hello everybody! i love this site.. its very informative.. i have a question that i would love to get some good advice on.. I am looking at possibly purchasing a Lance Duke Touring 250.. from what i have read here and around online, ppl seem generally pleased with Lance scooters, hence the reason I have decided to go with with them. However, I have also noticed all the posts saying to buy locally, rather than online.. so i begun looking around locally, and unfortunately with the dealers locally they arent just asking for a few hundred more than what i have found online but rather close to a $1000 dollars more. Which seems kind of ridiculous. So what im asking, is should i pay the extra $1000 to purchase locally or purchase online? I have also looked around and found two service depts near me that work on chinese scooters, and i even mentioned specifically the lance duke touring 250 and they said they service those as well. so what should i do? thanks!!

Soulkutz - welcome aboard. I am a newbie also. All I can say is that this board rocks and the information here will keep you reading for hours on end. My wife is making fun of me now since for the past 2 weeks I have been on here every night researching and reading.
That is a tough choice you have and it is one I may have to make in the next day or two. I have two dealers near me. I too want a Duke Touring 250. Online, one of the dealers had a pretty good price. Then yesterday it went up $450. I am going to try to go instore to today to see what price they offer there. If they are a $1k mark up, I think I am going to have to look at ordering online and taking the chance of a drop ship.

yeah.. a 1000 dollars is a lot more to pay i think.. i could understand like 3 or 400 more or even 500 more.. but a 1000 seems like quite a bit.. but if it means i get a good working model in comparison to one that is going to be nothing but problems then its a no brainer.. u definitely need to post a review of your touring when you get it =)
