of the Pegasus. I wish I could find a dealer near me. If I don't locate one by next spring, I'll just have to get one from CBXMan. I'll just have to paint it green. How would you like to have one shipped by QLINK themselves? And left over 2008's for less than the local store! Check this out: store.qlinkmotor.com/product/part_number=2008PG150/1658.0.0.0.0.0.0

OK Almost 2 weeks. And 225+ miles and my car has not moved since I brought it home. 2 items that could be better but thanks to this forum its things I can live with. 1 - Trunk rattle - keep forgetting to get that weather stripping. 2 - fuel guage. The way I see it I should be able to get atleast 100 miles on a tank, so I plan on gassing up when the odometer ends in 00. (200, 300 500 etc.) And here is your picture.

I am planning to take my top case off first thing when my Pegasus arrives. I think most scooters look much better without it, and it certainly doesn't improve the weight distribution. The things it can hold can easily fit into a duffle bag slung over my shoulder, or hung on any hook I can find.

Just stopped by at my local dealer to see whether my scooter had arrived. He was out for a test ride, and after a few minutes arrived - on my silver Pegasus. First thing he said was "this thing runs sweet!, I think I'll buy another one of these"!. I will have my wife drop me off at the shop later and bring my Peg home...

Alsenor, Congratulations on your purchase. Just be careful bringing it out of the chute there. I actually also use a backpack when I have to drive between worksites and carry my work papers with me.

Moving in and out between our cars actually proved less of a problem than I thought it would, due to the excellently balanced center stand. Took her for a little neighborhood spin tonight (just to see how the lights work!), and enjoyed the fresh air around my nose (I opted for a half helmet!). Looking forward to my roll to the club tomorrow.

I issue that I have with my Pegasus is the tires. The front is 100/80-16 and the rear is 110/80-16. Trying to get a matched is just about impossible, unless you want the OEM version. If anyone has ever replaced their Pegasus tires, please let me know what you used.

Thanks for the info on the trunk replacements. 1 thing that I did notice, and thought it strange. Is if I keep it locked all the time, that the rattle is barely there, not really noticiable. I am working the weather strippping idea, its just I can find a color that I like that blends well, maybe I am being too picky.
I can not see the pics from work, but when I get home I plan on checking our your pics.

Ok, as much as I like this little scooter, I want to be fair and mention a couple of things I do not appreciate. The first is the seat bench. It is slightly slanted forward, with a small rise behind the rider's seat, which always makes me feel pushed forward. If there was an upgrade available I would consider spending the money on a seat with better support. The second thing is the turn signal switch, which I have trouble clicking off clearly (whenever I do remember to do it!). It is easily pushed too far and turns on the opposite blinker.

Is your peg carb or EFI? I finally checked out the Qlink web. The price seems to be for a carb peg, in either case Qlink is clearing house. I dont blame them. 2008 was a great year for scooter purchases and when the inventory ran out, we all hussled to get more in. But the manufacturers were not prepared for the explosion of sales. This year they were ahead of the game, but sales declined dramatically due to the economy. Gas really hasnt gone up and we are stuck with the 2008's that finally came in last Sept plus the 2009 that we ordered after that. From a dealers point of view, now is the time to buy a scooter, cause ya never know whats going to happen next year and scooters are selling at near cost just to clear the inventory lists.

The 08 Pegs weren't offered in an EFI version, otherwise I would have bought it.

The tires can be had from CF Moto for 62.00 each. or MRP for 68.00 each. Wecould get them for you and send them.

I see that Portland Oregon is the closest for a CF MOTO dealer. As long as your bike starts with LCE, any CF Moto dealer or Qlink can send you parts. Let me know if I can be of help. Kathi@ Scooters Only.

We use a MATCO around here to adjust the seats. He takes off the leather(ette) and shaves the seat to what is needed for the customer if they are shorter then 5'7. Then replaces the cover. You need to see an upholstry dealer. I had this talk about the seat with the Chinese owners in June. They were asking us how they could improve the charm and other scoots. That was one of the points we brought out. Also we asked about making a 50cc, it would cost too much to make and send to USA.

Alsenor Sire (and your mythical steed) - just push the turn signal button straight in & that will cancel the turn signal. I used to think the same thing when I first had my Peg until I figured that one out.

I'm glad you like your scoot. I think you will be happy for years to come. Allot more scoot than that 50cc you almost bought. Have fun!

Thanks, army1777! It was my heart making the decision and not my brain. BTW, I noticed that the echarm by CFMoto shows 10.8 horses at 7500 revvs, and mine claims 12 hp. So are the engines by different makers?

howdy, i didn't see this suggestion about trunk rattling, but i found a flat wide bungee that could go over the top of the box and hook below. that should eliminate the rattle with the only inconvenience being moving it to open the trunk. lotsa miles and smiles to ya

Is there anyone who would like to comment on how the Pegasus is holding up after a couple years of use?

I have had mine for almost 2.5 years. It was a nightmare until the engine was replaced, now it's a dream. There were problems with overheating in the 06 and some 07s. Later 07s and on don't seem to have this problem. The fit and finish, and 'tightness' have held up. It still looks good, being garaged, it still looks new. No fading, oxidation...... The parking brake was broken from day one. Having no need for it I have not had it repaired. Otherwise everything is great. I love my Peg, which is preferable to our former love/hate relationship.

Alsenor, congratulations on your new scooter. I hope you enjoy it for many miles. Everyone: As far as trunk rattles, I've had my share. My trunk is big and roomy, but very cheaply made. It flies open by itself when I hit bumps. I haven't solved that yet, but I did solve the rattles. I took a length of 1/4" clear plastic tubing (from the plumbing section of the hardware store) and shoved it down into the channels of both halves of the trunk. It worked very well, and now the trunk lid fits nice and tight, doesn't leak water, and no more rattles. Now I've got to solve the flying open issue. Any pointers?
