Big Easy Weekender - SaturdayWell, Saturday morning rolled around a little faster than I wanted, but, up and at 'em! Today, The Transportation Revolution, Home of Triumph and Vespa of New Orleans kicked off the day by providing us a place to meet, socialize and have breakfast. They also had a raffle for a really nice riding jacket and provided free t-shirts! Thanks Guys!I started off early, but you know Murphy's Law! The steering on the ferry was broken! So while I waited for the mechanic to fix it, I got a couple of shots of New Orleans across the river you might like: This is Jackson Square in the mist: This is a shot of the River Walk and the Blue building is the New Orleans Aquarium. The tall building is the World Trade Center: So, finally arrived downtown at Vespa of New Orleans: My first wheelie on the il Bello! A 1969 Vespa: No one could figure out what exactly this was... The owner called it, "The Rat" Bour... Oh hell, this is the guy from Sweeden: Is that a Honda Passport? YUP! And after an hour, we're finally off! Heading for the D-Day Museum: This ia a girl on a sister scoot of the il Bello! And finally, after a trip around town, we arrived at the museum: Well, after a while, we decided to head out to City Park and go the British car show there. On the way, ominous black clouds loomed overhead, so I broke off and headed back. There was more to do but I had to get back and clean up some paperwork... so that's it for me for today! Tomorrow, we'll be getting together for the "BBQ @ Da Fly" at the River View Audubon Park. More to come tomorrow! -Rich
