;D Hi...and I would like to share my story. I found my 2005, 50cc, 2-stroke, Jieda-Hunter50QT-4 in the garbage, apparently previous owners couldn't start or run it. It had 54miles, the owner's manual and title on it. I tinkered with it but not being a mechanic, I forgot about it. Then my ride-on mower broke down and I surprised myself by nursing it back to health. Hey, why not turn my attention back to the scooter. I did the following: 1- gas tank was a disaster, cleaned it thoroughly. 2- replaced fuel valve and filter. 3- replaced and tightened all hoses. 4- replaced cheap fuel filter. 5- replaced battery. 6- added oil. 7- removed and thoroughly cleaned carb. 8- replaced spark plug. This scooter purrs now. In checking out a new exhaust system, I found out the scooter is driven by a minarelli [everybody seems to think this is a great little engine]. Still not sure about swapping out the exhaust system yet. But i'm still under $100 spent so far. Not bad! NOW THE PROBLEM!!! She runs great, She starts great when warmed up, She does not want to start COLD! I've done as much as I can with the manual choke....I'm at a stalemate...ANY HELP, SUGGESTIONS would be welcome. BTW most of what I've done so far was suggested by fellow scootdawgers and that is much appreciated. Hope you find my story interesting and helpful. Thanks, Bob

not to sound stupid....is the a/f screw the larger[closer to engine] screw or smaller[closer to air intake] screw.
