Debating between the SSR Verona 150 and the RX 150 16S. Both very similar, although I'm leaning towards the Verona. Looks to be the better build of the two, from what I can tell. Anybody have any more info on these two?

Anybody have any more info on these two? The difference between the two that I saw was that one is CARB approved and can be registered in California, the other is not. You might as well save yourself the money and get the cheaper of the two. Just my opinion.

Yeah and as far as I can tell the CARB certification only means it has that performance sappiong $5 charcol cannister strapped onto the frame :-). But hey CA get's a larger chunk of $$$$ out of it so they can keep the lights on.

ScootinSeej, No need to get the CARB version, they do not test scoots in Ill, I live in Illinois as well. Also the emissions stuff is just more trouble you will have down the road, with Leaks, plugged up canisters etcc.. Mine has ONE HOSE for the Valve Cover Vent and that is it. Lefty

Why did I select the MC-62-250?...Good question...First I had a MC-54-250b for over a year and drove it everywhere...the 54b was a really great bike...Yes..getting a different scoot was a tough decision, but I wanted a change...so, I selected the Roketa MC-62-250 because of all my research and talking with many dealers about their experience with this scoot. Every conversation was positive and the 54 and 62 types were both equal in quality...but the 54b does have a few more bells and whistles. Since I owned a 54b I know those features very well, but you know what, I never used them (key remote, alarms, radio, etc...) Therefore, I chose the 62 type scoot....plus it looks a little more sporty to me. The engine is a honda clone so can't go wrong there. I am mechanical and like to do my own work such as maintain engine, change oil and fluids often. I will add a cup holder and power port for my GPS again like I did on my last scoot...those are two must have features to me www.wix.com/wdallis/boll

Unless your state has you hook your scoot to a smog certification machine I would not purposely do it. A CARB cert scooter seriously only has a few extra vacuum hoses and a charcol cannister to draw a few HP points off the performance.

I ordered a 150cc US Titan from them. Have to admit the scooter arrived in about a week, undamaged and as I imagined it. Only thing is that I ordered a helmet with it and I got a little run around about it getting to me. Also the MSO was delivered in awsome timing. Overall I would give them a 8.5. ;D

Posted this on another thread that had some asking about this company, but here's my experience. I bought a BMS 200cc from Superior Power Sports & while I had no problems with the shipping the PDI, oil change, & spark plug upgrade they say comes with their scooters never happened. The battery was died after starting it twice, but at least the kick start worked. Thankfully a friend insisted I check the oil which there was hardly any of in the tank. When I took the scooter to my local shop to test the battery he explained that it had been pre-assembled & the was left on a shelf somewhere for a few years since it was a 2008 which would explain all the problems.
I now know better, but wish I had done more research on what really has to happen when you get a new scooter as far as pre start maintenance is concerned. I'm not mechanically inclined, but my local shop would have checked everything out for $180 & saved me a headache. I suggest that everyone who doesn't know how to work on a scooter call a shop near them find out what it would cost to have them PDI or fully assemble & PDI your new ride & add that to the overall cost of your scooter. Just have the company ship the bike to the shop so that they can make sure everything is done correctly before you ever start it. They did sent me a new battery when I asked to speak to a manager after a week of phone calls, but I never sent back the old battery since it was such a ordeal to get them to admit their fault in the first place!

Thank you for the thread and replies. It helped a great deal in my decision to order from them. I just ordered my Roketa (well, "RK" lol) MC-54-250B and the price was pretty good. The price and PDI(I don't trust theirs) are cool, but the feedback is the main reason I went with them.
Wish my luck. :-|

Just an update. I asked a question in the online chat and got an actual human typing to me, and quickly. The first chat room participant was the one who answered my question, directly, which is nice.
I called about my order status and shipping information, and the woman on the other end was friendly and specific as could be. I got a very good impression thus far. Good feedback here prompted me to use them, but it's nice to experience what looks to be good service firsthand and figured I'd throw my 2 cents in in case someone searches around for a consensus.

I've also asked a question in the live chat and got a response from a real person. They were helpful and willing to "talk" to you.

Most will talk to you until they have your money, just be careful buying a scooter online, as long as people on here have acually recieved there scooters from them, you should be fine.

Have you had a problem with them? I used them because I had read good things about the seller and the fact they can actually answer direct questions is so far looking good.
No final judgement or anything yet, just trying to be helpful and add my experience as it happens. Forgive me if you consider this naive, but when I first starting looking at drop shippers, I was linked to a couple chats of the variety that are all too familiar on the web when business overseas is involved.

That's exactly what I'm planning to make my next scooter. I wanted at least 250cc for my first scooter due to light highway use. That BMS is nice.

I just got my first scoot from them (superiorpowersports) this week, their "RK type 04." I expected it to be a Roketa, but it's a Jonway (probably same factory anyway, so whatever). Turns out it's a CARB bike, too, which I was *not* expecting. Their communication could be better: I had to contact them to get shipping information, and I didn't get a call/email back about my MCO question yesterday.
The scoot had some shipping marks on the plastics, which is unfortunate, and the floormat is simply awful. When I put the gas in the tank, it ran out on the ground, because they hadn't reconnected the fuel line after draining the tank. Scoot had a little over a mile on it, so they do actually test drive them for a reasonable amount of time.
The electrical connectors look solid, nice fat clips on them. I doubt they'll rattle loose. I do still need to replace fuel and vac hoses, and figure out how to disconnect the charcoal canister. All in all, I'm happy, particularly because I didn't have to assemble the thing myself.

Just to update, I got my scooter today. A hose came loose, I suspect due to the binding to the crate it came in, but I was glad enough to just get the thing uncrated and indoors, as the rain began as soon as I started unboxing.
The back trunk is scraped along a corner nothing I would even consider complaining about, but the scooter itself appears to be flawless. I hadn't started it since I don't trust PDI, good or otherwise, to translate to post-shipping.
I didn't even bother to check the hanging rubber hose, but the hosing is already living up to the reputation. The fastener included with the flimsy thing looks less reliable than a bread bag's twisty. I'll get to work on it by the weekend. Anyway that's that. I'm beat and have more hours of work than a day contains somehow, tomorrow.
A good experience with good communication throughout and delivered on time. Btw, despite them saying the title gets mailed separately, it came with the scooter in the trunk.

I just purchased a BMS Legend from them. They were super friendly and still are super friendly will all of my questions. I have been reading a lot of forums and they are doing the free PDI as of right now which is a huge plus. Members have actually checked to make sure that the spark plugs were replaced and such and they were. The PDI is what sold me, even if they don't have the free shipping it comes out to about the same as other places.

This is where I bought my scoot from. The shipping was fast and I got the paperwork for the title a couple days after the scoot. Made me feel better about the whole situation too. I haven't tried other places but for the price the quality of the overall company is good in terms of you don't have to worry about not having paperwork to register ect. No horror story here. Btw I created a Facebook page called "BMS MotorSports" for anyone that wants to join/be a fan. It's just me as of now lol.

Hi all...I am new to the forum and new to scooters. I use to have a sport bike(Suzuki GSX-R 600) but sold it a few years back. I just ordered a scooter online a few days ago from SuperiorPowerSports.com. I have been looking into scooters for just about a month. At first i was interested in a Yamaha Zuma but i stumbled across the "Chinese" scooter as i researched online. Anyway, i ordered the RK 150CC Scooter type 75 for $799 + $239 for shipping/assembly/pdi. I was very concerned the day after i placed my order because i had noticed the company had an "F" rating with the BBB but people on here seemed to have pretty positive exp with them. I will post updates as i get them. Also they give several discounts to Military, Law Enforcement, Students just FYI...i dont know how much of a discount but thats another thing i noticed after i ordered. I emailed them to see if they can give me my discount anyway

Do your own PDI as instructed on this board. You will learn alot about your machine and get familiar with it.After doing the PDI on my first scooter I'm now able to remove body panels and locate areas that I might have to check in the future faster. It also makes doing maint.easier.
