I'm new to this site. I bought a Roketa mc54/yy250t in 2007 from Allnewspoorts in Kansas. I got to put about 50 miles on it last year with no problems. Had it stored indoors in a heated garage (i'm from Minnesots) throughout the winter and was able to sart it from time to time. The last time i started it before I brought it home the coolant temp gauge spiked. I had read about many others that said it was a gauge problem so I rode it home. Toward the end of the ride home it diffinitely overheated. I could hear the coolant boiling. I took a look once i was home and saw the coolant was low so i topped it off and figuired that that was all the problem. Tonight 4 days later I started it up and after 3-5 minutes the coolant gauge jumped to max. I did realize however that the coolant fan was not running. With that i was hoping to find what might be my best plan of attack to troubleshoot this. Thanks in advance to all responders

If your fan is not coming on your thermostat is stuck... do not keep riding it!

Thats good advice I did not intend to ride it again until I was able to troubleshoot and correct the problem. Today Memorial Day I took off the right side rocker panel. I own a lazer temp gun so I started it up and watched the radiator temp it never got past 75-80 degrees. I then started the drain and flush routine. The way the hoses are run in this thing it is no wander that peopble get air locks. I'm pretty sure your correct that the thermostat is stuck but how in the wrold do you find it and when you do how do you replace it. I'm pretty sure it is at the location where the hose connects fairly close to the top of the engine. Help me here I'm stuck. Thanks, to all resoponders

Hi guys, new to the site but been an observer for a few weeks, i've taken notice of the Vento Phantera GT5 150cc with a top speed of 65mph depending on weight. My question is how is this scoot working out for you guys? Does it have the necessary pep' to keep up with traffic or hold it's own up hills? I'm also looking at the Echarm 150cc or ITA 150cc again for the agility and power the Echarm is Liquid cooled and more expensive the ITA is air cooled and not as expensive. I'm also leaning towards the MC-54B 250cc, knowing full well i'll have to do the PDI which I don't mind doing on any of this choices, i'm moderately mechanically inclined basically meticulous when I have to be..lol but thanks to scootdawg i came across the PDI post...very happy by that by the way, so i'd like to hear some feed back on the MC-54B as well, like to hear from folks who possibly have had these scoots longer than maybe two months or so. Thanks guys glad to be part of the team', invaluable advice here
