Sure, why not?
Take your old battery with you to compare the sizes and get one that is similar in size to what you have.

Hmm does it start up as good ? Are the blinkers and tail light as bright ? I normally would get a car battery with more amps than it called for to be safe . With extra power if its low your still good , and if you have just enough or below you may need a battery jump start in the winter time

Also, the brightness of the lights wouldn't have anything to do with the power of the battery. That would be the job of the stator and rectifier. As long as I monitor the charge of the battery, which I do regularly, I'll be good. I have not seen anyone on these boards that understands that Amp Hours is different that the Amps a battery could put out which is separated into CA, CCA and HCA. This portion of Wikipedia explains it best: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automotive_battery#Terms_and_ratingsI bought the battery I did because it was the only one I could find that had these ratings available. All the 7ah batteries I saw online didn't have any other rating available besides the capacity and capacity isn't that important to me.

None of the walmarts here carry a 7a battery, I went to Orielly's auto parts and told them that the base walmart motorcycle batteries are $39.99 and that includes a one year warranty which is true. They've sold me three batteries now price matching that deal even though walmart doesn't have the 7a. They do have a 4a and 5a then it jumps to the 9a which is much taller then the 7a and wont fit in any of my scooters.

When I need a replacement battery I get the sealed batteries that come in booster packs for jumping off a car. A decent one is smaller than what comes in the bike has a Peak amperage rating of 1500 amps and doesn't mind being deeply discharged. They last 7 years or more with heavy use and don't mind cold weather. Everything I have has a charging circuit built into it so what do I need a battery with hours of capacity at it's rated discharge rate that will fail in a few years! These smaller batteries are tough as nails. I have these in all my small engines with electric start and love them.

I got my battery from Walmart, it's an ES9BS, I believe its 8Ah and seems to work really well, it being AGM is nice too, no risk of electrolyte spills.
