i just bought a used kymco grand vista and wanted a extra key. so i stopped at a local true value hardware store and found a toyota blank that works. the brand of key is an ilco and has a #x137 on the blank.

I lost one of two keys, and thought I'd better replace now befor I loose other. Went to walmart, and they would't even consider copying key. I went to an old time hardware store that still had old time key copyer and got key made. If anyone wants key I would advise the same I think it cost like around a dollar (can't remember for sure, but I remember it was cheeep) I gues that is why there are so few old time hardware stoors, they don't charge enough.

Good info to know about the key blank.
I just broke my key off in my ignition. I still have my spare and the two remote start fobs, but will have to get the piece out and get another spare made.
I had no problem turning the ignition on/off. Just used my truck key by turning it sideways and using the end to turn the switch.
The place my ignition sits is in the way, and I have hit it with my knee quite a few times----turning the ignition off. I want to find another location for it, or bypass it and use a rocker switch or something.

i just happens that i work part time at a true value hardware store . of which one of the things i do is cut keys.and i have seen several china scoot keys wanting to be copied. so i always look at the import key blanks because they have metric measurements and the toyota blanks seem to be the closest so far.

go to menards and get the axxess+ with the number 50 on the back. It will stick out of the ignition a little but turns it fine.

I ordered a blank off ebay for chinese scooters. It is actually a ilco X84. Fits great and is much smaller than the 121 I had my first spare made from.
