Just called the phone number. It's an automated (computer generated) voice. I find it humorous that they uncrate 20% of their inventory to inspect and adjust, then recrated and marked "ready to be shipped". What about the other 80%? One thing to consider: IT IS SUPER EASY TO GET A MERCHANT ACCOUNT WITH A LOCAL BANK! It is CHEAPER to use your local bank to accept credit cards than to be hit with Google's fees. If they do NOT have a merchant account to accept credit cards then there is a REASON. Bad credit, no credit, etc. It only took me one phone call and 2 days waiting for a credit check and I can accept credit cards with a reader. And the fees are about 1/3 of what Google charges. Stay AWAY from a company that accepts payment through Western Union. Unless it's the power company, most companies that use WU are scam companies. They are getting better at it, but generally there is no recourse when sending money that way for a purchase. You cannot get your money back once it has been picked up and Western Union is no help at all. To me it sounds like their "cap" on Google was really Google's fraud detection team working. They also deal with "Money Bookers": www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/moneybookerscom-c60652.htmlThat company is used almost as much as Western Union by scam artists. The website is a CHEAP template that has lots of pages but no information. The company is not reputable. This whole thing SCREAMS of a scam. I doubt you will EVER see your Certificate of Origin. Is it really necessary to register? In Maine all you need is a bill of sale (just say it's a personal sale) and a Dealer's Certificate if bought directly from a local dealer, like me. Greg Yeah its one of those "If I knew then, what I know now" situations. Yes my state requires the MMO Certificate and a copy of the Bill of Sale. I still haven't got either. So the scooter is still sitting there i my yard as a reminder to me to research websites before using them!

Here's my update....So far I have contacted my local news (one station already returned my call for a follow up), the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center, BBB and my local police. Western Union and my bank are next to see if I have any protection. Ridingtotheend...i was just wondering how you paid for your scooter and what channels you went through to track it down. I used Western Union to purchase mine. I feel like a total moron now for doing that, but at the time it seemed right. If the MMO comes in I will definitely tell you all, but at this point I not getting my hopes up. I am inclined to think they may have had some scooters to sell but no clue how to do it properly. I will keep my fingers crossed for you Mintobean.

I believe they are hosting this website with Intuit. I just notified Intuit of this suspicious web site. Maybe they will take action.

Well i kept getting more and more mad, so I called my local FBI office. I told them what had happened, and what seems to be going on. They said they have heard of similar scams used by Nigerians, where they dupe US Citizens into working for them. They said that if it wasn't a scam that it would fall under Civil Law and not criminal as far as non delivery of products. That is awful, just down right awful. They gave me another number and I called it and the guy from that number told me the same things from the other number, except he gave more specifics of these type of scammers operate and how they use prepaid internet services to do these things. Anyways, I didn't get a bunch of Gun Ho G-Men to go after the scammers, but did get some good information about what to watch out for in the future. Scammers are getting smarter, so we as consumers have to get even more careful. I will buying another scooter online, but I will be so very very cautious when I do!

What to watch out for.
1. Price seems way to good to be true
2. Nobody has ever heard of them on forums
3. They dont anwer there phone or ever call you back
4 They dont answer your emails.
5. Sounds to good to be true 99% of the time it is
6. Always pay with your bank card or visa so the bank can back up your purchase. Dont ever use Moneybookers, Western Union, or anyother internet pay method, except paypal.
7. Use common sense, dont let the drive to save 100$ on a scooter force you to jump the gun, DO YOUR HOMEWORK ON THE PERSON YOUR GOING TO BUY FROM.

THE SITE HAS BEEN TAKEN DOWN ALREADY!
No, don't EVEN use PayPal unless you're using your credit card through it. Seriously. PayPal is as bad as Western Union when it comes to these scams.

Yesterday I contacted the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center, the BBB, my local Attorney General and 3 local television stations. I was so happy this morning when the site was shut down, at least it won't happen to anyone else. I have also heard that scammers are using Intuit a lot as a host. URGH, I guess I will probably never see my scooter or my money. This is a great forum though and i will be back to research my next purchase, or maybe just go to a brick and mortar store. Thanks for all the feedback and i will post any further developments.

I got the MMO and a receipt in the mail today!!!!!! I made double sure I wasn't getting a bad MMO so I compared its VIN to the scooter, and it matched up. I'm going to my BMV later today and I will tell you guys how it went.

Very easy to buy a new domain name, and hosting and throw up a website, probelm there is no rules or regulations on website, unless they physically go to jail, they will keep doing it.
