This is Me... is that You?
I've been grazing around this board, and what I've seen convinced me to buy a new scoot and join what seems to be the best scooter site on the net!
I'm in my 50's and have ridden motorcycles since I got my MC endorsement in 1972.....until I busted up my back in 1999. (Was struck by a wooden shipping container.) After the 5th surgery in 2006, I knew that I would not ever ride another motorcycle again, as I cannot get either leg up and over a seat or fuel tank. Never occured to me to consider a scooter until I came across this board. Went out and tried a couple scoots (too tall, bad fit) until I came across the Kymco Grand Vista, a new blue 2007 in the showroom at Interbay Scooters in Seattle. FANTASTIC folks! They had the optional touring seat on it. What a PEFECT SCOOT! My feet touch the ground with a few spare inches. But the SEAT.....an absolutely wonderful ergonomic and orthopedically perfect fit to my back and all the hardware in it! I bought it on sight. I left it there to get a Givi trunk and stoplight kit installed. They even included a battery charger/maintainer and hardwired a quick-connect terminal for it on the bike. They (Interbay) reduced the price from $4399 to $4099 for the scooter and removed the freight and set-up charges. I paid the extra cost for the trunk and light kit. they installed it gratis. The Grand Vista doesn't exacerbate the condition of my back whatsoever. Been riding it ever since.....everything about it is great!

Howdy!
My inseam is 29 inches. The touring seat moves the driver position forward slightly. A few folks had an issue with the shorter leg room, however I am 5'10" and it's great for me.
Hope to meet a lot of folks on this site!
