I have made several camping trips to Lexington and Frankfort KY and would LOVE to tour the backcountry on a scoot.
Nice pics!

Thanks bamathieu! The countryside is pretty in these parts of Kentucky with all the horse farms, stone fences and the foliage starting to green up some. There is a covered bridge in the Frankfort area, Switzer covered bridge, that I will be traveling to soon. This is a link to pictures of it; csimelissa.smugmug.com/gallery/943533_tCHtT#39158857_Rydtq

Great pics! We don't have those out here in California. Having the roadway boards going the long way looks like you could get caught in the groove between boards. What's the best way, travel down the center of the plank or are the gaps no problem?
Thanx, Russ

Thanks russ69! Going across the boards was no problem. The boards, going long ways, are butted up against one another so no real gaps, but the middle area is about 1 1/2 inch lower and narrow. Being closed in while riding through the bridge is a little strange.

Winchesterboy:
Its been years since I've been to Bourbon County. As a matter of fact almost 30 years. I really miss that area. I hope to get back there soon. I would enjoy scootin' around and checking out the covered bridge. Those are some awesome pics.

If you like covered bridges, come to Pennsylvania. In Bucks county alone there are more than a dozen.

Very Cool! Great photos! Did it smell like creosote? We have one the next county over (the last one in our county was burned down by kids) Maybe we can start a covered bridge drive through thread! Thanks for sharing the photos...nice scooter too! Regards from Georgia, skootz

I'm in Versailles, but my wife is from Flemming County, the covered bridge capital of Kentucky, or so they claim. I may tote my little 150 up there this weekend and look for some covered bridges! I thought I had been all over Bourbon County but I have never seen that bridge.

I guess I live a sheltered life, we have many covered bridges here in New England.
