I know this thread maybe a little long but felt compelled to share with the forum and any newbies looking for a scoot from a great company who cares and is willing to help but most of all answers back in a very quick timely fashion.
I sent them a message as follows?
Me:
Do you give scootdawg members a discount?
Chad replied:
Unfortunately we don’t. Right now prices are as low as we can go.
Thanks,
Chad
my reply:
Do you match prices:
www.motorsportus.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=342 $1299
www.awesomebuggy.com/products/motorscooters/gsr/index_gsr.shtml $1449
Of course trying to get the best price :-)
Chad replied:
I just called Lance Powersports. These two companies are no longer dealers, so if you ordered one you wouldn’t get it and they would refund you. Plus, both of their prices are very old. Lance sets minimum pricing for their scooters. The GSR cannot be sold less than the price on our site.
Sorry, I wish I could go lower, but we would then get cut off as a dealer and Lance wouldn’t honor any warranty claims. Look at it this way, you get free PDI inspection now, free delivery and your still about half the price of a Honda or Yamaha. Can’t beat that.
Thanks,
Chad
Me:
Chad your honesty and respect have won me over as a consumer. Your patience and easy words is great customer service. i will post this email on scootdawg.com. Do you charge more for Shipping? MCO papers? Is your company able to do small upgrades to the bike- ie mp3 w/ speakers/ alarm/ remote start/ led lights?

Hi George,
Thank you for the kind words and a post on the forum. Most people only complain online when they have a problem, it’s nice to see happy customers also take time out of their busy day to write a good comment.
No, we do not have any hidden fee’s. Shipping is included to your door and we process MCO’s for no additional charge.
As for upgrades, they would be something you would have to install, we don’t offer things installed before shipping the bike. Plus adding a remote start and alarm would need to be a universal part as Lance doesn’t offer these as options unless it comes on the bike from the factory. We do however have a very cool stereo for all of the scooters, even has a sub you put under the seat and speakers in the mirrors. Very cool.

Thanks,

Me:
Very Welcome. Would that speaker system draw down on the battery? I have heard the batterys that come with the GSR are piece of .... Do you have better batterys that could be installed prior to shipment during PDI? Sorry if im a pain and take too much of your time.
Chad:
Hi George,
The batteries are okay, seem to last 1 to 2 years. Just buy a replacement from a local store, like a auto parts store, motorcycle dealer or batteries plus type of store when it wears out. The speakers will pull more power, but should still get you through a year on that battery.
Thanks,
Chad
He was sincere, honest, too the point, and willing to help as much as possible (even if not w/ the price)
$1249 or $1449 or $1499? Price isnt eveything and he has won my sale. They also have many parts available and answer emails with in a day. Customer Service is what pays for the bike in the end and with Extremescooters.biz I have found that.
ps. I did ask chad for permission to post his replies
