First like to say hi my name is Randy and i'm from the Cedar Rapids, IA area. With gas prices and owning gas guzzlers me and the girlfriend are looking at getting a scooter. First i was leary about getting one of these "chineese" scooters but it seems if you have the mechanical ability theres not much to worry about and i'm sure my automotive/common sense background should make it alot easier to maintain one of these
We're looking at getting the tank models in the 150CC arena as 50 doesnt seem to be enough and 250 might be too much as we dont plan on going on the highway.
Thanks, Randy

Welcome to the pound! You'll find lot's of help and info here. Read the posts and search for several models you are interested in. There is a world of variation in China imports. Make sure you find the bike you like and that fits you. Then spend the most you can for the best quality. It is important to think about your needs and how much you'll use the bike and for what. Smart of you to consider your mechanical abilities too. Good luck in your search. Tom

I've been lurking and reading alot of post on all the forums and web pages. The china scoots do make you worry abit that might just get lemon from the get go. From the getgo i plan on changing all the cheap hoses and such right away so i dont have to worry about it.
Also i work at Oreilly Auto Parts here in Iowa so that also helps some.
