Jim, did you know where that website got it's info from? Here is an explanation on this thread. did you ever read the thread about how Dan from scooter parts express was once a potential partner of ScrappyDogScooters and friend who ended up just using the trust given him to steal the supplier contacts, customer database, business model, and even copied and pasted the ScrappyDog website including descriptions, layout, and pricing? He was under the gun from Alchemy attorney when he made just enough changes in the descriptions that he felt like he did enough? He hasn't done enough and is on the verge of actually getting served in the state of Nevada. The suppliers he stole agreed months ago to stop selling to such a scurrilous creature and he's working off existing inventory. He's working out of his friends garage now. His background is in the chemical and stock market field. He's never even riden a scooter or motorcycle in his life. Where did he get all that information on his website? He was just released a few years ago after serving a federal prison sentence for bilking an elderly woman in a stock market scam. Joke was on him because the old lady had a federal judge in her family. I wonder how many he ripped off before he found someone that wasn't so feeble and helpless that could fight back. Be sure you know every dime you spend with Dan and his ripped off scooter company goes to paying off his federal fine, which is in the millions. Maybe that's why he was so eager to do such a thing. Thanks for the info guys. Can you tell how to tell one from the other? Yea one is faster than the other ;D If you actually look at both motors they look the same and that is because the 150 was made out of the 125. They will have the motor itched on the Case right under the front of CVT. Sam Jim, yes looks like we were typing at the same time ;D Like on this 1P39QMB motor

I was just quoting the source of the info not endorsing his site whatsoever. Jim

No problem Jim. I was just making it public that the information on that site was plagurized from the tech section and 157qmj page header on ScrappyDog (along with the entire site). Hope I didn't sound accusatory! ...just still really upset being betrayed by someone that I put trust into (Dan)

It can be difficult to decipher exactly which engine you have, but this should get pretty far in any case.
If we try to decode the 152QMI engine
The first digit (1) Show how many cylinders the engine has. All GY6 engines are single cylinder and therefore the figure is always 1
Figures 2 and 3 (52) Shows the diameter of the bore of the cylinder in mm. In this case 52 mm
Number/letter 4 (Q) Shows what type of engine it is. Q = Air-cooled, F = Air-cooled, Y = Oil Cooled
Numeral/character 5 and 6 (MI) Displays the cubic of the engine. The calculation starts with the letter M equal to 50cc. This is increased with 10cc for each following letters up to 110cc: MA = <50cc, MB = 50cc, MC = 60cc, MD for a 70, MH = 110cc, MI = 125cc, MJ = 150cc, MO = 200cc.
Extra numbers/letters are manufacturers information. Can not find what it stands for but it could show where in China the engine is made ...
