Gotta be a typo here... So, I'm looking at Superior Powersports' web page, and come across this scoot: www.superiorpowersports.com/50cc_gas_scooter_p/rk50sc-114.htmGet this...it's listed as having a 4-speed semi-auto transmission, essentially a clone of the Honda Cub system, but look at the price! Now, I've done a bit of looking about and discovered it's made by Bashan, which has a pretty good rep going for them(from what I've read; remember to take things with a grain of salt.); also, it's sold under the Roketa name as well in other spots. (you'll even see it on the Roketa page.) Since I've got a day off next week, I'm seriously going to contact Superior and ask what's going on with this bike's listed price. A 'Caveat Emptor' moment if ever I've seen one. Can anyone here speak towards Bashan products? From what I've read here, Superior does pretty well by their customers for what they sell. Thanks for your time!

The Honda Cub is the best selling moped scooter ever. That's why it is copied.

Got to love that! Can buy 4 of the Roketas for the price of the Sym. But why didn't you post this scooter? You are a Sym dealer right?

When I first heard about those, I wanted one...everything I read said they were well worth the asking price. But, a mostly broke bachelor like me would have to hit a lottery before buying!

I'ts hard to buy a good lawn mover for less then $400, so what quality do you truly think you are going to get in an automatic motorcycle for $500 to $600.

So one takes stock in the BBB? You're kidding right? The BBB is like a lot of other things motivated by money. I can list a dealer here that has a A rating that doesn't even belong to the BBB the whole orginization is a joke. So add it up like this; Junk plus an F plus BBB = JOKE!BTW lots of people sell Chinese scooters and a lot of people call them junk doesn't mean it's so either. znen-motor.com/

They have contacted me several times to become an accredited business but, I refused because I do not want to pay their fees. Why would I want to pay for something that I get for free? This has not affected our rating. So how can a rating be motivated by money? Rating system: www.bbb.org/business-reviews/ratings/Some folks do not take stock in what the BBB says but, there are a lot that do. Jim/Owner Rapid Repair

To join the BBB you pay a fee and if you don't think their ratings can't be bought you live in a glass house, here's an example; www.bbb.org/arkansas/business-reviews/discount-stores/wal-mart-stores-in-bentonville-ar-1864Walmart with a A? Get real. Also by your own testimony you condemned the BBB. You aren't a member, don't pay a fee and they rate you based on absolutley no information about you except the address and location of your business. You're not the only one and I'm also not saying you don't deserve the rating but you also said some people pay attentiuon to what they say? Why should anyone pay attention to a rating system that can rate someone who is not member has no history of customer dealings for the agency to go by and gives a A+ to a business they know nothing about? Heck if they gave me a A+ for nothing I'd jump on the BBB bandwagon too! Then you have people and in this case another dealer coming on this forum and condemning another dealer calling their scooters junk and putting up the mighty BBB rating system. Both things are junk if you ask me at least you don't do that Jim.

A hustle, that's what kind. Shills for paying business-customers. I don't worship the BBB; but they're one more tool to help spot the the crooks and figure out who's shooting straight. Now you have it; others have said the product is junk and the merchant is F-Rated. Caveat Emptuor

Come on guys enough of the petty stuff. The topic is opinions of the bike and the dealer, no need to jump on members.
Who cares if a word is not spelled correctly, and BBB ratings can be helpful but not the entire story about a dealer.
For my two cents, I know a guy that actually bought two of these exact bikes a couple years ago and he loves them.

Thanks Medman. A lot of scooters can be fine as long as one does a proper PDI and then takes care of them. Some like a lot of machines including autos can be junk no doubt.
Like it or not the Chinese stuff is here and I remember a time when people said Japanese junk, seems we don't hear that any more?

I think you misunderstood what I was replying to. You made the statement that there rating wasn't influenced by money and you are correct in saying non-members aren't.
But if you are a member and I know those who are that can tell you that money they give them can influence their rating system, it's the way a lot of things in this world work.
But I'll still ask the question, how much stock do you have in a system that only knows a address and location of a company and yet rates them at any level? What if they had gave you a "F"? I'm sure you would have something to say about that especially if someone used it on a open forum against you?
