Hey,
My name is Amber, I have been interested in scooters for a while. I do have a motorcycle and a motorcycle license, but i am considering buying a scooter. I found this message board while I was looking for information about scooters.
Currently, the top scooter on my list is the Keeway Arn 150.

Welcome! Lot's of Good info here. Being from NH you must be looking at Keeway through AOGEAR in Manchester. I went to school at Daniel Webster in Nashua and spent 4 years down that way. Now I'm next door in Maine. I too am an ex-motorcycle rider. You'll love a scooter. Keeway seems a decent scoot for the money. Not a lot about them here yet but they have reviewed well in the scooter mags.

No, I am actually looking up in Concord at the Segway dealership. I like the fact that Keeway has a dealer network and a decent warranty and they are priced decent as well.
So what made you choose a scooter over a motorcycle?

Lack of discipline and 2 young kids. One day I looked at the speedometer on my bike and was doing over 170. I said nope you can't handle it and sold it that week. Bought my first scoot and haven't looked back. I rode motorcycles for 20 years. I still do when the opportunity presents itself but the scooters are just as fun, simple, friendly, and aren't pretentious. They are what they are. People like them. Even though I am a big grizzly red-neck when I am on a scooter people seem comfortable approaching me and starting a dialog about the scoot. I am long past caring about image. It gets 80 mpg but the smiles per mile are infinite.

Ah, yeah, that would be a good reason! I like the simplicity of the scooters over the bike. I managed to lose all confidence I gained on the bike last year...and am now pretty scared of it. I am taking another motorcycle rider training class in hopes that will help...

The added hassle of dealing with the clutch and shifter can add a level of intimidation that is hard to overcome especially in traffic. Re-take the course and practice. You will get it I'm sure. The CM400 is a decent little bike. I just like scoots now better. Keep us posted!
