Just got this, 1988 Honda Elite SA50, the 18th of June 2012. My first scooter! Only rode it once before i found out it was missing the air cleaner element, so until i get that and a rear tire, next week, it's sitting.  Still havin' fun messin around with it though! ;D Nice scoots ALL... UPDATE July 18, 2012: Personalized it,  got it ship shape and now riding every day and havin' a ball!!! |

I'd like to see more about that custom 54B fairing. How did you do it? You can see that I got rid of the stock turn signal lamps on the side of my 54B using fiberglass and epoxy resin.
I've often thought about enlarging the fairing for hand shielding. I almost froze my fingers solid last October in the highway while wearing 2 pairs of thinsulate gloves. Although on days like today with 100+ F, I enjoy a little wind on my hands.

2012 IceBear Viking Brand new and just out of the crate. Arrived Monday at 7AM and I have been assembling and preping it ever since. 98% complete and I have been riding it around the parking lot. Has 1.3 miles on it. Attachments:

I just procured this 2011 SL250-22 for 2 grand. It in pristeen condition with less than 400 miles on it. I've been told they retail about $2499-...does this seem about fair price for this scooter? Attachments:

brikahrdt, that seems like a reasonable price. For a used 2011, I am not going to say it is an awesome price but for a year old 250 with 400 miles it seems reasonable assuming that the previous owner did the break-in and initial prep correctly.
That is the thing. You don't know for sure how it was handled in the first 400. If you know, for sure, it has not had problems to this point, then your probably ok. Remember, we all take a risk when we buy these things. Even new.
Make sure, you prep it as if it were brand new. Don't just get out and start riding.

Nice bikes, sanmar. Im trying to get my girl into riding.. She rode with me on my Vento 82, but she wont get on my Falcon 150. She cant lean through the curves. |

Thanks! We really enjoy riding together. I think the key is we both have our own! In fact she got hers first. Then after seeing how fun this was I got mine. We have been having a blast ever since!

Here's mine...2011 Tao tao 6B engine...came with rejetted carb and no front fender and a 1/2 broken muffler...new fender, and muffler repaired...I'm happy...my first scoot since my old riding pedal start mopeds when I was 13 or 14...(34 now lol)   |
