Has anyone ever taken the motorcycle road test on a 150cc scooter? I know the maneuvers should be fine but is it harder with a scooter?

I would think it would be easier with a scoot since its lighter and typically more nimble then a larger full dressed bike that weighs 4 times+ as much.
I took mine on a 800cc V-twin and was fine so with a scoot you should be just fine.

I took the Georgia test on a scooter, and I'd have to say, I'd hate to even think about doing some of the maneuvers on a large motorcycle.

Took mine on a 125cc Honda. It made it much easier. Lighter weight, more maneuverable, and no shifting to worry about.

I took my MC test on a Suzuki GS 550 when I was only 16 so a scooter would be like cheating

The only thing I find harder on a scoot compared to a motorcycle is driving slow on a grassy and bumpy plane. All other things are easier on a scoot.

I took mine on a 150cc scooter. It was very easy except for the figure 8. Tough to do with the 13 inch tires. What I did was to look up the test on the web and went to a empty lot. Got some ground chalk and drew out the test. I was able to be prepared when I went to the dmv. The person giving the test will walk you through each step so you know what you are expected to do. Practice makes perfect

The low speed maneuvers require clutch control, something you just don't have on a scooter. The figure-8 box is VERY small and requires you to use the throttle to keep you upright. You need the grey area of the clutch 'friction zone' to control when and how much power gets to the wheel. A scooter clutch is on/off and I would think this would make it more difficult.

My wife took the skills test with very little experience on a 125 Elite with 10" wheels. It was easy. If you can't do it you shouldn't be driving a scooter.

Don't know about Georgia, but in Oregon there is more than one class of MC endorsement - over 500cc and under 500cc. If you want the full endorsement, you have to take the test with a bike over 500cc. I used an 1100cc Honda...

True, but a lightweight scooter should not be too difficult to keep upright at low speed. Just remember to *never* take your foot off the floorboards - instant fail!

i def think a scooter would be hundred times easier. first the figure 8 wouldnt be harder just use the brake slightly while holding throttle. i took my test on a honda rebel and i hated it just because i was to big for the bike and was in a uncomfortable position. otherwise the figure 8 is the hardest but after doing the class which you have to take in florida once i did test portion it was easy

It's true a modern scooter doesn't have a clutch. But you just drag the rear brake instead. I had zero issues in the advanced MSF class with the low-speed maneuvers. In fact, did the barely creep along portion way better than when I had to feather the clutch! Stunk it at the u-turns/figure S, but that wasn't my scoot's fault (nor the Honda Rebel's in the beginner's class).
Just squeeze your rear brake a little so it drags and keeps tension.
