Just stumbled across this forum this morning, while trying to get some more info on scooters in general. I'm looking for an alternative to my daily driver 1964 Ford Falcon Station Wagon, which is great fun to drive, but at 20mpg it's not the most wallet friendly. I live in the Kansas City, MO area, and noticed several others in the area as well. I'm particularly interested in the Qlink Pegasus, good performance, and doesn't look like it should be on the cover of a DEVO album... I've been leary of the run of the mill Chinese scooters, but this one looks like it's got some quality control as well as a solid design. Thanks for reading my post, I shall definitely be reading many of you all's as well. Cheers!

Been very happy with mine....only have 200 miles on it so far but as a noob to scooting, it's very easy to ride with nice acceleration, handling, and plenty of leg room for my size (I'm 6' 1" and other 150cc models I sat on my knees came close to the handle bars).
Although I have no basis for comparison, I've read that the bigger wheels make for a more comfortable ride. It certainly doesn't look as if it will have its lunch money taken by the Harleys I park next to at work. One of them gave me a bell to put on my scoot (although I don't know why...anyone???)
It has a good deal of storage but I would really like it if I could fit my full face helmet. I use one of the storage areas in front to hold my garage door opener. They don't hold much more than that so it would be nice if it were a little bigger too.
Overall, I am riding it as much as possible. Now I want another one...

keepaustin,
'Tis a gremlin bell. Supposed to keep the evil little buggers off your bike. I see you're from Austin. Cool. I reside down the road a piece in San Antonio.

Good to know about the legroom- I'm 6'3" myself, and don't want to have to steer with my knees.

64falcon,
I'm very new to all this as well, but have noticed a few posts on this forum talking about overheating issues with the Qlink Pegasus. Might want to look into some of those posts.

I've seen the overheating posts as well, it does seem to be the most revered and reviled scooter on the board. I'm still looking around at some other alternatives as well.

jb - Thanks for the explanation of the bell. The guy who gave it to me did not explain it but just said I needed to find a place to put it on my scooter. After reading about it, I have double the protection which is really needed with all of the monster SUVs in the city. Don't know if I'll make a trip down to SA just yet but am already looking at the guy who is going across country in a scooter and see what roads he's taking. scootingranny - Thanks for the links. Those are great videos. Just got back from Dallas this weekend. Over $100 spent in gas alone I did see a Berg in a parking lot and now I want one even more. Always glad to hear from a fellow Texan. 64falcon - My plan is to add to the Pegasus history and post my experiences. I pray that I got one of the good ones. With so much discussion about it on this forum, the moderators could probably make it a separate board all to itself.
