Hi guys, was wondering if someone can help me out here. From what I've gathered, if you have a 6 wire cdi then it means you can cut a wire and remove the speed limit right? Well the cdi I have looks like this: None of the wire is pink though (pink is supposedly the wire you need to cut?), so does anyone know which "pin-out" I need to remove to get rid of the speed restriction?

Tank and Roketa don't have the pink wire either. The best way to find out if yours is internal restricted is to change it with one that isn't.
Dasurfguy, the CDIs we use are compatiable to both 50cc and 150 cc and have not had a problem.

tried the no-limit cdi from parts for scooters and a 150 stock cdi on the Fly swift. The stock 150 cdi seemed a little faster - a little.

There might still be some manufacturer's using the 'pink' wire...but not many.
There are a couple of different 'retricted' CDI's. Some will keep top speed at or below 30 MPH. Others will keep max RPM's below 8500(probably a good thing if you like your engine). Others have no restriction at all.

Surely all bikes with the "pink" wire has the same pin out on the cdi thats pink? Anyone know which pin out it is?

Here's a typical GY6 cdi pinout Don't cut any wires, that restriction is found on 2 strokes, most GY6 cdi's are not restricting If you cant acheive 9000rpm then maybe your cdi is rev limited

From what I can tell, I have a 2 pin cdi. It has one black wire and one gray wire. Does anyone have a clue as to if this is unrestricted?
