couldnt tell you either.i hve a couple gy6 50.and havefound it easier just to order one.however,i did swap a cdi from a 150 to my 50 and it mite be me but it seem to be better than the racing cdi box.idk?really inexpensive to order them and are readily available.
There might still be some manufacturer's using the 'pink' wire...but not many.
There are a couple of different 'retricted' CDI's. Some will keep top speed at or below 30 MPH. Others will keep max RPM's below 8500(probably a good thing if you like your engine). Others have no restriction at all.

jim ? for ya.i have bought two of those same gy6 non rev-limiting cdi's.now after the install,"plug and play"lol.within a week the scoot quits running.unplud the aftermarket one and plug the stock back she runs fine.is it rite that 2 cdi went bad?and what could cause this?im stumped.ive problem shot all i know.thank.

marklorenzi: I just bought one of the Fleetwoods. They look like a clone of the Honda XRM's they sell overseas. It is in transit now and I should get it this week. I will try to post my experience here. Call me the guinea pig hahaha.
