I am a newbie to scooters, and am loving it so far. I have a Roketa Capri 150, and it has been working really well, but I am not happy with the speed. They claim it can get up to 65MPH, but it doesn't go over 50 and on regular hills, goes down to 40-45MPH. I am looking for a way to improve the speed such that it will go up 65MPH on a flat road if need be, but 60 on average. Anyone have any ideas? I read alot about general suggestions, but they are just too general. I want to start simple, something I could undo if I needed. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Hi bepitt... Welcome! You might have better luck posting your question to the 125cc-specific forum. I lurk around the 50cc forum.
I tend to be a bit of a Google hack, so I point my browser to google.com and search (for example):
"site:scootdawg.proboards59.com 150 speed" without the double-quotes.
The "site:" string is a special command that limits the google search to the site you want to search. Try variations of the "150 speed" keywords. You could try "150 top end" or "150 performance" or "150 mods".
You can't do much to improve speed without some mechanical know-how. So get a good metric socket set, wrenches, a strap-wrench, and school up on the CVT transmission. It's hard to both improve speed across flats and up-hills with the same modification. Look into a performance variator, Dr. Pulley roller weights, and a high-end clutch to achieve what you want. You should expect to pay $200 - $400 USD for these parts altogether.
At the end of the day, it comes down to weather conditions and rider weight. Hills are always trouble.
