They have a nice website, but couldn't reach them by phone. www.gekgo.com/They are advertising a Linhai 2008 300cc. I've sent an email asking about the validity of the claim.

While their website seems very professional, I don't know if I'm ready to buy from a flea market dealer on this one. Again, thanks for the information.

They have been around on the web for a long time. They are suppose to have a store in Fl. If you can't reach them by phone I would tend to forget them. At least most website sales answer their phone initially to sell you something.

And got a discount for being a member of this forum!

How much of a discount did you get and who do I have to talk to there to get it?
Thanks.

How much of a discount did you get and who do I have to talk to there to get it? Thanks. I spoke with John. I will tell you that I felt it was a fair discount, especially since you can't find the scoot for less than 2699 anywhere on the web. Tell him Robert sent you!

At least most website sales answer their phone initially to sell you something. I emailed them 3 days ago about the 2008 Linhai 300cc and just got this email back minutes ago: The Main Streets that are available are 2008's and they have the back rest which is nice. And they can come to you fully serviced. -- If you have any questions what so ever please feel free to let us know.
We look forward to servicing you.
Thanks, but I really don't want to be serviced. I was talking about the scoot.

Yes, I've been by his shop at the flea market several times but all he had was a few alternative vehicles like 2 seater cars with 150 - 200cc engines and a few of the little $200 style electric scooters.
He seemed to be pretty straight forward though.

After reading the posts about different online companies to by my first scoot bc of inflating gas prices it was nice to finally see one that was local to me in the Tampa Bay area. I sent them a generic email as follows: On Thu, Jun 5, 2008 at 9:06 PM: any specials on 250cc scooters? are you at the flea market in oldsmar? With this response: Yes, we are at the market fro 10:30am till 3:00pm We have no bikes their at the moment sold out. We can get a 250cc GTR for $2699 that the best price we have on 250's -- If you have any questions what so ever please feel free to let us know. We look forward to servicing you. Yours Truly Peter Spoto 707 West Bay Dr. Largo, Fl. 33770 T. 727-581-7397 F. 727-475-1178 Email: sales@gekgoworldwide.com www.gekgo.comwww.tangotrikes.comwww.MoJoPowerSportsinc.com The flea market store is very limited in selection but they are also very pricey. Why is it so hard to find a local dealer that is competitive in price as i have seen from this forum on other companies via internet sales? George

They have a brick and mortar store with a small inventory as well as their flea market operation. the store's on West Bay at Clearwater-Largo Road.
I got my Lance Vintage from them. The guy (there's a guy and a lady) is pretty cool. They've gotten a little sketchy since I've had two whole (minor) issues (that should have been taken care of at PDI) with the scoot. The lady, Frances, is all about selling, not so much about service, and she's the one that answers the phone, mostly.
All she ever says is, "I'm so busy, so busy, no time, come back tomorrow"
So now, anything I pay for, I get elsewhere. Warrantee issues, they get to deal with. I'm happy with my scoot and with the price, and I like having a 'dealer'/shop so close to my house, but if I find my next scoot cheaper online, I'll save the money and just have it serviced by them (or someone else) after getting it delivered to my house.

don't think they will be interested in servicing a scoot they sell that was purchased from a drop-shipper.....that would be like bringing your own meat to a steakhouse to have them prepare a meal for you........
