Hi, just joined today but been reading forum a few months. I'm 61 live in N.C. Bought the wife a JmStar150cc ( yeah, lol, I know they at the bottom of rateing list, lol,. After 48 Kilometers she froze on high throtle in a curve turning left. We were very lucky she had no broke bones just major bruises an few cuts. Oh, I forgot to mention she hit a tree with left side the handlebars just to the right of the mirror. She wants to ride again, But I'm scared for her. It's been about 4 weeks an I finally got it glued an duck taped back together, {the front fairing an dash sections} I read recently about a scoot mag. editor getting hit, I hope he's o.k. I ride a 2006 Virago 250cc an we know how much respect we get rideing, Made my reckedrat user name from the wrecked scooter!! I know very little about scooters, but never had a vehicle in a shop for repairs but once since 1971, so I want be much help on repairs, but look forward to being part of the forum. Jim in N.C.

Have you and your wife taken the MSF course? There's a lot to be learned from the classes and it might not only strengthen your skills but your confidence. It's great that you could report only minor physical injuries. What type of gear was your wife wearing when she crashed?
Hope healing is rapid, that repairs on the scoot go well and that you are both safely back on the road soon.
