Same as the guy above and it will dry out your belt too overtime lessening its strength.

LOL Industrial Food grade belt dressing? shreaded belt salad any one? TFF we use to use silicone on belts to quiet them down and no they don't slip with it

I used it on my Jonway's CVT belt which was slipping after being unused for a couple months. It slipped more for a while but then started running normally with slight slipping. I think the improvement was due to the bike being ridden, not the belt dressing.
