Thanks! I LOVE how they match! They look so good in my parking spot! I had a hard time deciding on color, I made Chris at Ooty's Scooters line 3 Milans out in the parking lot in the sun so I could decide. Maybe 15 mins later I finally did!

Congratulations- she`s gorgeous. Looks like a modern Vespa- guess it`s a Chespa... You`re going to love the Lance quality. I just bought a Lance Charming and when you park it next to a Kymco scooter that costs twice as much, the Lance looks way better. I`m blown away by the quality and workmanship that Lance has. Local people on $2600 scooters cannot believe it when I tell them I paid $1,000 with free shipping. Have fun and ride carefully!

That is one beautiful scooter and I feel like you are going to love it. You should have posted a picture of the rider (and maybe even the boyfriend) and all would have been perfect. Joe

I'll post more photos eventually, I promise! I'll have to convince my boyfriend to take one with me on the scoot. I doubt he'd want me to post a picture of him on the forum though!

congrats, im so jealous of you, love it, im getting one june 1st., but im having the same problem as you, i cant decide which color, im between champagne and black, and im leaning towards black,
and also, its hard to get a feel for how big these things are, it looks a little bigger than a vespa lx 150, would that be accurate to say? maybe closer to the size of a vespa gt?
hope you're enjoying the hell out of this thing
take care

I haven't ridden the Vespa LX 150 or the GT but just from looking at them in person I think my Milan is closer in size to the GT. I was surprised when I first sat on the Milan - it was bigger than I expected. The seat is pretty high - I'm 5'6" and I cannot flatfoot - but the balls of my feet touch just enough. Be sure to read Aaron's review to Flyscooter's La Vie - while not exactly the same, it will give you an idea as far as size goes. Aaron says he can "only just exactly flat foot" on it. scootdawg.proboards59.com/index.cgi?board=review&action=display&thread=1201417799&page=2#1206484227Let me know if you have any more questions! If you want I can measure my scoot and see just how off the scootersfactory specs are!

hey thanks for the info, im about 5-8, so maybe id be able to stand flat foot, that would be ideal, guess well see though, dont bother measuring it, it definitely is a bit bigger than i would like it to be, but im not getting anything else at this point. ( i really want a vespa but cant afford it at this point as im a college student), but this will hold me over until that day.

robvious,
I am very excited for you! I've had so much fun in the last week on my scooter! I actually took it up to 58MPH today but it was SUPER windy so I didn't want to go any faster (plus I was on a 50MPH road).
No changes or mods before I started riding. I got it from a dealer which included a PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection). He pretty much did everything I would have done before riding it. He adjusted the brakes, tire inflation, carb, idle speed, replaced the engine and transmission oil, filled the battery, and checked the electrical. The dealer actually test rode it around the parking lot as well to make sure it was all good.
burghd, I parked next to a Vespa GT yesterday in my local parking garage. The GT is what my scooter wishes it was! If I had the money I'd definitely get the GT. Very similar styling - it is just all metal instead of plastic! But hey mine came with a free truck =)
But yeah the sizes were pretty close. They look alike - mines just the cheaper version of it!

More pictures as promised. Here I am doing a silly pose for the camera: Here I'm riding less than 5 MPH: Me before getting helmet hair: I really am having so much fun with my new scooter. My boyfriend thinks I'm crazy. I think he's just jealous of the new love in my life. ;D He was nice enough to take these photos of me though!

I like the scooter, it sorta has the look of a Lambretta, if Lambretta was still in business today. Excellent pics.

Well I have to say, it's almost as pretty as you are, congrats! Now before you get too confident riding, may I suggest some practice riding and an MSF course? You wouldn't want to damage that pretty scoot or face!
Find an empty parking lot and practice emergency stopping, it can save your life. Also, I like to tell new riders to practice slow drag racing with their new scooters. The idea is to go from point A to point B in the least amount of time without touching the ground with your feet. It's a good way to learn balance and handling.
Oh, and try to remember, when making turns, no brakes or throttle until you really become proficient at riding... just take it slow!
And finally, scoots like to run away from home a lot when they're stored outside, so a cheap wheel or disc brake lock will deter them some... remember to always lock the steering column!
She really is a beauty, and I love all the chrome! Be careful and have fun!

Rich is right. Want you to have a lot of lasting fun with that new beauty. Practice, wear your gear and consider a safety course. Tom

Thanks everyone!
Rich- thanks for the tips. I am considering taking an MSF course but they don't let you ride on your own bike and they don't offer scooters. I know the knowledge is good for scooterists as well as motorcycles but it seems stupid to me that they won't teach you on your own bike. I'm paying $150! I am going to be riding a scooter so why shouldn't I learn on one?
I feel pretty comfortable riding around town. I know not to brake while turning. I do accelerate out of turns though. I was always on dirt bikes when I was younger so I guess I'm already familiar with balancing and such. It's nice not having to worry about a clutch or shifting gears!
I probably should practice emergency stopping. I'll need to find a large enough and empty enough place!
I am still trying to decide what other security measures I want to take. I bought a bike lock to lock the back wheel to a pole where I park my scooter but its a pain and it probably it easy to cut anyways. A disc break lock sounds good but I don't think a thief would see it until after they stole it! Its a pretty heavy scooter probably almost 400 lbs loaded so there would need to be at least a couple guys if they wanted to steal it. I was thinking about getting a two way aftermarket alarm. I park it on my campus at school and I worry about people messing with it when no ones around. I haven't decided what I'll do yet!

Yeah, the course here is the same way. You must use a small, manual shift motorcycle. I agree, it sounds like the same argument many years ago about learning to drive a stick shift car when automatics were outnumbered by stick shift. For younger folks, that was when the earth was still cooling! (LOL)

jenny: Get a good motorcycle cable lock to use with your disc lock. An alarm is preferred by some but when used alone it will not keep a couple of guys from picking up your scoot and hauling it into their pick up either. There is also an issue with battery drain with an alarm if you use it for long periods. Take the MSF couse even if on another bike. My wife and I are taking the Motorcycle Ohio course here in Ohio (like the MSF course) and we appealed and got an OK to use our scoots. Does CA have a state program like that you could try? Tom
