if yout auto choke is working right try adjusting your air/fuel screw or go up on your idle jet

Also, twist your throttle open to ensure gas flow is going to the carb. Check for clear hoses, no crud in fuel tank, hoses, petcock, air filter, auto choke. If your in colder climate up your idle (throttle) screw a bit

my scoot is always hard to start if its been sitting for a while , as in days or weeks cause theres no gas in the fuel lines. but you said it will do this after hours, I would still chk your lines to see if theres gas in them.
I know that I have to crank mine several times when theres no gas in the lines.
I at least hope this helps somewhat.
Peace

My scooter is hard to start cold sometimes too. (2 stroke like yours) If you plug off the air inlet hole in the air box while you press the start button you will find it will fire up. Once it fires then partially plug the hole for 10 or 20 seconds and rev the engine a little til you get some heat in the cylinder head and it should stay on after that. Smear a good coat of this stuff on the cracked tube and let it dry overnight. Home Depot paint dept. Good stuff.
