Hey Guys, A while back I read a post on this board for using a turkey baster for priming the carb. Well, my wife wouldn't let me do that, so I used a meat injector instead. You know, the kind that looks like a big syringe with a long needle? First, I stuck the plunger in the tank to lube the rubber gasket, that way it inserts easy into the syringe. Next, I simply stuck the needle into the tank, withdrew about 70cc's of gas, pulled the line off of the gas valve, inserted the needle into the tube, and pumped it all in. She started on the first push of the starter. No mess, no drips, no trying to force something into the small diameter fuel line because the needle fits right in there. Just thought I'd share! ;D

yeah they do that on the racing scooters and bikes a lot. I see a manually operation plunger unit on the ATV's a lot when they remove the automatic enrichener unit. So did you remove the automatic enrichener unit on your bike? I used to use a syringe like thingie I got from the local Radio Control Hobby Shop on some engines where I had to prime them a little to get the engine to fire up.

High-octane turkey next Thanksgiving. Kinda kills the effects of L-tryptothan.
