Has anyone heard good or bad about this company? I vaguely recall a flamefest on scooterbbs toasting this outfit, but I can't find it now. They have what seems to be an insanely low price for Roketa Bahama 150ccs, about $826, with liftgate to your residence for $200. I'll have an extra $2000 or so in about 2-3 months and will likely commit to a scoot at that time. $1026 to my door leaves $$ for the safety class, a full face helmet, a decent, protective riding jacket, and a year of insurance.

I've never heard of them but took a look at the website. Those are really good prices. I noticed some of the 150's were on back order though. Using one of these web companies can be a little spooky if you can't get feedback from others who have dealt with them.

Using one of these web companies can be a little spooky if you can't get feedback from others who have dealt with them. Chad, the guy who answers the sales e-mail, says that they arrive 2-3 weeks after ordering. Perhaps they got that June shipment in and didn't update the site yet? He says that you assemble are the mirrors, charge the battery, and check the nuts/bolts for tightness and go. Another site that sells those little gas razor-type scooters gave him some big kudos for helping them improve their engines. I didn't ask this on scooterbbs because I rather like the tone of things here and I feel like I'm among like-minded people who see the value and challenge in a Chinese scoot. I'm really interested in the Roketa Bermuda he's got but am a bit concerned about the seemingly lower power of the engine. I don't intend to double up much but like the seat configuration for the times I will. I'd like to see a max speed of around 65 with a cruise of 55 or so. Am I dreaming?

Look at Paylessscooters on Ebay and compare.........Of course the tranaction isn't complete and I don't know if I've had it stuck to me yet but my Primo Terminator was $1200 delivered to my home. They have a little 150 like the Bahama at $799 shipping is $150-200 lower 48. Keep watching I'll let everyone know how it works out. Lee if this pricing info is uncool delete it and hit me with a rolled up newspaper......"Bad Dawg....Bad Dawg"

I like that Payless installs a new exhaust and then goes a bit further to rejet the engine to match it, at least according to the emails he' sent me. I saw his Ranger 150, and the only quibble between the that and the Roketa is the latter's better instrumentation. I like the idea of having the speedo, tach, & temp gauge in an OEM setup.

Hey Aaron, when I first clicked your link to the ebay sale, it was dead. Does this guy have a website? Can you give us a link?

Payless/New Era stocks the "JMSTAR" line of scoots. I traced them back to this website for the manufacturer. I think the Primo Terminator comes from them as I saw it, complete with the same exhaust pipe as shown on the eBay listing, on this site.

Drf8, My first call to Payless 3 weeks ago confirms your suspicion! He also carries or has carried LongBo, SunL, and JMStar. He has a JMStar touring model on Ebay now. Said Primo was the better of the 3 brands but they were all related. I was reluctant to purchase it after talking with Javarod who said scoots were OK but parts/support from them could be scary. Tom assured me he had parts and support and what the hell someone has to be the Guinea Pig for you other Dawgs! Taking one for the ScootDawg Team.....that's me!LOL

It'll be interesting to compare your and my Primo experiences, especially since it appears yours is the same thing as mine, but a little fancied up! I wonder what the 'mods' are that come on the terminator that make it different than my Streaker 150. Exhaust pipe is obvious, and maybe different colors...

Jason I think the Streaker is based on the Excaliber which is the closest to a Matrix. They told me the Excaliber is being phased out which is why they have them so cheap. Somehow the body on the Terminator looks different than Excaliber softer corners or something. Probably exactly the same underneath! As for performance differences all the ads are a bunch of Tripe so who knows!

I recently purchased a 150cc scooter from them. Mixed reactions about them. Got a good price on my Streaker 150, but I ordered a Red Streaker 150 with a trunk, and I got a yellow Falcon 150 with no trunk. Took them several weeks to mail out my paperwork, so I could get the scooter registered and titled. Dave Bergman (owner) won't return my emails in reference to the trunk. So I guess the money I saved on the scooter now will be spent on a trunk. Bottomline, if you don't care about colors or accessories, and are not in hurry to ride your new scooter, then I guess they're OK...otherwise stay away.

Streaker? Falcon?
I think you have extremescooters.biz confused with extreme-scooters.com. extremescooters.biz only carries Roketa scoots and that line only uses island names (Fiji, Bali, Bermuda, etc).

I just looked at some of the specs on extremescooters.biz website. Do the Roketa's actually have 16" wheels?

Doubt it. I'll e-mail them and ask for clarification.

Nope, none of the Roketas have 16" wheels unless there's a new model out there I'm not aware of. Actually I don't think any Chinese scooter goes that big, Kymco's People line does I believe, not sure if anything else does.

I asked Chad at extremescooters.biz and he said that the rims are 13". The size in the data section for the scoots was typed in incorrectly.

BEWARE OF DAVE AT EXTREME SCOOTERS.COM; he will tell you anything you want to hear; I ordered a silver Tank 150 Touring Deluxe from him back in May and I have yet to receive it; he has done nothing but lie and lie and lie in the last 2 months; he is VERY dishonest; he sent me a different scooter after a month of waiting (a black roketa bali 150) and told me he sent me a better scooter with a better engine and 5 inches bigger and i should keep it; he then told me it's the exact same scooter just a different sticker on it; and then he sent me some emails telling me tank's are junk and he didn't' want to send me junk (although that's what he supposedly sells) and then he sent me emails from other people to him about how disappointed they were in his company and how they are thinking of suing him and he gave me these people's email addresses and phone #'s of other unhappy customers; this is the most shady man you will ever be in contact with if you order from him! I still have not received my scooter; every single week since June 1; he has told me YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR SCOOTER NEXT WEEK... still hasn't happened... BEWARE; HE'S A SHADY SCAM ARTIST WHO HAS DONE NOTHING BUT LIE TO ME...

Wow am I glad I did not end up buying from this guy. When I first started my scooter sopping I had pretty much decided on a Tank 250 from Extreme-Scooters.com and at the last minute I changed my mind based on the information I read on the various forums. I had even faxed this guy a signed Bill of Sale that is how close I was to ordering from him. I am glad I stayed away. I have read nothing but bad things about this guy ever since.
Izzie if you come back to the forum I am curious to know what happened when you received the Roketa Bali 150. Did you just not sign for the delivery and send it back? Actually from what I have been reading it might not have been a bad idea to take the Roketa. They seem to be getting pretty good reviews. I cannot believe how this guy blatantly lies to people. He told me that Tank is a great product and that he owns a 250 and that is what he drives. He is a typical scammer that will say whatever he has to in a situation. One day he will tell you one thing and the next day another. Anyway I hope you do finally get your scooter. Eventually I am sure you will get it. I read some posts about this guy on Scooterbbs.com and there were also complaints about people waiting months for their scooters to arrive. Getting the MCO and paperwork seems to be a problem as well with this guy. Good luck.

well so far this guy has been telling me for almost a month now they are going to pick up that old Roketa they sent me. its still in my yard; someone actually did come out last Friday to pick it up but didn't have the proper equipment so they said they would be back to pick up that old Roketa yesterday; still waiting on that. The Roketa Bali that Dave from extreme-scooters.com sent me didn't look new at all; their were footprints and dirt all over the footmats and oil leaking from it and just oil all over the container. I think is was some old used scooter he may of had lying around. It wasn't even shipped from Tank (originally he made it sound like tank accidentally sent me the wrong scooter; a better one) but then last week he tells me that there are 2 different shipping companies.and Tank uses their very own shipping company; unlike the one he used. its so hard to keep up with all the lies he has told me. he also said last week that he did put in my order for the scooter with Tank back in May and now he is telling me that he put in my order with Tank on July 14. Although he has told me that 2 times a week since the beginning of June. I don't know if i will ever receive the scooter I've ordered but I am now seeking an attorney to help me out with this dishonest person who claims in one of his emails to me that only GOD would be able to get it delivered in a timely manner and he's a Christian man that has been nothing but honest with me. I have about 30 emails from him all stating I will receive my scooter by the end of the week or by next week at the very latest and the first one is dated June 1 when I started asking him if there was a routing # so i can track my order (which he still will not give me because one doesn't exist until it's actually on the way) I was hoping to have the scooter I ordered before summer started; he has definitely taken out the excitement I originally had of buying a scooter for the first time... sorry to vent but just BEWARE OF THIS MAN...

I recently got an email from the .biz guy Chad. He asked me to make it clear that his is a much different business than the guy with the .com site. He also said that he is newly into the MRP parts thing. I would like to hear further feedback on Chad and his business. From what I've seen, the .com place is to be avoided.

If anyone does buy from here let me know, I am a few months out from buying and if this place turns out to be legit they will be a good source to buy from, especially from the good things I have heard about the Roketa.

I wonder if this guy realizes that this is illegal. For a dealer to sell a new vehicle with any emissions-related equipment installed that doesn't conform to the as-tested EPA certification, is considered to be tampering and would make them subject to big fines and confiscation of the scooter(s). If anyone really cared, that is. Advertising it is just asking for an EPA inspection, though.

I'd be willing to bet you a donut that he doesn't install a new exhaust. If you are talking about that exhaust that looks like an expansion chamber exhaust, it's not a "performance" exhaust and it requires no re-jetting of the carb. That exhaust comes stock on a lot of scooters.

Johhny Primo's are built by JMStar I have a Primo terminator. The scoot is great but Paylessscooter that I bought it from is not. I hate to say it but go for the Roketa. Nothing wrong with any of the scooters but how good the dealer is what you need to be loking for. Look around on this site for ideas or Google the scoot model you want and check prices. Then call the ones that seem in your price range and call them. Try to get a feel for what they are like. It's well worth a couple hundred more $ for a dealer that will be there for you.
