Not that this guy needs anymore positive feedback, but I have been all over the internet searching for parts help and information, most people do not even respond to emails let alone go thru the trouble to help you out like Mo @ Scrappydogscooters.
I ordered some variator weights and was looking into some race variators from them, I was given a truthful honest opinion on all and expedited shipping! I couldnt be happier.
Anyone on the fence about these guys, jump on over!

Well you will find NOT SO POSITIVE responses on here as well. Sure HELP and INFORMATION is all he is good for as well as Poor Quality Parts. Of course he is going to respond that is all he is really good for. But get a bad part and then let us know how sweet the guy is when you try to get a refund, exchange or warranty.
Answering and responding is NOT all that determines a good parts place. Quality and IF he stands behind the parts he sells makes a good parts place.
I am JUMPING ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE, As the saying goes "SCREW ME ONCE SHAME ON YOU SCREW ME TWICE SHAME ON ME".

I have NEVER had anything but positive experiences with Scrappydogscooters. I also have never had a problem with poor quality parts, but no one can guarantee 100% quality on parts. Not unless they themselves are actually making each and every part and component. His parts prices are so low he can't have a lot of maneuvering room on warranties anyway and the Chinese aren't going to give you credit because they don't stand behind their products. You're gonna have too eat it, and maybe (just maybe) in 6 months to a year with a lot of arm twisting you MIGHT get credit for your defective parts.

I never bought from scrappydogs, because my scooter is very low maintenance. I generally by from Roketa or Parts for Scooters. I am generally the sameway as ED. If they screw me, I will never give them a second chance. Attachments:

Here we go again.
Check the e*bay rating. He obviously gets it right way more than wrong, but I guess when it goes wrong it does so in spectacular fashion. DOM's engine was a good example. Steps have been taken to make sure that doesn't have to happen again but I sympathize; that bitterness isn't going away any time soon.
I have so far made 3 orders with a 4th on the way. All small stuff but never had a problem personally.

Check the e*bay rating. He obviously gets it right way more than wrong, To be fair though his hand is forced on Ebay. Buyers can return anything for just about any reason regardless of seller's personal policy. My advice is that if you're going to buy from scrappdogscooters you do so via Ebay and not directly from the online store. That way if you get a lemon, you get your money back.

I've ordered from him at least 7 times, all positive except once, when I was expecting a Scootdawg discount. My only issue is that I've never been able to get through on the phone. I can't make phone calls until well after 6pm and kinda expect them to answer their phones BEFORE 5pm local time. ALWAYS get an answering machine, most of the time full so I can't leave a message.

I am kind of embroiled in a return battle with them. Why can't they just make things easy? And it takes them forever to respond to your emails. When you try to call them, the one who answers the phone is really short with you, and you can hardly understand him/her (couldn't tell).

I personally have bought several items from Rich and have yet to have any problems. Occasionally I have had a problem reaching him on the phone during business hours but, I have had customers that have had to call me back, funny thing about owners, sometimes we are busy with other customers when someone else calls. I have yet to have him not respond to any of my emails within a short period of time and always the same day. On the same hand, I have only dealt with Rich and not anyone that works for him so, I can not make a comment about them.
Warranty can be a very touchy situation. Rich does sell at the lowest possible price he can. This does not leave any room for warranty. If you do some comparison research, you will find that those companies that offer better warranties are normally much higher in price for the item in the first place. I have yet to find anyone that warranties electrical/electronic parts. The problem in this area is that the vendor does not have a clue whether the part was bad from them or if the customer installed it correctly. We have all heard " it wasn't me, it was this cheap s%%%". I have read in another post where, someone suggested that Rich raise his prices to cover warranty issues. Well, we all know what happens then, people will complain his prices are to high. It is a no win situation.
As far as the motor issue that dirtyolman had, there are two sides to every story. In my opinion and what I read in another post, that situation could have been handled differently by both sides.
I did notice today that Scrappy is not on the rotating banners of Scootdawg approved vendors. I honestly can not say if he was there before or not. If he was then the Mods must have had a good reason for removing him.

I have ordered from Scrappydogscooters quite a few times and never had any problems but I will admit that the stories I have been hearing lately have me a little concerned. I will however continue to order from him until he does me wrong.
The majority of business always has and will continue to go to Jeremy @ Enviromoto. In my opinion he is one of the best. Very knowledgeable.

I do not recall if he had a banner or not. I also do not know of any conversations in the staff area about him and removing a banner. I have an add up for him on my forum. He has or at least had a link to my forum on his site, we have an agreement for that.
I have heard many praises about Scappy and also seen a share of complaints. He does have very good prices and for some that is all that matters.
If price does not matter as much but still matters, I think Jeremy at Enviromoto comes very close to the same price and he will offer very good advice as well.

I did post that Scrappy should raise their prices high enough to properly package the parts to prevent shipping damage. If I arrange shipping and an item gets run over by a forklift I get satisfaction out of my shipper. If someone ships something to me with whoever they contracted to ship with and I receive scrap because of poor packaging and bad shipper, that seller owes me, because it was his decision, packaging, shipper. I wasn't in that decision loop.

I just placed a close to $900 order first thing this morning. Actually called them and ordered over the phone. He told me they would have it shipped out today and I would receive a tracking number... I got billed, but did not receive any tracking info. Should I be a little weary?

Getting your parts is not the problem. The problem comes in if any of the parts are damaged or don't fit or some kind of problem. I am sure you will get the parts but check right away for shippment damage and or just plain damagaed goods, if so take pictures right away and DO NOT PUT THEM ON. Lefty

Got a FEDEX tracking number says info sent to FedEx on Friday, no updates since. Shouldn't there have been a pick up scan and a departure scan? Says I should get the parts on the 7th(Thursday) I guess I will see.

FedEx is not the best at tracking, but if they say Thursday you should get them then or Friday sometimes FedEx changes the delivery day. Lefty

The status of my last purchase to be delivered by Fedex "Sitting on truck awaiting delivery next business day". It's been sitting there since Friday afternoon, and since they don't deliver Saturday or Monday, I'll get it Tuesday. I can't even go pick it up since it's already "out for delivery".

My last FedEx shipment sat for a week waiting for FedEx to pick it up. They finally did pick it up on the day it was supposed to be delivered and so the item arrived at my door a week late.

Still says only info was sent to Fed EX, nothing else... I have never had a problem with Fed EX with any other shipments I am have made or received from other businesses, does Scrappy just owe them money so they wont pick up until his bill is current?

I'm curious for your reasons for choosing FEDEX, was the order too large to ship USPS? I have used nothing but USPS for all my orders from Scrappy and have never had to wait more than 3 days to get it too my door. Most orders ship from Vegas and are at my doorstep the next day or the day after. Unless you have something large or heavy IMHO you're wasting money paying extra for FEDEX. Next time you do order something try USPS (if you haven't already), you may be pleasantly surprised at how quick you get it.

I'm starting to wonder why he even bothers with FedEx any more. Sure the competition is a little more expensive... but really, heavy stuff arriving from FedEx damaged is getting to be a bit too common of a theme. At least you were smart with the photos up front; it makes everyone's role much easier.

Food for thought... We don't use FedEx for ANYTHING and I would recommend that no one else does either unless we all see marked improvement.

My shop has been usung Scrappydogs for a bout a year now for various part in conjuction with other suppliers.
They are really slow when it comes to emails but after a bit we just started to call in all our orders and have had no issues since.
They accually will "reach out and touch" (as they say) the parts if I need to be positively sure the part is in stock
Scrappy is really good about getting parts to me as fast as possible, My orders generally take 2-3 days to get to me here in South Carolina.
I have had a few parts come really late but when I called up they told me they were stll waiting for the parts from china to arrive. It happens.
NOW one must keep in mind that I do have a business account there and that I spend a bit of money with them. This may be why I have such good experience with Scrappy. But as an individual the service may not be so good. IDK. But thats my experience anyway.
