:DLast Sunday at 1955 hrs, I ordered a MC54-B Rocketa Scooter from Valley Scooters. It came today!! It was unloaded in my drive at 1230 this afternoon. I talked to Jon when I ordered it and he said it would ship on Tuesday after the holiday on Monday>> It shipped and his lovely wife called and gave me a tracking number that afternoon. Man, talk about a great place to do business!!!! Got the bike together, rode it 75 miles this afternoon and evening. Runs great, I also have a Royal Star Venture, 1300cc, and I think this is more fun to ride!!!! Like a lot of you old guys, I have been riding over forty years, can't remember all the motorcycles I have owned. Had one of some kind in my shop, except for two years in Viet Nam, since the early sixties. Just wanted everyone to know Valley Scooters is a great place to do business!!!!!!!!!!!

I am still looking around, but when I order my scoot, I'm about 90% that I'll order from Valley Scooters. I know nothing about them except what I've heard second hand, but here's what I do know:
I had questions about the difference between a couple models. I filled out the online form. I expected I'd get a 2 or 3 line email back sometime that week. No...Jon called me that same evening (there's a place to put your phone number). He answered all my questions, gave me a lot of good information and things to consider and think about. What I really liked was that he did not make me feel like his time was more valuable than mine. Although he must be busy, he did not rush me off the phone. In fact, I lost track of time, and when I hung up, I'd bet we had been on the phone for almost a half an hour! I have had several other questions that I've emailed him instead of using the form. He always answers back, and it's always in a timely manner.
I can't speak for the quality of the products he sells, but I can speak to the fact that the man behind Valley Scooters really impressed me. It seemed like he really wanted to help me make an intelligent and informed decision. It also did not seem like he was just trying to push a sale, or push his most expensive product. Can you really ask for more than that kind of attitude in the way of customer service?

Messages by Spazoo and Valley Scooters deleted. I locked your thread guys.. lets not continue it. Spazoo you may have your thread link in your signature, by I would appreciate your not re-posting the whole thread everytime someone mentions Valley Scooters. You may state here is my experience with Valley (link) but don't repost the whole thread every time. As I have said John from Valley is in my opionion a good dealer. You had a negative experience, I appreciate that. I detect some fault with both parties. But I am not going to let you attempt to drive a good dealer out of business using this forum as the bus to throw him under. Don't make me mention this again.

So scooter dealers can deliver anything in a box and the customer must accept it. And maybe, if the customer is lucky enough, they can fight and get a discount from the shipping company, not the dealer.
I've never purchased anything my entire life under this sort of arrangement so maybe that is why I am apalled by this treatment.
And whoever thinks that is a fair way to do business will feel differently if they ever find themselves on the receiving end of such of the deal.
LOL. This whole thing is so absurd it's hilarious.
I am sorry if I have offended anyone with my outbursts. Once I figure out what planet I am on I will try to adjust accordingly.

Amen to that Spazoo, Dealers should stand behind their product. You deserve a NEW scoot after all the frustration you've been through. Even the GREATEST dealers make mistakes, and if this is true. Address the mistake and send parts and an apology.

I don't like seing some dealers getting specail attention on this site just because they have it good with some moderators. I will never buy from valley after seing the kind of imature proffessionalism behavior, wether spazoo was right or wrong, you dont bark back on a scoot forum, you handle quickly of line with irrate customer, because the customer is always right, even when he's not. The only reasone this dragged on so long is because of the immature behavior from valley scooters. They won't get my $$$

I stand behind ACD's decision. Valley Scooters is not being "protected". Spazoo's case has been stated in depth many times for all to see. The thread was allowed to remain for all to see. There is no real censorship going on here. Both sides were treated fairly, perhaps even more so for Spazoo. This forum is for sharing information about our scoot experiences and Spazoo was allowed to do so. At some point this discussion needs to be drawn to a close. There is nothing to be gained by it's continuation. The rest of the story needs to unfold, privately, between the parties involved.
Spazoo, I think I can speak for the rest of the staff when I say we are truly sorry this has happened to you. You made a substantial purchase and deserved a better outcome. Mistakes were made by both parties. If correspondence with John and filing forms with the shipper doesn't bring a satisfactory resolution, it is time for you to take legal action. If you don't wish to be bothered with that course of action, then put it behind you and move on. It is your choice. I am certain we will be glad to hear of any resulution, if one occurs.

I admit that I have not read the thread that Spazoo complained in. I do think that stating a complaint and having a discussion is fine. Then you go on with life. Nothing is going to settle a dispute with a purchase of a scooter on this forum. That is between the parties involved.
And I am certain that we as moderators all agree that this forum is not going to turn into an arena to post only complaints.
