I am going to buy a 250cc scooter for my son. powersportsmax.com anyone purchased from them? Yes I have. I bought the Roketa MC-54. $1,950 to the door. I received the scoot in one week from ordering. I received my MSO one week after requesting. The scoot arrived undamaged. I don't know about support for this company but everything else went smooth for me.

I ordered my roketa bali 150cc from there. i have been happy with my purchase from there. i only had 1 problem from there . the sealant they used was garbage on the gas tank float wire outlet. it was leaking but J.B. weld fixed it up in a hurry and hasn't leaked since.
My experience was pretty much same as first scoot above. they stick to their word on delivery and MSO times. they are reliable in my book.
I highly recommend changing the fuel lines with some good american ones. also, change all fluids before use.

I'm thinking about doing that soon. I did find some screws and bolts that needed to be snugged but otherwise the scoot was fine. Good luck with your new scoot!!

I ordered my Roketta MC-D60 from them. Timely delivery of bike-No shipping damage-timely delivery of MSO I did replace the battery and spark plug after some starting issues. Nothing negative to report outside of little things you would get with any online order.
Good luck scroogetrades

Ordered from Powersportsmax.com. (MC-D13B BALI 150cc Moped Scooter is what I got) I took almost 3 weeks to get here. No return phone calls from them where my order was. Once it came it was a great looking bike. The trunk had damage to it. Called Powersportsmax. No return phone call so I put a ticket in and still 4 weeks later still nothing. But thats a easy fix. The gas gauge always says full. But I found the fix on this form to take care of it. Also I paid the extra $49 for express shipping. Do not pay it. I now have over 70 miles on it and have loved every min of it. I'm a big guy 250+ and can reach speeds of over 50+ still in break-in mode so I really havent opened her up yet. My GF and I took it for a ride around the lake and reached over 50+ also. Not short on power thats for sure. Even though I didn't get the color I wanted or the model that I ordered I'm very happy with the performance. I plan on buying another one but not going with powersportsmax.com Had no problems getting tags for it or insurance. Thanks all this is a great site..

If you didn't pay the $49 it probably would have taken a lot longer than 3 weeks to get it Some of us have been waiting for our scoots for well over a month at this point. Yours looks pretty sharp.

I ordered the new MC-54B with the Yamaha Linhai engine from Power Sports Max and was sent the old D54 with the Honda clone engine. I've never been lied too so much in my life. There web site shows pictures of the new D54 with the different engine casing and the different muffler as well as a larger 20" wind shield as described in there site also a 3.4 gal. gas tank. I got none of these and the gas tank only holds 1.5 gal. I have to stop every 80 to 85 miles to fill up. When I call they say 1.5 is correct but when I remind them of the description on there web site as well as the Roketa web site, it still took them 20 minutes to run out of answers before saying that the 1.5 gal tank could be wrong. They offered $50 instead of sending the correct tank. Just amazing, According to them the "B" only means "MP3 Player". The old D54 with the Honda clone engine came with a AM/FM Cassette tape player, the new 54 comes with a MP3 player, therefore the new MC-D54B is the old D54 with the Honda clone engine and a MP3 player. My cost was higher than the old D54 but was not offered type of refund. The pictures on there web site is not what you get. My new bike is in the shop now with a bad electric problem. Both hand brakes must be pressed before any gages or brake light or turn singles come on. After several weeks of calling, today they offered to refund my purchase price only if returned in the original undamaged (good luck on that) packaging and my cost for return shipping is $1055. When they don't make mistakes, I guess everything is OK but if you stand up and try and hold them accountable for major problems then it's too bad for you or me in this case. My advice is "Stay Away from PowerSportsMax". If we can get this electrical problem fixed I'm selling this bike on craig's list or something and getting a real MC-D54B from .......where..? Any Ideas anyone..?

Barry, I've added you to my victims list in my posting here: scootdawg.proboards59.com/index.cgi?board=200cc&action=display&thread=10046It's NOT just you that this is happening/has happened to! Get on your dealers case about contacting the supplier and find out what the heck is going on. Personally, I think their latest shipment is mislabeled (on purpose, perhaps?) and they have no clue unless the dealers get on their case about it, because contacting Roketa directly gets you nowhere.

I bought a 2008 Bali 250 MC-13 on the first of June. I am in Florida and got it in one week from Calif. No damage and even metal crate was in good condion. I did have problems with it starting and found it had a bad carb. I called them and got someone immediately and they shipped out a new carb, no questions asked and got it in a week. First I spen an hour on the phone with their tech trying to isolate the problem. He was very helpful and I did get it running with the old carb but will not idle well so the carb swap out fixed the problem. Roketa has lousey documentation and no instructions on how to adjust anything I.E. radio/mp2 player, headlights etc. Also the manual shows a older model and the gear oil fill in not in location shown. I had good experience with Powersports max. I am sure that there are problems with all the online dealers at sometime. Sounds like it is a toss of the dice if you win or not. If I was to do it again, I would go local and pay a little more.

The prices on this site look good but the ratings at BBB are not very good. Google has them a 3.5 of 5 stars.

We bought 12 scooters from them and they got here fast. They started out not too bad then everything went to crap. Still waiting for a bent wheel from over three (3) years ago.. When I tried to get ahold of them they said it was shipped and refused to send me the rim.. We had to buy a new rim for the scooter so it could be sold. If I would of only had that scooter I would of never had been able to ride it if I would of waited for them to send me my rim..
I would never deal with them again.

I ordered a scooter from them on the 21st, it is now the 29th, and they have yet to ship it. I have called them on the 27th, asking what was taking so long; no real explanation for the delay but I was reassured that my scooter would be shipped on the 28th. I will update when (if) I receive my shipment.
Update: scooter was shipped on the 30th. Scheduled delivery is July 8th. So far I would not recommend ordering from this site.

I just purchased my fist 250cc scooter from powersportsmax (PSM), and I have to admit that I did this solely on price. I also did not know about this forum before I ordered. The scooter arrived in one piece and all of the pieces have been there. However they sent the wrong delivery address and phone number to the shipping company, when I contacted the shipping company to see why it was taking so long to be delivered I found out that PSM had sent them the wrong information and I was able to schedule my delivery. A couple of days later after I had done a full inspection and changed all the fluids I put in for my MSO paperwork; I am not sure what he hold up was, but it too almost two weeks for the paperwork to arrive here. As for support the only thing that is wrong with the scooter is that the trip odometer does not work. The speedometer works fine as well as the odometer. My guess is that the gauge will need to be replaced. I am waiting to see how they handle this. The one thing that I don’t like about their service is that they do not email answers back, they call during the day and sometimes I cannot answer the phone while at work. So far the jury is on weather I would recommend or not recommend using this company. I will keep you posted.

bms yanked there scoots out of scooter depot.
superior only sells 2 brands,,,,,,, znen and bms ...................wise men know why.
superior is sometimes a bunch off knockle heads, but they live in this world, the owner does not even look like he would go near a bike.
but they will send your bike to a local shop to make you happy if it takes that.
my papers where in my bag of extra lights, stuffed in my discounted ff helmet.
for me this country has lost its civility and protective space to grow and thrive.
no wonder we can no longer compete, we are to busy morphing into barbarians to protect ourselves from each other.

That is why we stopped buying stuff from Roketa, well one of the reasons. When you order from them you never know what you are going to get. Even when I used to buy containers from them they would screw up the orders. Reason is they buy from Jonway and many other manufacturers and sometimes they get the same bike made by 2 different factories and each factory uses different parts etc... Opportunities for screw ups multiply. To avoid those issues we went factory direct to only 2 factories for all our scooters so we know exactly what we are going to get.

I purchased a black 150cc MC-D23K scooter from then on October 28th. I paid with shipping, around $950. It took two weeks, but the delivery finally came. (CA to TN) R&L was a great company, and delivered it around the time I expected to get it.
After I got it, I looked for scrathes or damage, and nothing really stood out. Next I opened up the instructions and put it together. Screwed the mirrors on, and put the electrolyte into the battery myself, then put the battery into the scooter. There were three cords, so black to negative, and two red cables to the positive terminal. The hardest part was trying to push the floor mat stubs into the holes so it would be fastened down. Really hard to do.
After all that was done, next I put some 93 Octane Gas @ 3.42 a gallon into it, and changed the oil to the recomended 15W-40. It rode nice, but whenever I tried to stop, the engine would cut out, and it took me forever to find out it was related to an "idle-screw", which is a screw on the carberator you turn to adjust idle speed. After seaching for it for like an hour, I found it. After tightening it a little, I took it for a spin, and the engine stopped cutting out. I've only got around 5 miles on it while I wait for my MSO to come in the mail so I can register it to actually go on a road.
If your willing to do some research and fix some stuff yourself, then it was a really good deal in my book. $950 plus an oil change for 3.50 and the first fill-up of premium unleaded at 3.42 a gallon. So far it runs really nicely, but I'll update with how it still runs after the first 200 miles or so.
All in all 4.3/5, a good rating in my opinion.

Well, it has taken almost a month, but everything is finished. I finally got my MSO and bill of sale in the mail two days ago, took it to the closest county clerk's office, and that day I paid the fees and got my license plate. (The title will take another 10 days to get) and through Geico I got insurance for about $9 a month. The engine runs well, I have about a 1 gallon tank, and finally figured out how to adjust the mirrors so that I can see out of them.
It took a long time, but in the end, Powersportsmax came through. A nice Chinese scooter with some adjustments that had to be made myself, and all the parts and pieces work. The steel frame the scooter came in has been turned into a make-shift work-table in the basement, hehe.
Good buy. But there were so many angry stories about them, I'm hesitant to buy from them again. All I know is they came through once, beautifully. Whether or not that happens again, remains to be seen.
4.5/5

No, they're different companies. I must say though, my decision was based on three things : price, my own technical knowledge, and actually speaking to an English speaking human. Though I suppose buying a scratch&dent might not have been the smartest thing, but I was feeling kinda brave.... Here's what I ordered www.powersportsmax.com/images/clearance/MC-K24-R80/550.jpg

So only one business day after ordering, PSM has emailed me saying my scoot has been moved to shipping and will be shipped by the end of the day. So far, excellent communication. Very professional. The even sent me some new pics of my scoot to verify that I still want it because it has minor scratches and is a scratch/dent. So far. So good.

And now it begins. Got a call from the shipper to go look at my bike, as it became Spontaneously damaged. Apparently, spontaneous means " tried to lift it with a forklift." Both side skirt panels are snapped off, battery box is M.I.A , battery has giant hole in it, electrolyte all over the damned thing ( and all over me!), right mirror smashed to shiz.
Worst part is shipper blames Powersportsmax, Powesportsmax blames shipper, and I'm left fabricating a battery box and zippytie-ing panels on an unused scoot. Plus, I'm out 60 large for a battery, and my favorite jacket has big acid holes in it.
So no, do not by from these jerks. You'll get busted shiz, and it won't be anyone's fault that they broke your bike.
Listen to Terra Nuvo and buy only from a reputable company. Sure it appears to be more expensive, but it would have been less money and hastle to order from a good company, (since I must now spend 300 on fixing their damages) and I'd still have my favorite jacket.
As Hr Horse said: " No sir, I don't like it."

I hope you bought with your credit card. If you did, you automatically have buyer protection with most cards. I'd file a claim through them immediately. Then you need to find out the shipper's insurance company and give them a call.

Luckily, I have the ability and resources to fix my new Baccio. But in hindsight, it was certainly a better option to order from someone like Greg of Mainely Scooters.
I did make a spiffy battery box, and screw/ziptie the panels back together, and the bike is running fine (though that is only after a paranoid disassembly and mega-super-thorough inspection, and replacement of ALL fluids, even the brake fluid.) So after, it's an okay bike.
BUT, if you are not a mechanic who happens to be friends with a plastic molding company, your potential for getting screwed would be astronomical. In fact, I most certainly declare myself screwed by Powersportsmax. If I was a regular kid who just saved up his pennies to buy a phat new scoot, I'd have been on the verge of tears seeing my bike arrive in this condition.
Cannot recommend. At the shipper, I got to see the asinine shipping crate that Powersportsmax used to ship a fragile scooter. I put the responsibility about 80% Powersportsmax and 20% The Shipper.
In today's development, the Shipper has said they will be letting me keep the bike and refunding the full price of the bike. Unfortunately, this process could take in excess of a year!
But guess I can't bitch about a free scooter...
Still though STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! POWERSPORTSMAX IS UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

i bought a 150 cc scooter from them several years ago and all went well. what i mostly hear is complaining about the speed of shipping and other minor things. i didnt care if it took a month since i didnt expect any less only issue was i didnt get a radio or the big storage box thing that was in the pic but ehh who cares. true i needed to tune the bike to run properly but if your mechanical its no biggie. overall a decent experience with them. you could if you want see my original posts about the scooter. ran great though and loved it. too bad i moved and gave it to my nephew... im thinking of buying a 250cc from them i like the touring models and a 4 wheeler for my daughter. thats why im back on the forum. peace!

My bike arrived at the terminal laying on it's side, inside the crate! It didn't even come in a shipping crate for bikes or with any plastic on it or even paper! The "crate" it came in was four pallets nailed together stuffed with crumpled cardboard boxes.
My bike had the battery box missing, the battery hanging out of the hole where a battery box usually is, still attached to the terminals and wires, with a huge hole in the battery (1"x3"!) and electrolyte all over the bike.
That's not cool.
