It could be used more as a reference if anything, I would think. If you put the sticker/gauge on there and it always runs at say 200 degrees then you notice it at 225 one day you know something's up. For a water cooled bike an actual coolant temp gauge would be much better. If you wanted to spend more money and time on an air cooled bike an oil temp gauge may work a little better.

Interesting. let us know how it goes. I am curious to read about the results. I am thinking about hooking up a thermocouple and temperature reading mutlimeter to mine, as soon as I figure out where I put them last. I have them around here someplace.

Today the ambien teperature is around 70F, with 10-15mph wind. After riding two-up for little over 30 miles, the temperature guage only showed the 90c/194f bar turning green-yellowish color. Not exactly sure what to make of it.. I used to own a 00 Honda VFR800 that have a digital coolant temperature readout, normal riding is usualy around 180f, during stop-n-go traffic in 90f teperature the coolant temp would shoot up to 220-235f.
