Brand new 2009 Aprilia Scarabeo 200. Found it in June at a place in Maryland listed well below MSRP, even after shipping to my work in New Orleans. Very happy with it so far. Attachments:

My beat up little QJ scooter, somehow it's managed to last almost 10 years now, even after being abused and then forgotten for a long time.

My first attempt at a post and a pic. I've been active on Modern Vespa and will still use them for technical help which is fantastic over there and there are lots of active, friendly members. But lets just say that some of the more senior and active members on their have a huge slant towards wanting discussions involving Vespa label owners only with regards to many of the posts, and their annoyance with the Piaggio, Aprilla, and other non-Vespa label riders seem quite obvious when a Piaggio owner, for instance, chimes in . There is also a weakness in the forum itself where there are no subcategories by scooter size, brand, etc., which lends itself to creating the tension mentioned above that could be reorganized to make it a really good forum for all Piaggio Group owners, however, they don't allow criticisms or suggestions about the forum. Teddy I really like the motocross style handlebars on yours! What did you use to mount them? Hard to see with that picture how you did it. Also does it bother you not having any gauges? Id like to have a fuel gauge and a tach at least and could use my phone for speed. Hmmmm.... Maybe a little aftermarket dial tach and some type of small fuel gauge mounted to the bars or front somehow.

My first scooter: 2011 Italika WS150 (powered by GY6 long case and manufactured by Loncin). Her name is Ilse. Italika has a bad reputation here in Mexico, mostly because the company markets its wares as Hecho en México and Mexicans automatically assume that anything made here is of the worst possible quality. I don't know about that, but I put Pirelli SL 26 tires in place of the stock knobbies and rode northeast to Parker, Arizona back in February, mostly on back roads. That's 400 kilometers each way in the course of a weekend (I had to hurry home to Tecate on Sunday the 5th to watch the Super Bowl). That included a very steep climb on I-8 from Ocotillo to Campo on the return trip. I had three days' worth of US liability insurance, AAA with motorcycle add-on (100 miles free "towing"), Cruztools metric kit, spare belt, Haynes repair manual, and a first aid kit. The scoot gave me no problems at all and made the return ascent effortlessly. Indeed, it's given me no problems at all since purchasing it brand new in March 2011. I intend to make the usual performance modifications soon because, even though she'll do 55, most automobile drivers exceed that considerably, and pulling to the side of the road to allow motorists to drive past gets old very quickly. I need to be able to cruise along at 65 for prolonged periods in certain situations. Advice to that effect for a pint of Guinness.
